Incredibly tight maneuvering that would be a significant challenge to anyone not experienced in driving larger vehicles. There is very little space to drive any vehicle here.
The equipment we needed was ready & waiting. The gentleman helped hook it up & confirm all lights were working. Everything was easy & efficient.

The place was a mess they still asked for my drivers license number and other information I have provided earlier when I made my reservation. The parking lot was full of mud holes and broken up asphalt.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any rental company. I reserved and prepaid for a 26' box truck and was given confirmation that that box truck would be at the location the next morning. When I called to confirm the unhelpful employee told me all he could give me was a 10' truck... this was after I received confirmation of my 26' truck at this location. I finally got through to customer service and they "found" an available 26' truck 1.5 hours away. I was give confirmation that when I showed up the next morning that truck would be available for mobile pickup... I showed up at 7am the next morning. No one was present. I waited on the phone with customer service until 8:15am. I was then told the 26' truck is not available for mobile pickup (This is after confirmation and driving 3hrs round trip). I was given a 20' truck (no refund, apology, or cost change) and sent on my way by 8:30am. I had movers sitting at my house for over 1.5 hours (which is labor that I had to pay for) because I was supposed to pick up my 26' box truck at 7:00am. I was only able to move a portion of my belongings due to this failure on UHaul's part. I will have to travel back across the state in order to move the rest of my belongings. To say I am frustrated and quite frankly shocked by this poor and unprofessional service would be an understatement. UHaul has failed to recognize and fix the problem they have been created.

Great customer assistance
The ratchet on the auto transport trailer I rented was extremely rusty. It hadnt been oiled at all and was hard to work with. Safety chains were not properly secured. And tire was visibly in poor condition when rented and David said â€œ it's fine, just needs some air â€œ and 300 miles later the tire blew.
Over charged, declined insurance charged me anyway. Rent fee twice smh. Both stores on airline were slow in customer service due to computer system failure. Hiring movers would have been the same! Never again uhaul
Please get smaller key chain for key. Leg hit big device while driving n truck shut off while driving thru mountains. Was not good for me n my baby riding with me. Otherwise all was good.
The ball connector device could be improved so that you are 100 percent confident that the ball and tongue are locked into place.

thankfully uHaul transportation corrected the revision made to pickup location as reservation was made 30 days in advance and pickup location changed two days before to most difficult pick up location for our time schedule, but transporation (DAVID) figured out a revision again and all was well!!!!
I requested 48 pads and unfortunately did not inventory to confirm number on pickup. I just acknowledged the piles in the back of the truck. Only when I turned in the truck in Warrenton, VA, did I notice that there only 31 pads issued. Hence, I had to pay for 17 pads.
Location did not have moving blankets or dolley as ordered. Had to personally go to another location to get supplies.
Make sure all rental equipment is in one location for the customer to pick up

My complaint is with U-Haul in itself and not the particular dealership. I ordered a 20' Truck and auto transport 2 weeks in advance of my move. Location desired was the U-Haul service center on Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, Va. I was informed that the truck was at Smiths Furniture & More location in Chesapeake. The truck was not there !!! Now I have men that I'm paying twiddling there thumbs because of no truck. I was directed to Nobles Automotive to pick up a 26' truck and return back to Smiths Furniture to pick up the auto transport. Now I'm a 1 1/2 hrs behind in getting my truck loaded. I believe U-Haul should compensate me for the time I had to pay men to load a truck when no truck was available.
