I rented a Uhaul today and drive a total of 5 miles. When I rented the vehicle I was asked to sign the agreement prior to ever seeing the vehicle and the agreement said that the vehicle was 7/8 full. When I reached the vehicle I noted that the vehicle was actually slightly below 7/8 and commented the same to the attendant who remarked "well it's closest to 7/8ths." I then used the car a total of 5 miles and then put 5 dollars of gas (1.5 gallons) into the car which was in fact more than what I had driven. Upon returning the vehicle I then noted to the attendant that I had put 5 dollars of gas into the vehicle and that it was still slightly under 7/8ths, which was where it was when I had rented it. I now see that the attendant had placed the has tank at 6/8ths which IS IN FACT NOT where the tank was registering, and that I have been charged a refilling fee which is completely unjustified. Please check the records and you will see that I in fact only drove 5 miles. The gas I put in would more than suffice to cover that distance. I feel that I have been deceived by Uhaul and by this attendant. I would like the invoice to be rectified and a refund given to my card for the gasoline.

my only problem was getting the truck with 5/8 ish gas tank level. why would you not just fill it every time which would make it much easier when turning it in. picked up full, returned full. duh!

This was my second time renting from UHaul Uptown. Once again they came through with everything promised. Everyone there, checking in, reviewing the van, checking out was polite and friendly and helpful. I have rented at a number of Uhaul locations and this one is the very best- by far!

Lady was nice when i arrived and helped me get checked in quickly. Problem was she spoke too quick from having said the same words far too many time. so robotic and quick. I had to keep asking her to repeat. Also when I arrived to return the equipment (during hours) I stopped at the stop sign that says to wait, I waited ten minutes before I just went inside where they told me they would look at it later and send me a receipt, which is not what the sign said was going to happen, so I was a little confused.

When a customer orders online for specific pick up and drop off locations you should honor that. Frustrating, moving stinks and the last thing you need is a company you paid for their services to add more stress!!!!

Very surprised and irritated by the fact that a) unlimited miles don’t appear to be available anymore and more so b) I was never asked about a return time but was charged apparently an extra $40 for returning an hour later than they expected. Not to mention the lot was FULL including other vans so they were not in need of this van.

The clerk was irritable when I returned the vehicle. After I parked, he told me that it was ok to park in this spot, but he colored it with a tinge of irritability as if I should have known better to park it in another space!

I received an email, a phone call and a text message confirming that my truck was ready for pickup anytime on 11/27/2018. When I arrived, not only was the truck NOT clean, cleared of snow and ready, but nobody could locate keys for the vehicle. Office staff was indifferent and unapologetic throughout my 45 minute wait for some resolution. Meanwhile, my movers showed up and were kept waiting (at my expense) while UHaul staff did nothing to help me. Location manager called into the office and spoke to me on the phone. He apologized for the delays and inconveniences and said he would cover any added mover hours caused by the truck not being ready. He sent me to a location on the other side of town to pick up a much larger truck than I reserved and needed. This required an unexpected $20 Uber ride to the unexpected location. I finally got back to my place 90 minutes after my movers start time. So, before I ever opened the truck cabin, I was already out an extra $20 Uber ride and $115 to pay movers who had no truck. It gets worse: the much larger truck got terrible gas mileage for my cross-country move, adding insult to injury. I have tried contacting the manager several times since arriving in Los Angeles on 12/1, to obtain the promised reimbursement, but I have yet to receive any response or recognition. My return experience was also messed up because the reservation was never updated with my new truck number, mileage or gas levels. The original truck was still listed on my file at the time of truck return in Los Angeles. What a disaster! In good conscience, I cannot recommend this location.

Having an extra staff member checking out customers would've been very helpful. It was a busy Saturday morning and there was only one gentleman inside working with customers to get their orders squared away. Other than that, my experience at this location was very pleasant.
