The returning process was difficult. I even downloaded the app and it wouldn't show my rental information. I had to return it and thankfully I took lots of pics myself then had to stay on the phone for over 20 minutes to get a hold of a person whom was very helpful to email the pictures to make sure I returned everything correctly. I had a uber waiting for me outside of the location so it was costing me money trying to figure out how to return it by myself without the website nor the app working correctly.
What a nightmare! I came in to book a uhaul for early pickup the day before. The rep said all we needed to do was download the app and use the code when we come to pick up the truck. 6am we came to pick up the truck and ended up in a situation where nobody at uhaul customer service would help us. For some reason they wanted us to add a 3rd party phone number, and after submitting a ridiculous amount of info still couldn't get access to the truck. We sat on the phone for hours only to be lied to and hung up on several times. After sitting there for 3 hours, the store opened and offered no explanation for what happened, only an attitude of "that's not out problem, we don't handle pre-open reservations." And after returning the truck, I got an invoice with the wrong name. Needless to say, this level of incompetence is unacceptable. I'll never use uhaul again.
The service was great don't get me wrong. But I didn't like the fact that the uhaul people gave me a 10 foot truck with no gas. No gas at all. Not even fuelled up to the requirements of a 1/4 of a tank. I returned it in Houston and the people there where shock and have been trying to get me something in return to spending over 50$ in gas
Our experience with the rental of a 10 foot in the beginning, Sabrina at the Ben White location at 304 E Ben White Blvd was very pleasant and helpful with loading my boxes bought into the back of "The Truck". However, upon the return of "The Truck" at a different location at the North Interstate Hwy 35 for our convenience (unfortunately we do not own automobiles). It was unpleasant after a two move, and with utmost honesty it was unprofessional also had an unwelcoming vibe at this location.
Great customer service from completing my reservation Inside to staff helping with placing trailer on the hitch.
Clean the truck before releasing it to the next customer. The truck was full of dog hair and some nasty spills made the in-dash cupholder unusable. We would have reported the condition of the truck but were in a hurry to get loading. We chose not to clean up the previous customer's mess and were thankful that we weren't hassled upon returning the truck, so that is a positive. The counter staff at the Austin location were very nice as well, so kudos to them.

All good Taxes suck Not your fault
When reserving, Let's say 12 noon and I the customer Couldn't make it on time or stop what I'm doing to call and let U-Haul know. I work in construction and my job is important it got real busy real quick I couldn't take a lunch break got served with Urgent tasks. Just let the customer know first thing when reserving, if you don't get here by 12noon it's no longer reserved for you anymore. I had to drive to 3 different locations from a city I'm not familiar with, it would of been nice if I would of gotten a text message saying your reservation has expired. I would of been More then happy to call and make another reservation to just drive to the one location and rent what I needed, Time is precious. Thank you for your service !

Apparently UHAUL can't guarantee the reservation of an out of town 26 ft truck. Arriving at the rental place and expecting a 26ft truck only to be told one was unavailable nearly cost us our moving day and hundreds of dollars. The manager at the Ben White location was also extremely rude, unapologetic, and disinterested in our problem. The sales associate, Adrian I believe, was amazing. He was patient and understanding and didn't give up until he found us another 26 ft truck. It was in another town, but we could drive there and get it and he worked with us by allowing us more miles and making it so we could pick up the auto transport from the original location the next day, after our truck was loaded. It just seems like the unpleasantness with the manager could have been avoided if Uhaul had actually called me the day before and said we can't find you a truck, (hopefully adding, â€œwe are working on itâ€) I mean, without the right size truck, your moving plan is destroyed, so it's kind of important. Also, That manager should be replaced. Instead of being sympathetic to our problem, he decided to argue with me on if uhaul had actually contacted me. They hadn't, and I had my phone right there to prove it. Not that I needed it, because I know whether or not I've been contacted or spoken with someone just the day before. I just didn't appreciate his service or attitude.
On the email that contains my Uhaul order there was no time for the drop off, there is a time for the pick up but the drop off has no time leading me to believe I could drop it off anytime. It was a bit misleading but not the fault of anyone who works there because they were all great. But if there was a drop off time in that email I wouldve returned the equipment on time
Very rude I was harassed by employee and both mangers threatened not to let me use equipment after i already set appointment up for pick up. I've been to location 3 times last time was worse experience ever and the manger on duty was extremely rude and threatened me -000000 would never go back I'll take my business somewhere else
My final bill was twice as expected. Quoted: ~60 Paid: ~130 Difference in miles: 30 (i would've expected around 30 additional dollars for the mile difference, not 70)
Hire more people at this location. Everytime I come in I wait at least twenty minutes and everytime I call it's 30+ minutes
