Because of the lines I attempted to pick up via the UHaul App. Clerks were anxious that I had not completed the check in process before I even got to the vehicle which was blocked in. Telling me to complete the check in instead of offering to help. The vehicle was not clean- shirt, book, food wrappers, dirt in cargo area, so reported. I watched the clerk get a broom to sweep it out and only when I asked was I told I was getting a different van. It took 20 minutes to check out a van that I drove for 15 minutes to pick up large TV for my home. Communication between clerk and customer very poor and not customer focused.

Everything as great until I got the invoice bill the next day. I was quoted $45 and they charged me $100! They charged me for a dolly and furniture pads that I didn’t request (extra +$20), then they charged me for another day (extra +$30) when I turned in the keys on the same day 5 hours after I picked the truck up. This was very frustrating because I was trying to keep moving cost low, but rather I had to spend 20 mins of my day today trying to get back my money on the phone with support.

I mentioned my issue with the water issues on the truck and was pointed out the water resistant not water proof tag, in spite of turning in 12 water soaked blankets from destroyed mattresses, box springs and furniture. I know you need to protect yourself but really, this was my 24th move with UHaul in 40 years and probably there will not be a 25th. sad

The trailer that I picked up was full of roofing nails. As soon as I dropped the gate I had nails all over my driveway. Even after picking up as many as I could find it would drop more every time I lowered the gate.

Have an on-line service to help with flats, etc. that may happen on a trip. Make this service an optional service at a low price. This could be done through a contracted service with AAA or similar service. Old men cannot fix flats easily and may need help on the roadside. Thanks.

I was scammed on fuel which was not as indicated on contract. Vehicle was not the one originally reserved. Had to travel to different, farther, location to rent because closer more convenient location refused to take debit card though failed to state that when reservation made. The whole experience was horrible.

From the very start, the customer service ladies on the phone were extremely friendly. I had made an error which made me call back. Then, the next customer service assistant was so very friendly and guided me exactly to where I needed to go. Upon picking my truck Gilbert, and the other associate were friendly as well. There was absolutely no hassle, no issues whatsoever, and I was off before I even walked in. On return, the gentlemen asked me a few questions and said, "You are good to go sir. You should receive your receipt by email today.". And I did. Anyhow, during the holiday season Uhaul really pulled through for me (no pun intended). Thanks guys.

It doesn't help the customer service image of the company when you have 2 young men sitting while the woman at the counter is busy waiting on people. They were talking and drinking coffee and she needed to tell them to prepare the truck for me. They did not bother to count the furniture pads to ensure 12 were given to me. I had to go get them from the office to come and help me with explaining the quesitons I had about the truck and help adjust the mirrors. They were not proactive in offering to help the customer.

staff seemed overwhelmed and it wasnt even very busy.. we did not get the dolly we rented and the mileage on the truck we rented was entered wrong, causing us to be charged for 3400 miles when we only drove 60mi.

The floor of the trailer I rented was really filthy, I picked it up in the dark and didn't really notice how bad it was until I unpacked on the other side. Required me to wipe off luggage and furniture before moving it into the house. The availability and functionality of the trailer was reliable and got me from TX to CA without any issue. The staff at this location was great and they have reasonably priced supplies, everything you need in one stop.

It took about 20 minutes to get through the line at the counter since the line was long. It was Sat morning, probably the busiest time of the week for you. Seems like you should have had extra help for the rush. I arrived at 9:00 AM.

The online pick up process needs to be explained better in the early stages. I was already at the location when they asked me for a copy of my lease, passport or other documents. Those are not things I carry around with me. Then asking for a secondary number but not indicating that you’re going to call it right away. I gave my gf’s number who works nights and had just gotten to sleep. No wonder she didn’t answer. It took me an hour and fifteen minutes to pick up my truck
