The gas and odometer readings were not accurate according to the contract to start and when I mentioned this at time of return the service person shrugged and just looked at me. They were off just enough that it cost me a few extra dollars.

The windshield had ice one it. I spent about 15 mins trying to clean the windshield with my bare hands . Something that I shouldnt have to do. Thanks

The truck was so bad it was scary to drive. The front end shmmied constantly. I originally online applied for a 2 day rental. When I picked up the truck they said it was a one day rental to be returned on sun at 7:30. I told them no way can I make it back by then. They offered 8:30 and I agreed. After returning it at 8:30 they charged me for an xtra day. The store was not to open until 9:00 on sunday and there was no one there at 8:30+15minutes when I was there. How could they rent the truck with no one there ?

Your computer system is programed to charge the Damage Waiver even when the customer and employee decline it. I eventually accepted the $10 fee because I was too busy to spend time fighting it, but it's highly unethical. Please confirm the problem with your employee that also tried to decline it.

There were two women at the pick up location-- one seemed as if she was new. The (younger) woman who was new was patient, kind and doing her best. The woman who appeared to be training her was rude, condescending, and couldn't get out of the store quick enough, In the end, there were errors on my paperwork. The customer service was terrible.

I rented a cargo van which had about 10,000 miles on it. The vehicle was excellent. Moreover the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The gas was way lower than recorded. The miles were way over what was recorder. The weather stripping fell off passenger ddor when opened. This happened the next day as I had not opened it on inspection. I was told to drop off at other location because they were stopping rentals. Upon return I was then sent an email that they changed my rates from local to oneway and billed my credit card as such and for an extra day for no reason. I live week to week so this cause my bank account to overdraw and bounce my rent check. After hours on the phone I was told I would get my money back in about 5 days if DISPUTE warranted it....I will never rent from you ever again.....

Accidental filed up truck more than what we recieved it with. A ltitle disappointed we were not able to be credited for it. The contract told us it would need 10 gallons to bring it back to a 1/2 but putting 10 gallons in actually brought it close to 3/4. Other than that great experience.

The employees were outstanding; very friendly, fast, and informative. The cost was outragous. I wanted a 17' truck. The night before a person called and said they did not have one. Instead of arguing with him I accepted the 15' truck. Somehow I paid more than I expected. I will try next time NOT to use Uhaul for moving. Too expensive!

When I arrived- there was no one at the counter to greet us. We waited for someone to come out from the back office- was not a prompt experience. Service rep could’ve verbalized the additional fees ahead of time, not during a credit card transaction. (Coverage fee, pads & dolly, etc.) We were told we would get a 20 ft truck but at an in-town cost of $29.95 but when we arrived & began our transaction- two additional staff members came from the back & said they ran out of in-town trucks and had to pay full price. So the price was not honored. I’m a bit disappointed that I paid more than expected/planned. I didn’t need ‘coverage’ but was told it’s mandatory and what is an environmental fee?

If you are going to charge a $30 fee and $4/gallon for returning it with less than 1/4 tank, then please fill it up. My last 2 rentals had 1/8 tank and 1/4 tank....it's obnoxious that my first stop after picking the van up is the gas station.

Trucks bodies were dirty fuel gauges were not where uhaul claimed they were and when I returned the trucks with the same levels I was told I was under and was charged

The women at the desk who I rented from was the worse customer service rep I have ever dealt with. When I called in that person was great when I brought it back after hours the young guy there was awesome. It's too bad that one person can make the whole experience a bad one

Your staffer, a young woman did a great job in the MUD! No complaints with her. Muddy yesterday and again today on the return. My shoes and floor mat were covered. The rental trucks are parked on higher dryer ground.

I was told that my truck would be available at 11:00 AM & made arrangements to be there at that time. At 8 AM, I got a call that the truck would be ready at 9AM. I could not get there earlier than 11 & told the agent so. But I got several other calls saying they might give away my truck (reserved in June for 9/1) since I hadn't arrived yet. Luckily we got there just before another family, who had no reservation, was about to be given our truck. I appreciate that the agent was trying to be kind to another family, but changing the pick up time was UHAUL's decision, not ours.

We were happy until receiving the final invoice. We paid $19.95 for the DAY (7am to 5pm), $10 insurance coverage, and prepaid 30 miles. Great deal, and the young lady checking us out was even able to extend our hours from a noon return to a 5pm return as it was 'wide open' and our move in time was changed on us (originally it was any time, then it became noon when we were originally supposed to have the van back). We settled on 5pm but could have just as easily settled on 6pm as no one was looking for the van. Upon return we were admittedly exactly 1 hour late (Friday college move in day in Boston). As a result, we were charged $39.95 for the 1 hour and another $10 for insurance coverage for the DAY ... that was all of 1 hour (I would have kept the van for another 24 hours had I known I had just paid for it). This was not explained at checkout, nor were we forewarned when we picked up the van. I fully expected to pay for an additional 50 miles (50*.69 = $34.50), but as told the new amount was $68.47. When I questioned the person checking us in in the parking lot outside the office as to why the total was so high given we had already paid for the full cost and 30 miles, he indicated it was the total for all 80 miles, and that it would net out what we already paid. When I called the office today, the young lady was very knowledgeable but made it clear in no uncertain terms that this was U Haul policy and that you have the right to charge me $39.95 for 1 hour despite the fact that ALL OVER the van it says $19.95 for the DAY. Oh, and charging another $10.00 insurance for good measure. Maybe you do, maybe it's buried in all of that very small print, but it's something that should be clearly communicated up front. You got an extra $49.95 out of me, but you'll be my last choice next time I need to rent a truck or van because of the way it was handled. Ironically, I had a storage location at this facility for 3.5 years / ~$4,000.00.
