Just seeing Jennifer is worth the cost of the rental
The folks there were very friendly and helpful. They loaded the vehicle onto the carrier and strapped it in place. They deserve a trophy, plaque or something for their good work.
They should not laugh and be rude to a customer that does not want to enter the building due to COVID-19. The paper could have been signed outside.
As a tech guy working in the software development field, I was very impressed by the ease of use and simplicity of the process to rent, acquire, and return the truck. The only issue was not knowing from directions during the acquisition step was, where the the actual lockbox was located at this location. Luckily someone was around to kindly instruct me where it was. I think an improvement could be made to allow for more explicit and customized instructions based on the unique location. The instructions only said to get the key from the lockbox, but not where the lockbox was located in relation to this particular location. I would have never found it if someone didn't see me wandering around. It was a tad hidden. Otherwise, the staff member at this location was incredibly helpful, both telling where the lockbox was, and when I called to tell them I would be a few minutes later than my scheduled return time. Thank you for making it easy!
I only had this for 3 hours. Made one local trip. And was charged 89.00 dollars. Ridiculous.

on line reservations were a waste of time. when selecting the original location, when confirming was sent to a location about 16 miles farther from my home (nearly 50mi away). when trying to call customer service, i was on hold for over 40min only to have the phone ring about 17 times, then disconnected. Ultimately, the CS rep was able to find the desired equipment 11 miles, which is a better drive to get and return the equipment. on line confirmation was supposed to be a 'remote' checkin experience, but still had to go into the store, hand over my DL etc. as stated, the on line portion of this transaction was a waste of over 2 hours of my time. ordered packing supplies, and that was not ready to go (had to go to northfield anyway to get it) there was only one rep inside and stood nearly 20min inside waiting for a prepaid item. best score i can offer is D+ or one star.
When I made the reservation by phone, I was told by an employee at this location we could have the van back at 8 pm and charged for only one day. When we went to pick the van up, the owners were not pleasant about this, but eventually agreed (or so we thought). They must have just said that to get us out of their store because we were charged for two days anyways! We will NEVER go there again.

Your dispatch system has much room for improvement. Always changing your pickup location at last minute. You also book return time too close for ample time to accomplish task. Your phone number doesn't reach physical contact directly always sending back to dispatch who is clueless to situations. As much as I would have loved to give you a good review- my future plans are to rent from your competitors
Great customer service
I would say the equipment could be cleaner given the times we live in--I cleaned after I got it, but you could clean all the hair off the seats and wipe down with Lysol so it feels safer/cleaner. Otherwise you did a great job and Sue was very helpful in costing it out!

I'm not sure I can offer a solution to the problem, but perhaps I can just offer some insight. When picking up my Uhaul using the mobile pickup, it took nearly 20 minutes to complete. I had expected 5-10 minutes. A majority was waiting on the approval process, and even trying to chat with someone took several minutes to get responses. My frustration was compounded by the fact that this system is made to use after business hours, which also means it's darker and no one is around to help. Also, with pick up and drop off, there are location/camera settings that have to be enabled for the browser. So there was some additional agitation with trying to enable these things because apparently on an iPhone, there are settings in two different menu locations on the phone itself that are not on by default (nor do I want them on for everyday use). After enabling in one settings menu, it still didn't work and I had to search location services in order to find a secondary setting to change. So at first I thought it just plain didn't work. Perhaps it would be worth looking into different technology, such as that used by BoxLock where information could be transferred and scanned via bluetooth or something.
The people at Burton floral were great, but the booking and billing system had numerous problems that she had to call the Uhaul rep at least 3 times to get the booking correct in the system.
Check in took too long. I used the app, was not able to check in until I was within a mile, and then Haul had to call a contact to confirm ...?? Customer service at location did not seem to be in any hurry to help.

I would think that all equipment should be serviced, if needed, before rental. My cargo van said "oul change needed" from the start.
