The drop off process was confusing as there were no signs labeling anything and the staff was extremely unhelpful. I’ll be looking at other moving options in the future as I was left waiting for a receipt and someone claiming that the truck was lost for nearly an entire day. Poor customer experience.

The person set the rental up incorrectly. When I booked the truck, I confirmed that it would be a before hours pick up and I’d have to check in on my phone. She called me the day before and told me she’d send me the link to check in and there would be a video in case I needed help. I got there 15 mins early in the morning. I clicked on the link and it took me to express checkin, which is different than then 24/7 truck share that allows you to check it out by yourself. I completed the prompts and was given a page to show to someone so they’d give me the truck. It didn’t have the code to check the truck out myself. We tried everything to find the code. Then we see an employee moving the trucking. We ask him for help, but he works for the other business, not the U-Haul, so he can’t give us the key, contact the manager, or tell us what to do. (I don’t blame him, his boss should have given him more authority to help with those issues). We spent 45 mins on hold with U-Haul customer service. They told us it was set up incorrectly on the back end and changed it for us. All in all we got the truck more than a hour late, and spent that time wasting gas (it was cold and there was no where to go inside) and cell data trying to figure this out. We also had movers scheduled, so we barely made it on time. Then, all the furniture pads in side the truck were wet. Not just damp. Wet. Super disappointed. We’ve never had a problem with any other U-Haul locations, but this one was awful and the U-Haul customer service was awfully slow. We passed the owner as we were returning the keys, but didn’t know it was her. She made a rude comment about where we parked the truck, even though it’s where we picked it up from. It didn’t realize she worked at the U-Haul office until I saw her go into the back. She was very unfriendly and unwelcoming so I didn’t bother following her to talk with her about what went wrong. Will call later.

I was not able to use the Share 24/7 program, I never had the option, “Pick up my truck”. I had to call for assistance and after 45 minutes got the truck.

Computer down. Took 1 hour to get serviced. Employee was very friendly and apologetic for delay. I was supposed to pick up the truck at a different location but contract picked up by Joshs Used Tires. No one told me. I saw it on a new confirmation sent me. Not a good way to do business.

Would not give me my cash deposit back because they dont keep cash but wanted me to pay them for the extra miles cash or credit woman was nice but didnt care basically told me to call the 1800 number

Tristan was wonderful to deal with. I had delays closing on my house, which resulted in having the truck longer than expected. They were very accommodating and made the overall rental experience very pleasant.

The locations was hard to find and very frustrating trying to figure out where to leave the key. I was not able to get through anybody the next day. I was over charged for the gas. I feel I got "gypped"

My issue is with your customer service department not with the two different locations where the trailer was returned on 8/30 and the truck on 8/31. Have never ever seen such a lack of coordination in my life. Never! If we ever have to rent a truck again, it will not be a U-Haul. Call AMEX & see what real customer service is like.

My overall experience with U-Haul was unrelievedly terrible this time around. I received an email from U-haul on Thursday informing me that my truck was reserved at Storage Max in Round Rock, TX for pick up late Saturday. However, when I arrived to pick up my truck at Storage Max they were closed. I called their number twice and left a message yet no one returned my call. I then called U-Haul reservations, and spoke to Michelle. Se found a truck for me about 30 minutes away from where I was. I had to drive all the way across town to get a truck at the last minute at Josh's Used Tires and Wheels. The staff at Josh's Used Tires were great, and I have no complaints with them at all. The reason I put N/A on the cleanliness question above was due to the fact that the one truck that they had just been received, and I took the truck as is because I needed to get home to start moving, and they were scheduled to close. Also, Michelle in reservations took care of me, and was able to find that 20' truck at the last minute. I appreciate the service Michelle provided, and her efforts to get me in a truck because I was in desperate need once Storage Max let me down. . However, in the future if U-Haul sends out an email stating that a pick up location will have your truck available, that truck should be available, or arrangements should have been made for me. I even selected 24/7 ride share with Mobile pick-up, but to no avail. The truck should have been available. I came within 10 minutes of not having a truck after I was scheduled and confirmed to have one. This would have been very costly for me as I only had the weekend to make my move. Thanks again to Josh's and Michelle for helping fend off a disaster for me.

I’ve already called about this, first it was supposed to be .79 cents a mile. I got charged.99. The uhaul sign was so small we didn’t even know we were at the right place. The truck drove horribly, we didn’t feel comfortable going faster than 30mph down the highway. Honestly I can’t believe this place is up to uhauls standards. I need to rent another one to finish my move on the first, but I’m not sure I will go with uhaul after that experience. The extra time it to driving from one spot to another was crazy. We didn’t get home till 2am.
