I was over charged and had my account overdrafted
Fumigate the trailers. The one we got smelled vile and disgusting. It was like hauling our belongings in an ashtray.
Very easy/efficient rental process.
I had to go out if my way by an hour to pick up the U-Haul. Instead of where I wished to pick it up. You changed it 2 days before pick up. I think you should stick with your confirmation of pick up and drop off and not change locations. Inconvenient and distressing during a stressful time as any move would be... did NOT need added stress. The U-Haul, however, worked well and did the job!
No Masks, bunch of ppl hanging around. Wasn't brought to the truck, didnt inspect with me. Just told the truck was out there and he never left behind his counter.

The truck was clean, but smelled badly of weed smoke...weed is legal in Maine, but the not everyone approves of its use (I don't care, my wife and son both partake)...but those who are less accepting of the practice may have complained about the strength of the odor. I aired it out for you some during my rental. Might be a good thing to ask agents in Maine to air out vehicles before re-renting them, if the smell is strong, as it was in this case. For the most part, I just giggled and said to myself, "Welcome to Maine!"

The truck leaked and several things got wet.
Return the equipment to scooters U-Haul at 2:30 in the afternoon. So you at approximately 6 p.m. I received an email from U-Haul instructing me how to return the equipment. By this time I had already returned the equipment and left and gone home. Now U-Haul is going to charge me $20 because I didn't take pictures of the truck. I didn't cause any damage to it I swept the truck out and I really think that this was an unfair practice by U-Haul to charge me $20 for informing Lee 4 hours late how to return a vehicle. With this in mind it becomes very distasteful to even think that I would ever rent from U-Haul again.

Was not able to change credit card when I brought vehicle back. The guy tried several times on his phone in his uhaul app. Frustrating.

This does not pertain directly to this location but to the customer service phone line. My drop off instructions were to call sad number to get the adress. Wated on hold for what seamed like forever, got the adress, found out the drop off location was closed for the holiday weekend and was told that the only way to return a trailer was to call customer service at the location. Was on hold for 26 minutes before I was simply told to use the web site checkout that 2 other people told me I couldn't do. Long story short call center people need better training so people aren't waisting their time on hold.
The roof leaked. Roadside assistance tried twice in one day to get it to stop. It still leaked. My boxes were wet and I lost my unloading help on Sunday. I asked for an extension, then had to argue to not place the late fee on my account.
get rid of the requirement to provide a family members name and number to be able to rent equipment. You have my license and credit card why do you need anything else. It is bullshit. Wayne Field
I have submitted a request for a refund for the overage in the fuel I put into the truck, but have not heard back. I over filled the truck with gas because the drop off location told me to fill it up. So I did. But when I checked with my friend who picked up the truck I was informed that it was only at a half a tank when we picked it up. I put in an additional 11 gallons at $2.82/gallon, how can I get reimbursed for the $31.02? Thank you!
