While a van and blankets were not at the original confirmed location (A UHaul online inventory problem vs. employee) and while I was asked to then drive to this second less convenient location, employees at both locations were very nice. I would recommend potential customers call first to truly confirm what is and isn't available prior to driving there. I do give the employees a nice rating.


I reserved a 17' truck and they gave me a 15'.Coudn't move all the stuffs together.

Terrible experience. I would like my money back because the service was terrible. I completed the entire rental process online yet I was asked to redo the entire thing in the office. I thought the idea of doing it online was to avoid COVID risks however this was not the case considering I had to redo the entire process in person.

The trucks in your fleet are very outdated. Too loud , sound system sucks . I was very disappointed. And the location was very much under staffed and there were multiple customers.

The truck I reserved several days prior to pickup was not available, which could have been a huge issue. Luckily, the next smaller truck actually available ended up working out. However, the location's salesperson was very professional, friendly, and easy to deal with, which made the situation easier to work out.

I tried to use your remote service and it was very frustrating and annoying. First, reserving the truck online took hours because your site kept on giving an error message tens of times until it finally took my password (which was OK and was accepted eventually after about 2 hours of attempts). Your site wasn't very clear on when I needed to check in and when I did it onsite at the UHaul parking lot, I was asked to provide additional references which I wasn't told about ahead of time and I couldn't provide on the spot - who travels around with a lease agreement and a passport??? At the last minute, after I already gave up and told your rep to cancel the reservation altogether, the store attendant, who said at first he couldn't help if I already started the online check in process, decided he CAN help and take over the process and managed to finish what needed to be done to get me my truck. The store also did not have any dollies to rent, only for purchase, and the entire experience ended up being extremely lengthy and not very pleasant.

When the scheduling system Is down, customers should not be affected by that. My pick up was at 2pm and I didn't get a truck until 4:30pm on a day that I had movers scheduled to move me. Very inconvenient!!

Your 800 phone number as well as your web site is completely useless. After an hour I said screw it and called Budget. Only went back to U-Haul when Budget was out of trucks. Couldn't get a human who knew anything on the phone. As a last resort I drove to the Clairmont Rd. location and they saved your dumb asses. They were awesome. Well, you asked.

Always let the customer knows ahead of time if their reservation item not going to be available on the date scheduled for the reservation rather than getting there to realize the item not available after making reservation days ahead..

1. I made a reservation and the equipment was not available at the location on my reservation. They sent me to a second location. 2. I was told by two different agents that the van had been cleaned and sterilized. Going in this was a real concern of mine. I watched your videos of intensified sanitizing and was comforted by that. However, when I got into the van I was appalled. Not on was it generally dirty and looked like it had not been vacuumed or washed on the floorboards, it had not been wiped at all. I spent an hour wiping it down to feel safe to let myself and my son ride in it. This is unacceptable during a pandemic.

My husband (Carter Ryan) and I rented a UHaul this weekend to move 16 ft. pieces of baseboards that we needed for our house. We rented the UHaul in Brookhaven (off Clairmont and Highway 85) near where we live and drove it up an hour north to Kennesaw, Georgia where we were supposed to pick up the baseboards. First I want to start off by saying just how rude the staff was at this UHaul store. My husband and I opted for the mobile check-in hoping that would speed things up and we waited over 25 minutes for someone on UHaul's website to approve his credentials before we went inside to ask if the person working at the actual store could switch us to check-in at the store to speed things up. With a LOT of rolled eyes and unwelcoming tones in her voice, she reluctantly allowed us to check-in at the store. Then, when the keys did not work for the UHaul she stomped outside to help, got the UHaul to start and rolled her eyes and walked away without saying a word (as if we are supposed to be professional UHaul starters). Then, we drive one hour north to pick up our 16 ft. baseboards. I purposely reserved the 17 ft. truck because the baseboards were 16 ft. long and per the UHaul website, it said the inside of the truck was 17 ft. long (image below). It was extremely defeating to realize once we got there that the only part of the truck that is over 16 ft. is the very small part on the top of the truck. When you are transporting baseboards, they cannot be bent in that fashion for an hour drive home on a highway. They would snap and break into many places. Needless to say, we rented this UHaul for absolutely nothing because of your inaccurate representation of the truck on your website. I would not normally type out this long of a message complaining about a service, but I also have never had this poor of an experience with a company before. I would like a complete refund for this truck as UHaul is responsible for an inaccurate website description, extremely poor-mannered staff and an overall unpleasant experience. This was not worth the $147.16 spent to waste a day. I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

The New style trailer receiver that was on my 4 X 8 enclosed trailer is a deal breaker. I had a 2" ball. It was a 2" receiver. It was so loose and noisy, by the end of the day I was furious. It sounded like a kid with a sledge hammer was beating on the back of my jeep. I will never rent this style of trailer again. If that is all that is available then our business relationship will be at an end. I gave an average review because I spent 40 minutes on hold and never talked to a CSA Between 6:55pm and 7:35 pm Friday night on should I return the trailer after hours with the gate closed. I figure it was safer to keep the trailing my driveway and return next morning. Of course I paid an extra day's rental for the privilege of keeping your trailer safe. Such is life. Perhaps if the UHaul app was easier to use I could of returned it last night. But I cannot figure out how to use the darn thing. This is the second time I had to endure Alec, the rep. The first time I actually walked out of the store. This is how incompetent he is. On this last rental I was forced to go to the same location bc it was the only place that had what I needed. Sure enough Alec was there again. More incompentence. Kept me waiting for 20 minutes to hook up my trailer - AFTER I was checked in and waiting on him to find out where my trailer was. Kept taking phone calls while I was at the counter. I had filled out all the paper work before I came in only to watch in pain Alec to do it all over again. If he is at the counter next time I rent, I am leaving immediately. Now, for the return, a woman greeted me outside and told me that I had to return my trailer to another location because they had their alloted 3 of each size. I said "What?" Followed quickly by a "NO". She said she had to check with a manager. I told her she had two choices: 1. I put it in the yard where I got it, or 2. I drop it right where I was standing. She said she had to check (again). I got the trailer from this location, why on earth would you all ask me to do more work when you can go and get it yourself? What the hell kind of operation we running here??? Rental procedure and equipment were find - however, the lot person would not get off of his phone long enough to hook up the trailer - he kept stopping to text - I ended up doing it myself just to get going. When I returned, I could not even get into the lot - returned vehicles were blocking the entire parking lot - I had to call the store from the road to get them to move some trucks - same lot guy - still on the phone the whole time. Employees should NOT be texting while on the clock and when they are supposed to be helping customers.

Charged me 20$ for a overnight drop off but I specifically ask what all do I have to and I was told just drop the key off In the box and you will be fine. But now she claims she told me to go online and check in first but I was never told that. If I was I would have done so. And this must be a new policy because when I rented last year it was just drop key off in the box. I should be refunded because it's a new policy and I wasn't told.
