There were some computer problems that caused some delays but the tech helping us worked through it or rather around it. Great job. Otherwise... all other aspects of the pickup were as expected.

U-haul helpers did not show up! They turned off their phone service on our move day. Never use a and d movers ever!
We had done the rental online to save time, but still had to go into the store location when we got there. We had to wait nearly an hour as there was only 1 person working that morning and there were 7 people in line ahead of us. There was to have been a dolly in the truck but there wasn't. It put our move time back over 1 hour and we had to send someone to pick it up when we got back to the move in site. I don't recommend using online as it didn't save anytime & I was not given credit back for not having the dolly. Very disappointed . L Sowden

Each location should answer their phone-We went to the location of SE 14 DM Iowa to rent a golf cart trailer. They did not have one but there was one at the 63rd store so the girl reserved it for us for Tuesday. Asked when we wanted to pick it up and we said 8 o clock. She said ok I have reserved it for seven to 11 o clock for you to pick it up for the day. Tuesday morning we get a call at 7-15 which I missed and the voicemail said"If you do not pick up your trailer in 15 min. we are cancelling your reservation". We then called back only to wait twenty min. to get a answering service. After getting thru to them we explained what happened and they gave us 30 min. to get our reserved trailer. I really feel this was not good service at all. I will need to rent a trailer again in the spring and probably will use another service

Don't send out a truck with a warning light on stating tire pressure is low. I got a flat tire and it took 6 hours to get a repair guy out to me.

The pmt process was not explained well. U-haul did not do a hold on my card they processed the pmt of $236.87..when returned the truck and car hauler we paid cash as it was a little more. The service person said it should go right back on my card and it hasn't yet and I'm pissed!! I will be calling uhaul customer service when I get home!
Every thing was great. Friendly staff I was previously in the system so I am sure that helped the process go do smoothly

Need more employees, there is often just the store manager handling lots of people at once, but he's great!
The location and the staff member that helped me complete my order was amazing! However, the â€œphone rentalâ€ process was a nightmare!!! So many nonsense questions and the rental process was annoying and seemed â€œnever-endingâ€. So many questions and requirements that I opted to go inside of the store to complete my order. I was lucky that the store was still open because, otherwise, my rental would've been denied because the staff member that was texting me online was â€œunable to reach employerâ€ to verify employment. A tremendously tedious and nonsensical process to simply rent a truck. The staff member that attended me personally at this location was amazing and made the process 100 times better. I normally am an advocate for automated processes but this is a prime example of why we still need excellent customer service and in-person business transactions. I rate the staff a 10/10. The online rental process is 1/10. A lot more work to do on UHaul corporate's side to improve the process. A kaizen is needed that includes consumers, not just employees or IT/business professionals.

If the truck breaks down due to lack of maintenance on a 10 mile trip and it takes over an hour for roadside assistance to respond and a further 3 hours for assistance to arrive. All aspects of the experience could be vastly improved.
Only 1 person working trying to check people in move trucks around and fill propane. I had a reservation for 9:30 am I arrived at the location at 9:40 had to wait in line for 20 mins since only the 1 employee when I finally got to the counter I was told my truck wasn't back yet and it was due back at 9:30, how can you allow a reservation for 9:30 when the truck wasn't due back till 9:30 basically you are banking on someone showing up early or late and that's not good business in my opinion. Then the truck the passenger door was bent and didn't close all the way so it was very loud driving down the road. I wish I could get all my money back for this transaction cause it was horrible when you have a 9:30 reservation and you don't get out in the truck til after 11am isn't acceptable. I moved back to Iowa from Arizona and used penske and that experience was the best I ever had this uhaul experience was by far the worst will definitely take my business to other companies. Another thing uhaul has a reservation guarantee and when it was obviously missed I had to bring it up to the guy and he looked shocked and surprised when I did all he wanted to do for me was cut the mileage rate down a little. WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!
