These ratings only ask about locations, not about the uhaul customer service experience as a whole. My recent experience was very poor and left me extremely frustrated with uhaul. Not only was my reservation bumped the day before my pick up, when I went to the second location (13 miles from the original), there was no equipment there and the people noticed my reservation had been double booked. I had to drive an additional 45 miles out of my way to pick up a truck. Out of â€œcourtesyâ€ they gave me a larger truck with a discount, however by the time the additional fees were added, I ended up paying more than my original. Then when I requested a later drop off time free of charge for the aggravation, I was told no. I spoke with some manager who identified herself as the highest level person I could speak with and she â€œcouldn't help meâ€. But she did say there was an hour grace period. That was a lie. I was charged an extra day for a 20 minute delay past my 1:00 drop off time. I relocated from Virginia to Maryland and drove through horrible traffic to get here, encountering time delays. They knew ahead of time I was requesting a later drop off but decided not to extend customer service. What do reservations matter if customers are going to lose their bookings, have to drive nearly an hour out of the way to pick up equipment, then get charged a full extra day when the customer has already requested an extension? Oh and to boot, the size truck, being larger than I requested, led to my items shifting out of place and falling. And I was still charged more for it. This company does not follow good customer service practices and I will carry my stuff on my back and walk before renting from uhaul again. You've lost a customer and I'm going to tell everyone I know about my experience.Joyceta C.

Mark was great and the 15' truck worked out perfect. The only thing that caught me off guard was the 10% tax Virginia charges for renting a moving truck which was applied at pickup, so it would be nice to know ahead of time.James N.
The U-Haul application need to be stronger, and tell teh renter to wait at times. In the obtaining and the returning, the application started over at the beginning after I had entered almost everything, probably because I was supposed to wait but did not know that. Truck was old and steering was wandering. Truck was great in every other way.Charles H.

I think you guys should ALWAYS provide a lock to lock up the trucks that you rent. If someone doesn't return the lock, then they should pay for it, with a penalty attached.Elizabeth S.

The U-Haul App didn't recognize me at this location which made it frustrating to quickly check-in and return. I needed to call customer service to unlock the lockbox. I like the mobile check-in and return idea but I've never had a successful experience with the mobile App. It was a little scary to have it still not working when I returned the truck at night, I tried the App several time and eventually dropped the key in door slot.Sandra Lisa H.

Everything was great. The U-haul employee were really friendly and willing to help. That impressed me is that when I returned back at ~7:30pm (while the location is working until 5:00pm) , there still was a person who took my key and sent me a receipt. I really appreciate his hard work. Location is also very convenient, there are many places for parking and easy to access from US-29. The truck I got was in good conditions and clean.
