My wife and I rented a 10' U-Haul to switch apartments. We hired a company through the U-Haul Moving Help service called Easy Mover (www.movinghelp.com).They did an excellent job in helping us, and even provided extra muscle in getting our U-Haul unstuck from a snow patch. I would definitely hire them again in the future if we require moving help again.
I rented a trailer and it was dirty when I got it, and I was worried about being charged for it cause they were extremely fast going through the rental process but I'm extremely great full for their check out app that let me see and take pictures of the trailer. I dropped the trailer off after hours and everything was fun, no worries. I got text saying my deposit is ready to be returned by text message the next day.
Worst customer service from call centre staff and they pushed my reservation 3 times by themselves and didn't even tell me the third time they move it.I should not even give you 0.5 but your Sales associate " Aws" saved my day and his actions and behaviour restored my faith in humanity. Hats off to his customer service but besides him everything is crappy with U-haul and specially the lady I spoke to from customer service as she was consistently telling me to go to U-haul's competitors rather than keeping your customers happy you are sending them to your competition, Wow!!!!! I am not impressed. U-haul said they have applied a $50 credit to my Visa card but its been a week we had that conversation but I don't see any credit. My only request is stick to your words and hire people like "Aws" who actually care about people. Will never recommend U-haul.
Summer tires in Alberta Winter isn't a safe option. The ramp was covered in ice & the floor on the inside of the van was covered in ice. This made for a very unsafe & precarious loading & unloading experience. When I brought this up with the staff I got no response.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Long line-up (30 min wait) though. Phone support was also excellent. The truck was great. The tires are insufficient for Alberta winters.
When we picked up the vehicle, the counter attendant didn't do a walk through or walk around of the vehicle with me. As we went to load some items into the back cargo area, we noticed a lock on the door. Going back into the store to ask about a key, the staff exclaimed "that's what's wrong with that truck!". A staff member grabbed a pair of bolt cutters, and my brother cut the lock off. The back cargo area was dirty, the staff member swept it out for us. Upon getting into the cab and driving away I got a text message to check in with the vehicle. After I filed it the check list, we noticed how dirty the inside of the truck was, stains on the dash, steering wheel was sticky, cup holders were very sticky. Windshield had been horribly wiped on the driver side and was streaky. We returned it in the same condition. I'm not cleaning up another person's mess. I will fight the charges if the location tries to charge me a cleaning fee. Basically the staff seem like they don't care, proper cleaning protocols are not in place, especially given the times we are in, it's unacceptable.
I've rented a pickup from this branch a couple of times, and staff are always attentive, and friendly.
Was charged a cleaning fee even though I noted that the truck was dirty and smelled like cigarettes before I left the lot. Honestly not even surprised, anytime i try Uhaul something goes wrong. Also, the self check in takes just as long and a phone call.
The agent i dealt with was very helpful and provides an excellent customer service experience

Did not get the pad lock code. Could have been my fault but caused a major delay.
The trailer we rented smelled very very strongly of gasoline
Need faster service at counter, yard is a mess lots of garbage,trailer I rented needed a outside wash ,,,staff should be wearing masks covering their nose no sanitizing of debit machine that i saw ,customers inside without masks should be asked to put one on ,seen 2 customers 1 on check in 1 on check out no mask
Get the order correct, have personal be a little more friendly and reasonable in their help and attitude!
If you confirm an online reservation, make sure you can deliver. Calling me a couple of days later, after I've already made all the arrangements to move on schedule, telling me you can't give me the truck for the requested number of hours and from the requested location, is poor service
Our initial reservation was for 9am. We called in to make sure our truck was ready to go and were on hold until 9:30. Then we were told we were 30 minutes late but our truck was good to go so they would change the reservation to 10am. When we checked in, We were told to go outside and the CSR would have the keys and would take us to the truck. We stood in the middle of the parking lot and no one came. We finally asked one of the CSRs if he knew where our truck was, and he said the other guy had the keys. We started walking around the lot ourselves to find our truck only to realize one of the CSRs had put someone in our truck without even looking at the model number or the contract. The other customer almost drove off the lot. This is all after the other customer not returning our truck until 10:30am so our reservation was delayed by 2 hours.
They change my reservation at the last minute then dont have the equipment I rented. I made a uhaul reservation a month ago and they think it's ok to just change dates and times. Its complete bullshit. The service is crap too. It took me over an hour to just return the truck. I dont know about any of you but when I'm moving I dont have an hour to sit in a line. I tried to return the truck twice online and it didnt work ,so I had to get back in line and start the wait all over. Overall a shitty experience not to mention I was told if the truck is late being returned I'll be charged 50 bucks because someone else reserved it. The truck was still there well after I returned it . The guys there also told other people that there's no penalty for returning the truck late. The employees all need to get on the same page.
