Check in person very helpful.
u haul web site is cumbersome and time consuming; web site quit twice and little help from pick-up location where lawn mower and busy street were next to service window. It took over one hour to pick up the truck, time which should be available for moving. Your new web-based approach is terrible customer service. Web site works particularly poorly and often will not open with Safari.

The first time experience with self check in was frustrating. The one line chat person for customer service for the online check-in was poor. Luckily a representative of this location was on site and was extremely helpful. I believe he said his name was either MARK or Mike Hammond.
We drove 65 miles. Before to drop off the truck we filled the tank with gas. It turned out 9 gallons! For 65 miles. That's not right.
I absolutely like the online rental process, and the manager was very nice professional and helpful to me. I would highly recommend this location. Thanks for your service.
I would make the no contact check in less time consuming and the phone verification part is the most difficult part people aren't always available to answer the phone and then to have to wait for a answer is very very time consuming . I was on site at 10:45 for a 11:00 check in and didn't get checked in until 11:30 this was entirely too time consuming. I should have just selected the regular check in option.
It was very difficult to get the u-haul after arriving at the facility. The process was very lengthy and had many hiccups. There was no one on site and the website was clunky. I could not get the location setting to work on my phone, so I had to use a friend. There was no mention of needing a second form of ID, and information like this as well as a photo of my ID should have been asked when I first started the reservation. The customer care representative took her time doing the paperwork on her end, and did not provide any updates. The first secondary contact was rejected, and we were never told. In the end, it took about 45 min to get the u-haul, which made me late to my next appointment. The u-haul also did not have a full tank of gas, which was hard to measure when refilling it. I would not recommend anyone going to this location after hours. There should really be someone on site on Saturdays when most people are in need of a u-haul.
The gentleman in charge of the location was very helpful. He had great patience in guiding me through the arduous online check in procedure. He should be a teacher. Very well done.
It would have been really helpful if I could have extended my rental another day. I called and asked about extending the rental and I was informed that it was not available. If it had been available for another day it would have helped me a lot. There was also a $20 change that I don't know what it was for. I'm sure that if I had read all of the fine print it would have mentioned it, but I find that to be a little bit deceptive when you advertise rentals for $19.99 but it actually costs more than twice that. I wish you would just be honest and upfront about the cost.
I was having some difficulty with my UHaul app to sign my vehicle out. The attendant, Faith, was more than helpful. She went out of her way to ensure that I had everything in order. I also needed her help later in the day, and she came through in a stellar fashion. I have always found this UHaul facility good, but Faith made it stellar.

The location is great and the guy who worked there was extremely helpful. However, I checked in and picked up the truck via the U-Haul app, and the wait time was a bit long (~10 mins waiting for approval). I think it's fine if I could know the approximate wait time in advance, but without knowing, I was wondering if something was wrong while I stared at my â€œwaiting for approvalâ€ screen for 10 mins.
The app is NOT easy to use.
My issues were not with this location, it is with U-Haul. My initial reservation was cancelled and the second one was difficult to activate. Very frustrating experience.

Clerk struggled with completing my transaction and getting me out of there. Also very awkward figuring out what to do since nobody was at the desk and the building was closed
I had some trouble with the vehicle assignment on line and when I dropped off the truck the return app failed on my phone.
The team there was very helpful and friendly. Everything was ready and waiting to go.
The checking in was confusing online. It took half an hour. Once we got the keys everything went well.
The people here are great, and the truck was clean and fueled and ready to go. Locally speaking, no complaints--the place is well-run and well-staffed. What made this a miserable experience was Uhaul's central processing. I stood/squatted outside for 30+ minutes in the sun waiting for someone somewhere to clear me to go. People were waiting at my apartment to help load up, but the online process was agonizingly slow. We did everything right--I did the online check-in beforehand, had all my documents ready, and my spouse was ready to answer the phone immediately when Uhaul called to confirm that I'm a real person or whatever. Uhaul was just way behind and took way longer than what's acceptable, considering it costs $700+ for this with insurance and all.
