I made the reservation over UHaul.com. Initially I made an error in the reservation and had to change/cancel it. It took a little looking around on the site to find the correct link to use to modify the reservation. It might be useful to make that more visible. Otherwise I had a good experience in using the Internet to make the reservation and at the pick up point.

Speed of processing. I waited forever just for 2 dollys because technology was an issue, employee didnt know how to fix it, and there were walkins that came after me and left before me.

When I dropped off the equipment in Atlanta, the employee behind the counter was counting the money from the cash register and he told me that he he had clocked out. I asked for someone to help me and he said "the assistant manager is outside", when I went outside there was nobody. So, nobody officially checked me in.

I made a reservation to pick up a truck at one location at 730am. At 740am I arrived at the location to find out that they did not have any trucks in the size class that I reserved and my reservation had not been reassinged to another store and no notice was given to me. In fact, the manager of the first location showed me that, despite me booking through the website for a specific truck size at a specific location, Uhaul had no even bothered to assign my reservation anywhere! So I was then sent to another location to pick up a truck. When I arrived no one could find my reservation. We finally got the matter settled and I retrieved my truck. As I started to pull out of the parking lot, onto a very busy road, someone came running to flag me down about a 15 min parking limit in their parking lot and proceeded to tell me I had to park in the hotel parking lot next door. Really unprofessional experience this time around. The people working at the location should make people aware of the parking limit PRIOR to giving them the truck. How does it make sense for a company who rents vehicles, to tell someone that they cannot leave their vehicle on the uhaul property. There was no notice ahead of time so that I could have prepared to be dropped off or take a taxi service. Would my car have been towed had I not been notified and left my car in your parking lot??

rented a car hauler. maintenance on the equipment was very sub par. the ratcheting tie downs were very rusty and worn to the point that they were very difficult to uncouple. Additionally the straps were frayed to the point that they were also difficult to run thru the slots. Attendant that help us hook up the trailer let us go with a quit high ball set up even when asked if we needed to move the ball hitch lower. Consequently, the trailer was swaying even without a load and we had to readjust the ball down en route to our destination.

Very efficient to book and get vehicle. While the van appeared to be clean, there was a used cigarette on the dash. In addition, the van smelled extremely bad. We had to drive with the windows partially down in 48 degree weather.

I got a feeling of being "nickel and dime-ed" as well as being pushed into buying insurance and ancillary items. The dialog during the rental set up could be a bit less threatening and done at a higher level.

After I had traveled 5 miles, a warning light came on that said service saftitrak. I was transferred to the roadside service department and they eventually said not to worry. It delayed my trip and was a bit concerning.
