I rented a cargo van from this location and was serviced by Emily who basically ignored me until I asked for help. When I returned the vehicle, she basically said â€œokâ€ and motioned for me to leave, when I asked her to check the vehicle with me. Only then did she come out and see the car. She took a look around and asked if we hit anything, which we didn't. She poked at some places that had been previously dented and had stickers indicating so. She then said we were good to go and we would be sent a bill in the email. I receive a phone call 15 mins later stating that there were dents on the bumper that were not there last night, stating that we hit something. I said yes there are dents but there are stickers indicating old damage. She kept saying no and that she would charge me $150. Keep in mind, this is all after she let us go and said we were â€œgoodâ€. Never once did she show us evidence of her claims. For all I know, she could have made up the entire thing. She provided only subjective one sides evidence and charged us. How is this allowed? I will never rent from this uhaul again or recommend them to anyone I know.Daniel W.

While the truck itself and the location were great, I had a lot of trouble trying to finish my reservation online using the "pick it up yourself" feature. It took me a couple of hours to complete the online work necessary before going to the location and I was completely unable to use the uhaul app for Android as it never found my rental - and at several steps along the way I would click continue but it looked like nothing happened or I got error messages (at one point I was told the entire uhaul website was down for planned maintenance). However, once I got to the location, picking up and dropping off the vehicle was very straight forward and easy. The staff at the location were very friendly and helpful.Andrew M.

When I received the key and went out to the lot, I could not find the van that was given to me. I went inside and asked the associate for assistance but he told me to go back and look. He said that the vehicle number is on its bumper. There was only one van without a number on a bumper - the number was scratched off and there were numerous stickers in various places on the vehicle. I went inside again and ask if that was the van and also verified that the sticker were used to mark old damage, which the associate confirmed. I inspected the van and did not see any visible damage other than what had stickers. When I received the invoice over email, I noticed that the insurance was added although I specifically declined it. I called and informed the associate and she assured me that it will be taken off. Upon returning the vehicle I specifically waited for the associate to inspect the van in my presence and accept it. I also reminded her that the insurance was supposed to be deducted. She asked me about the key, checked that the tank was full off gas, told me that I was good to go and the receipt will be mailed to me. About an hour later I received a phone call and she told me that there was new damage on a cargo door. Therefore, she recommends that I keep the insurance coverage to minimize my out-of-pocket expenses. I explained to her that there was no damage done to the vehicle on my watch. The cargo door was not even used. The vehicle was parked in my spot on private parking with passenger cars next to me. Given that the van is higher than any passenger vehicle and has a steel bar at the bottom (a step), it would be absolutely impossible for a car next to it to hit the van's cargo door. It would hit the steel bar first. Needless to say that even if I would use the cargo door and hit something with it, which I did not, it could not have been in three different places. it would be simply impossible. The associate was still insisting that there was new damage. I told her that I will come back to inspect the vehicle. When I arrived and looked at the van, there was absolutely no visible damage to its cargo door. Apparently, she conveniently placed three new stickers on the door after I said that I am coming back but there was no damage there. I asked the associate to show me the damage but she simply said that there was. I made a video of the entire vehicle which clearly shows all of the old damage that was there before I rented the van and no damage where the associate claimed that there was new damage on the cargo door caused by me. By the way, given the height of the cargo door and the steel bar at the bottom of the vehicle, even if there was any damage, which there was not, definitely not visible to me at the time I took the vehicle and after returning it, it could have been made exclusively by hitting it with the door of the similar vehicle next to it on the Uhaul parking lot. After that, I left and called the Uhaul 800 number and asked to open a customer complaint claim. It is absolutely unacceptable for Uhaul associate to accept a vehicle from me without mentioning and showing me damage, if there was any, and then an hour later calling and claiming that there was damage. The fact that she conveniently put some sticker on the cargo door with no damage, none whatsoever, after I told her that I was coming back to inspect the vehicle, does not the door damaged and me liable.Alexander L.

I spent hours yesterday and today calling and trying to email about getting a bigger truck, and could not Make contact. I ended up having to do 2 runs with this smaller truck over 2 days. Very frustrating and time consuming, but also doubled the cost of my miles. I was told your phones and emails were down, possibly hacked. I'm sorry about the impact on your business but I'd like to request you consider charging me for a larger truck going 1/2 the miles. Anyway. Brookline staff were helpful. Have two people working at a time so there is less of a wait. Hire more phone customer service reps. My receipt was for two dollars more than what the total charges added up to, and when I called to try to find out why, the wait time was going to be 30 minutes so I hung up.Erica M.
