It is always frustrating how out of touch the call center or website is with the inventory, time zone, or personnel of my local UHaul. If I'm trying to coordinate last minute pick up times with the store and I try to call them back at the number they provided, my call is shuttled to corporate and they don't know what's going on. Moreover, in all the years I've rented from the Brookline Uhual and reserved a furniture dolly in my online order they have never ever had one - ever. So the item must be deleted from my bill. NBD, but if I knew I couldn't rent it due to inventory I would at least be able to make other plans ahead of time instead of hurting my back to move with no dolly so things can be more convenient for UHaul Inc.
Emily at this location was AMAZING!!! However, I wanted to let someone know that before my rental I called the Lowell, Ma location (near my new residence) to ask if it would be okay to return the van there. I was told yes, but I was given the wrong information unfortunately. This mishap caused problems with my move date as I had to utilize more mileage than I anticipated, and was a big inconvenience. Thankfully Emily was able to assist me and she went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Thank You!

Charge 0.50/mi instead of 1.09 . $1/mi is kind of crazy since it doesn't even include gas. Clerk was very nice though.
i find it ridiculous that i reserved a furniture dolly and they gave me a utility dolly instead since they were out of stock. what's the point of making the reservation for the equipment if you can't supply it? but suspiciously they could sell me furniture dolly. what kind of bait and switch is this?
I dropped my 4x8 off at thie location. She said she will email me a receipt but she did not.
The truck is old, which in itself isn't bad, but the headlights made it almost impossible to see the road when it was snowing out, combined with subpar windshield wipers, and well it wasn't fun driving an hour in the snow. The vehicle itself was dirty, a nice vacuum and checking to see what items the last customer left behind isn't a bad idea. However, the person working who checked the vehicle out to me was extremely pleasant and I watched her expertly and professionally deal with a "karen" of a customer ahead of me.
I reserved my truck weeks in advance. I ordered two dozen furniture pads for rental. When I arrived first thing in the morning to pick up the truck they had zero, instead forcing me to purchase furniture pads. I also had ordered two furniture dolly and the store had only one. What is the point of ordering weeks in advance and specifying your needs just to have the store clerk tell you they don't have what you need to do your move the right way? Poor performance uhaul.

I was given a van with broken side mirror. The van was very old and there were many new vans parked but the agent refused to change the van. He said all other vans are already rented. This was weired that I was there already and he refused to gave me the clean van. The agent was rude and highly non cooperative.
The agent was very friendly and accomodating.
Reserved on comm ave, which was preferred. This has happened twice. If you accept a reservation you should drive the truck to the preferred location. Also you double booked my van. I was lucky I got there first.
The web site is buggy and keeps putting in types of boxes that I don't need (it has a real love of wardrobe boxes in particular) and tried to remove from the order, so I have to keep getting the agents to fix this. Also, make sure the mirrors are properly adjustable on all of the vehicles. I rented here 2 times shortly before Thanksgiving 2020, and the first 10' truck had mirrors properly adjustable (the agent actually did this), but the second 10' truck had mirrors only adjustable vertically, not horizontally.
I was supposed to get 36 furniture pads, but there were only 2 pads available. If I had been told in advance, I could have tried to find replacements, but instead I had to go without. He also told me I could have those 2 pads, and then when I got back to my home, I realized they were not in the truck.
All OK. Staff were great ! No complaints.
James Hintz was a pleasure to work with. I had made the reservation on the same day, and was very pleasantly surprised to find out that I could get a 15 foot truck and the total cost was less than $100. I was able to help a friend move when all her friends bailed on her. James was very nice to deal with and despite being the only worker in the office with a long line of people waiting to be helped, he maintained his cool and was very pleasant to everyone. Overall a very nice experience. Thank you James and Uhaul!

I was charged for a missing dolly, even though I was never given a dolly. The staff member who showed me to my truck was disorganized and impatient in explaining the process to me, and nearly assigned me to the wrong truck. I would not recommend this service to a friend.
By far, MY BEST experience with a uhaul location. The 2 twins working are super friendly, professional and caring. The guy i dropped truck back to gave me restaurant recommendations and was amazing. Kudos to this location, well done.
