5x8 was dirty and door did not stay up but customer service was great!

I thought the customer service lacked from the beginning. I was told o the phone the cost to rent for an in-town move was $29,.95 - but what they failed to ever mentioned is that I would be charged per mile in addition to the $29.95. I was misquoted and should of been told about it. In addition, it took forever to get checked in- 3 guys behind the counter - three people in line. One guy was unable to assist any customers and was standing around. Overall, felt deceived.

Waited for someone to come into the office. Didn’t want to see any paper work. Didn’t talk to us. When I asked if I needed to do anything else said no. But I was charged on my credit card $17 for something!?!?

No reflection of this particular location, but arranging this rental was painful. The person that called me to verify the pick up location had me driving about 45 minutes out of my way. I gave 3 other options that were much more convenient for me and the response I received "well the 15' truck is not at those locations". After a very long discussion, I was able to get them to commit to a location closer to me.

We waited in line with four other customers, even WITH a reservation, for over 30-minutes. This site was vastly under-staffed for the volume of known reservations, and inbound/outbound units. In addition, we waited until our clerk cleaned our cab, only to find the service light on when started -- we were told, "it's just a sensor, don't worry about it." We didn't, and it worked fine, but still...

Understaffed there were two employees working and a 3rd was needed. Took over 30 minutes just to pick up trailer we reserved. One was dedicated to turn-ins and the other was working rental counter and getting trailers and vehicles for folks.

Engine light on. Rear axle or trailer light on. Lowest fuel economy possible. It’s unfortunate the customer has to pay the .79/mike with such bad fuel economy. I wouldn’t have driven this truck out of town. Attendant was good and got the job done however. We filled it up vs 3/4. Would have liked the .59/mike rate with such poor condition mechanically.

The person who checked in my vehicle was courteous and recommended that I call back and speak to his manager for All the Troubles that I had experienced with U-Haul the only reason that I rated this location the way I did is because I had poor customer service at the other two locations and I'm just not going to do business with U-Haul I would rather spend my money somewhere else where I'm appreciated and I'm getting my money's worth regardless if it cost me more I would pay it peace of mind is priceless

I had no issues at my drop off location the individuals who checked me and were friendly and courteous and told me that I should call back and talk to the manager they will be happy to help me. This is a great location but again it's connected to U-Haul so I wouldn't recommend any U-Haul to any of my friends or family as we are all military or come from a military background I would recommend that they stay with May flower , Penske and other ones that military contracts to use. The service was easy but you're way too expensive. Charged me over $350 to use a truck to drive 200 miles for only 1 day was bad enough but having to pay for over usage on miles becuase you guys didn't give me enough miles to began with only mad me angry. In the future lower your price and get rid of the mileage over fees BS.

The service in person was great but I had chosen the online checkin service in hope of avoiding waiting in line but I still ended up waiting for the keys. The online check in process was easy to do but doesnt really help you avoid waiting in line.

Nice guys. The first truck had an open window and passanger side seat was wet from rain. On second truck, the Odometer reading must have been wrong. Only drove from site to downtown Des Moines and back. That was maybe 10 miles. Was charged for 35.

First it was difficult to find. When ask for directions the guy on the phone could not give me any because he didn't know where it was. I reserved a truck for TWO days and he wrote the contract for only one.

Staff seemed overworked, and not enough people. Wages paid to obtain good staff seemed out of aligent. I would rather pay more and get good, quick service. I was not sure if truck was clean. I didn't look.

We recently rented a truck to move my son’s family from Waterloo to Des Moines, Iowa. Everything went great... until we returned the truck, after hours, to the U-Haul location at 101 63rd Street in Des Moines. We, my wife and I, were trying to close out the drop off online by taking a photo of the odometer. Embarrassed to say that we ended up locking the keys in the truck, with the parking brake activated and buzzing. We went home (only a couple blocks away) and called Roadside Assistance. We spoke with Matthew H. of Roadside Assistance who did a great job - He called the location manager who said he would take care of the problem and we wouldn’t be charged even though we certainly caused the problem. Special thanks to Matthew H for his great service and making us feel better as we were feeling pretty stupid about causing people extra work. Thank You to the location manager for his great service ... sorry you had to be bothered on a Sunda Night! I’ll certainly recommend UHaul to everyone due to the great service we received!
