Excellent service. Staff is very courteous, very friendly, very knowledgeable and explain everything clearly. The van I rented was very cleaned and maintained. The store also is very clean. Will definitely recommend this location and will return again for any future moves!

The pickup went great, mainly because I only dealt with the storage company and not U-Haul, Chris at Burnaby south storage, I’d marry you, the lady in the traffic department of U-Haul, you made me want to end my literal life. Let me set the scene okay, I book my 10’ truck on April 28th to pick up in Burnaby and drop off in Langley. I get a call on May 30 saying “oop can’t do that lol and also you have to pick it up an hour later” whatever I understand it happens. But then I get to thinking, “hmmm they want me to drive the truck back and be charged for the extra kilometres on the way back, I’m not paying for that. That’s not even what I wanted” so call her back, she wouldn’t let me talk to a supervisor, and she denied my request at a partial reimbursement for the inconvenience, all she kept saying was there was nothing she could do (crazy bc your supervisor probably could but you won’t let me talk to them) anyway I end up calling the 1-800 number to file a complaint and I get told I can’t, and I have to ask for a discount at pickup. So I’m like okay whatever I need to live on the 1st, so I show up to the pickup location I didn’t even want, at a time that I BENT OVER BACKWARDS to make work and am told “sorry the truck isn’t here” now I’ve started crying because what else could go wrong, so I call up that lady from the traffic department AGAIN. And she says “yea it looks like the customer hasn’t dropped it off” yea obviously or I wouldn’t be calling you right now. So I get told “well you could wait or I could find you ANOTHER location that has a truck but it’s not the one you reserved it’s a caravan” okay fine send me on another goose chase sure. I ask to speak to a supervisor again, somehow on May 1st there’s also not a supervisor there. Crazy. She changes my location I have to drive another 15 minutes to pick up a van I didn’t even want in the first place and when I ask her again to get a partial refund she says she can’t do that. So let me get this straight, you changed my reservation without giving me any options, told me theres nothing you can do and what I booked basically doesn’t exist, then when I ask for a PARTIAL refund because this is causing a lot of stress you say no, so I bite my tongue and pick up at a different location and time and accept I’ll just be charged extra kilometers, and when I get there it’s not. Even. Freaking. There. AND now I have to pick up a different truck that I didnt even think would fit my stuff (thankfully my man is smart and made it work) And yet “there’s nothing we can do” my beef is with that lady and that lady only because then I get home at 6 PM on my moving day from picking up this damn caravan and I call corporate because this is just RIDICULOUS I’ve cried 6 times out of frustration on an already stressful day. Thankfully I get through to TJ at corporate and he was wonderful, I told him on the phone exactly what had happened and he was able to issue me a partial reimbursement. THANK YOU TJ AND THANK YOU CHRIS. And to add to all of this, I also work in customer service, I know how frustrating it is to be yelled at over the phone, I was nice and polite during this entire situation to EVERYONE, and I was treated like a shit on the side of the road by the traffic department (idk if that’s what it is but that’s what one guy said on the phone) anyway, the only reason my time with this company was actually good was because I got to meet my boy Chris who is just such a sweetheart and because of TJ who was very understanding and lovely on the phone (I was bawling my eyes out the entire call) Anyway, I will most likely not be using U-Haul ever again, I’d rather pull my belongings by a piece of floss down the highway then deal with that lady ever again.
