This specific store was unorganized and inconvenient. I showed up on time to pick up my truck and when I opened my lockbox there was no key. So then I proceeded to have to sit on hold, then wait for an area manager to come to the store to cut me a new key. This was a huge inconvenience and I will never be renting a U-Haul from Lakeside Automotive again. However I will say that the U-haul area manager was very helpful and I appreciate him and the good job he did.Josephine B.
I put the key in their UHaul dropbox #1 (along with the receipt for the gas to show I replaced what I used), but somehow they couldn't find the key the next day and blamed me. This was after they called me to verify that I did indeed put the key in the dropbox. I don't know what they did with the key, but for them to charge me a $75 locksmith fee plus an additional $35 for an additional day's rental rental for their mistake is just ridiculous. I took a bunch of pictures of the truck when I returned it to show that I didn't damage it in any way, but I didn't realize I should have taken a picture of me putting the key into the dropbox as well! I'm currently disputing the additional $110 charge on what should have been an under $50 rental.Erik R.
Location did not put in my 24/7 reservation so I was not able to pickup my truck at the reserved time and I had to wait until the next day. When I picked up the truck the next day, none of the employees were wearing masks.Emily G.
The customer service was subpar. I felt like a nuisance rather than a customer. The representative seems preoccupied with other things and not interested in serving my needs. On the other hand, once he gave me his attention, he seemed knowledgeable and was helpful getting the equipment attached to my vehicle. Make sure the code for the boxes to pick up keys is correct. Make sure the key that is in the box is matched up with correct truck that the website says it's assigned to.Jahadi P.

charged me for three days rental, only had it for a day and half, location was dirty, and not well maintained. did not have everything set up and ready when I got there had to go through a big pile of moving blankets and find enough for my needs.kevin F.
The Uhaul website was down (which is frequent) and the manager was unable to use the system. He took down my information and trusted that I would return the van, a swell guy! The previous renter of the van changed the lock code on the box, however the manager was able to "guess" the lock code because the outside lock boxes provided by Uhaul are EASY to trick open if you know how. Luckily for me the guys were able to figure it out! The Uhaul "self check-in" service, in my opinion, has been nothing but trouble. The location I rented from was GREAT, however the Uhaul system itself is NOT good and I could not recommend the service at this time.Benjamin D.

overall the dealer was great, however, the uhaul customer service 800 number is rated a big fat zero. I had reserved a 10 foot truck at this location as shown on the website. Only to be redirected to another dealer 20 miles away by the customer reps. This not only added to my trip time but substantial money due to the additional miles by a customer rep. what a racket, state there is a truck available at one dealer only to send you somewhere else at a greater cost. The one thing that bothered me was the customer care people I talked to just did not give a damn, their attitude was take it or leave it. What has happened to uhaul? maybe has rose above thier customers care and trust.shirley N.

I filled the truck up with gas prior to returning it. and was still charged 22 bucks for fuel. while agree it wasn't full the rental paperwork said it needed to be filled to between 7/8s and full. i filled it stopping a few times to check the gauge even doing my best to insure it was filled properly. i dont think i should have been charged.MICHAEL B.
