This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any rental company. I reserved and prepaid for a 26' box truck and was given confirmation that that box truck would be at the location the next morning. When I called to confirm the unhelpful employee told me all he could give me was a 10' truck... this was after I received confirmation of my 26' truck at this location. I finally got through to customer service and they "found" an available 26' truck 1.5 hours away. I was give confirmation that when I showed up the next morning that truck would be available for mobile pickup... I showed up at 7am the next morning. No one was present. I waited on the phone with customer service until 8:15am. I was then told the 26' truck is not available for mobile pickup (This is after confirmation and driving 3hrs round trip). I was given a 20' truck (no refund, apology, or cost change) and sent on my way by 8:30am. I had movers sitting at my house for over 1.5 hours (which is labor that I had to pay for) because I was supposed to pick up my 26' box truck at 7:00am. I was only able to move a portion of my belongings due to this failure on UHaul's part. I will have to travel back across the state in order to move the rest of my belongings. To say I am frustrated and quite frankly shocked by this poor and unprofessional service would be an understatement. UHaul has failed to recognize and fix the problem they have been created.

The ratchet on the auto transport trailer I rented was extremely rusty. It hadnt been oiled at all and was hard to work with. Safety chains were not properly secured. And tire was visibly in poor condition when rented and David said “ it’s fine, just needs some air “ and 300 miles later the tire blew.

Over charged, declined insurance charged me anyway. Rent fee twice smh. Both stores on airline were slow in customer service due to computer system failure. Hiring movers would have been the same! Never again uhaul

Please get smaller key chain for key. Leg hit big device while driving n truck shut off while driving thru mountains. Was not good for me n my baby riding with me. Otherwise all was good.

thankfully uHaul transportation corrected the revision made to pickup location as reservation was made 30 days in advance and pickup location changed two days before to most difficult pick up location for our time schedule, but transporation (DAVID) figured out a revision again and all was well!!!!

I requested 48 pads and unfortunately did not inventory to confirm number on pickup. I just acknowledged the piles in the back of the truck. Only when I turned in the truck in Warrenton, VA, did I notice that there only 31 pads issued. Hence, I had to pay for 17 pads.

My complaint is with U-Haul in itself and not the particular dealership. I ordered a 20' Truck and auto transport 2 weeks in advance of my move. Location desired was the U-Haul service center on Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, Va. I was informed that the truck was at Smiths Furniture & More location in Chesapeake. The truck was not there !!! Now I have men that I'm paying twiddling there thumbs because of no truck. I was directed to Nobles Automotive to pick up a 26' truck and return back to Smiths Furniture to pick up the auto transport. Now I'm a 1 1/2 hrs behind in getting my truck loaded. I believe U-Haul should compensate me for the time I had to pay men to load a truck when no truck was available.

It wasn't fault of this location, but UHaul didn't have truck and auto transport available at same location for one way rental. Location was closed when I returned to load vehicle.

I have rented from UHaul every year for the past three years about this time to support my move. I rented to move from Chicago to Tampa, Tampa to Cooper City, FL, and recently from Cooper City, FL to Davie, FL. The UHaul truck I rented recently was very dirty, and was infested with ants. I could barely see out of the front windshield at night it was so dirty, the truck smelled due to the bench seat being so old and dirty, and I had ants crawling all over me. There was no attendent available to complain to when I returned the truck at 4pm, and I was some distance away from the pick-up point before noticing the ants. Had I not been on a time constraint I would have returned the truck to secure a new one.

Give the customer a short training on the use of the truck. I drove it all the time with the TOW enabled and wondered why the truck was so slow and noisy.

Just for one day moving I tought was a good deal to rent with haul anyways I drop off the rental late like 1 and half hour later and they charge me 50.00 because other customer has a reservation. I was planing to get them for the other half of my house stuff that I have to move to other state they charge like $1,200 plus my business but no way after that penalty the next time I go with others that does not penalize you for late drop off. I was so upset they like always only say the good things they never say anything that you can be cautious with it. They loose a client with high potential of moving for this year and the next year too.

It was not clear when i made the rsvp online that the 19.95 12' truck had an additional $.99 per mile fee. When i get the vehicle, it was not a 12' truck but a 1993 170kmi 10' truck. Rep told me the newer 12' trucks (available) were reserved for one-way. I use u-haul rentals on a regular basis, this time it was very bad. Truck had a bad physical and performing condition. I over paid for a crappy local move. Hope you can improve the fleet.
