When we pick up the Van - we had to take it to get air in the tires. They were very low and there was an indicator light on for it. Also, when we returned it - apparently it was also supposed to be "Washed" on the outside? The guy at the store was upset that there was "mud" or whatever on the outside of the van. I'm sure there was some dirt, as we did drive it on the highway and it was wet outside after the morning snow melted away. Seems a bit too much for a vehicle needed to be "Washed" before returning it.Ronald C.

Everything was good. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was having to check in and out through the app and take pics of license, odometer, fuel, inside cabin, and in the back upon check out. I thought using the app was just an option for quicker check in but it has to be done in the app. They can't check you in or out. Then I had to answer the same questions and show I.d. Again because their computer wasn't showing my check in I guess. Other than that everything else was fine. I chose this site because of it being a nearby location.Brenda D.

The computer at this location was not working and the worker was unable to log on to see our reservation. we had to download the app to get an access code but that was not working. We waited for 45 minutes for her to call the company for help and they couldn't help. I had to call a number from my phone where someone was finally able to help me. We wasted 45 minutes of our moving day dealing with technical issues.Dana B.

When I returned the rental I couldn't find the drop box, turned out it was behind the building. The store was scheduled to open at 7:00, it still wasn't open at 7:15. There were several people outside waiting for them to open and one was angry and banging on the window and doors. I was concerned for my and my daughter's safety so we left the van, took the key with me. I retuned at 8:15 and they were open. The woman gave me a hard time about being able to find the key drop and that â€œa family was scheduled to pick up the van at 8:00 amâ€. I explained that I wasn't scheduled to return the van until 4:30 that afternoon and asked how it could be scheduled to be picked up before it's scheduled return. I would rent a U-Haul again but definitely NOT from this location.Stacy C.

I had proof that I had a rental from a specific time period and the UHAUL distributor claimed I actually had it for 2 hours ahead of the time UHAUL confirmed with me. She then mentioned that she would've called me to verify earlier but assumed I just canceled the reservation so she didn't and then just insisted I was 2 hours late. I was still able to get the UHAUL truck thanks to my family explaining everything to her but it was still very stressful especially when I was already stressed about my move already. Please ensure the UHAUL rental distributors have accurate information that the customers are given to avoid such confusion from happening.Ariana C.

Truck was extremely dirty and the furniture pads requested were not provided. I even had to call costumer services to remove the pads from the charges because the store is unable to fix it.Carlos O.

Vehicle was not present when I arrived and had to wait more than 20 minutes. I received a dirty van, that had used tissues and a soda bottle on the drivers seat. Even though the right rear sliding door closed, it did not register on the van's electrical system and showed an error while driving. The mobile check-in and check-out process was also terrible.Adrian G.
The van was clean however the window or door had a leak as I could hear air coming in. The location was fine but I wish I had done all the reservations ahead of time. Uhaul was having a problem checking people in so we had to call. It too a while to get everything settled. I had to call back after it was all over as someone misspelled â€œ Verizonâ€ and so I didn't get my receipt.leah sunshine D.

Your computer system needs serious overhaul. You must improve communication with customers regarding how to pay for rentals. You're an old company and need a fresh new business model. Too much confusion and too much timr waiting in the dealership office for your website to work has forced me to use Budget Rental to complete my move in May.Harold S.

Truck had an exhaust leak which made a long drive much slower with a full truck and the engine light was on when I got it. Transmission was going in the truck had a hard time shifting into gear. Left driver side looked like tire was not the right size for the truck. 2 dump runs and a big move took over 6 hours. I got charged an extra because i was 30 mins late. Which i believe if the truck was serviced I wouldn't have been late.Victoria N.
Very disappointed in this rental I reserved my truck online in one location. Was called and changed to another location doubling the price of mileage. Was advertised for 2995+ mileage ended up with mileage paying double the price very disappointed in this process will look for an alternative next time I need to rent a truck.Donna F.
Even though it's a self pick up, the gentlemen that works the counter goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Not only did he make sure I understood each step of the process, he actually helped guide me back into the parking spot when I was done with the rental. Extremely friendly and extremely thorough. Made me feel like I had support and help throughout the process. The Uhaul reps were great as well. Informative and accomodating. You guys make moving and renting a truck as easy a process as possible. I've used you twice and will be using you again for future moves. Will definitely recommend to others.Ryan T.

There was a half gallon of whole milk in the uhaul drivers cabin that was incredibly spoiled and was so hot that the bottle was incredibly inflated and looked like it was about to explode.Julia W.

Wipe down the dash board in the vehicle, there was ashes everywhere. I found cigarette buds in the cabin of the cargo van, I am also asthmatic down the smell in the vehicle was over bearing.Shirley S.

The attendant at this U-Haul location was fantastic! She was extremely helpful with the process taking time to explain to me how to check the truck back in especially. I would highly recommend you using this location at 935 Enfield Street! The only downside I would say is they don't offer the larger trucks at this location, its understandable however since the location is rather small. But I was able to get a vehicle large enough to get things from my storage unit and to my house in 2 trips. Overall I am very happy with my reservation.Mary H.

I was overcharged close to $70, then was offered $34 as a credit. Spoke to 3 different representatives on the phone and was given 3 different answers and prices, so clearly that is an issue. The website said .59 cents per mile, then was told over the phone its .69 cents per mile, which doesn't make sense. I feel customer service needs to get on the same page and be trained better. Because I shouldn't have 3 different reasons as to why my total was way over what it was supposed to be. The woman at the location I rented from was helpful & pleasantDavid L.

The people in the store were fantastic and handled my rental very quickly. They were exactly what I would want from my rental experience. The website and application experience is horrific and utterly broken. I could not associate my order with my account in the android application, and I was able to perform the online check-in through the uhaul website but I spent half an hour trying to verify my identification before ultimately going into the store.Eric B.

I was unable to check in only with out downloading the uhaul app which I finally did after over 20 min on hold with customer service. You should tell people they must have the app. Then when I got the code for the key, the key box was empty. I wandered around until I found a convenience store where the woman told me she kept the keys inside. How would I have know that? The location should have left a note or something inside the box. Overall took me over 30 min to pick up the van and was very frustrating.Margaret D.

Clean the rental equipment and take care of maintenance for the vehicle. The Ford van that I rented was very dirty on the inside. Another issue was that the van was clearly due for an oil change due to the constant reminder with the on board message.Dena M.
The truck was clean but I couldn't read the mileage because there was a message over it that said "oil change needed" the woman in the store was very helpful in resolving my problem, and said that uhaul had been notified of the message weeks earlier.Diane S.

Everything went well! The clerks at the Food Mart were very helpful. The van was clean and in good running order! We were moving some furniture and the cargo van worked out perfectly!gloriajean S.
I chose a 24 hour rental on the app. Upon arrival, I was asked how long I would need the rental for, so I told him that I was hoping to get it done in about 6 hours. He said most people need about 4. I didn't realize this, but he changed my reservation from 24 hours to 6 hours. I found out after I was already at the location for a few hours packing and loading. I saw that I had received an email that said my rental was for 6 hours. When it got close to 6 hours, I called the provided number to extend the rental only to be met with a permanent ring and no way to leave a message. I took about 8.5 hours. They charged me for two days. On the app, they had options of 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, and a few more up to 24. I checked them before making the reservation and saw that every one was the same price. That's why I chose 24 hours. Now this asshole at this location took it upon himself to change the time so he could get extra money out of me. I'm fighting this, will sue if I have to. And it wouldn't be just for this one occurrence either. A few days prior at the West Springfield location I had a huge mistake made by Uhaul for a 20' truck rental I'd had and didn't even notice it until after I also rented this van that they screwed up on my phoned in extension. I called on the 31st to tell them that I needed the truck until as long as Monday the 4th instead of Friday the 1st. They extended my rental, unbeknownst and undisclosed to me, for a full month! This caused Uhaul to temporarily debit me for $1,752 and change. This brought my bank account down to nothing and I couldn't eat between Sunday and Thursday, when I finally got the money back from the Bank. Uhaul "customer service" is more of an inconvenience than anything else, purposely trying to get every penny they can out of their customers. It is highly dishonest. I actually need to rent a truck again in a few weeks, and it's not going to be Uhaul.Emmett H.

Personnel who attended needed to be trained. Customer service was very poor and communication was not clear when we met with them. The attendant that we met was very rude and abrupt with us and didn't seem to care about our experience, but rather just get us out of their way.Kathryn S.
