The customer service was good, the back of the van was a little dirty when I picked it up. Overall I would recommend this location. However, I was supposed to actually pick up my rental at "Just Like That" in weaverville, nc. After calling and confirming that day, when I went to pick up my rental, they had given it to someone who walked in that day, and didn't have any other rental vans. After waiting for a while, they finally sent me to Allen's Gulf, who thankfully had a rental. Allen's Gulf though was in the opposite direction of where I was going, which wasted additional time, gas, and mileage. I called Uhaul Traffic division when I returned my rental, to see what could be done for my inconveniences and wasted time/money. I was supposed to receive a call back, never did, so I called Uhaul again 10 days later. After being on the phone (mostly on hold) for about an hour (including being disconnected once and calling back), I finally received the cell phone number for Josh Ogle, the regional manager. I left a message on his cell phone on Monday, and it's now Friday and have not received a call from him. I called Uhaul customer service again this morning and filed an "objection" and supposedly a manager will get back to me soon about this. I have used Uhaul many times in Los Angeles and never had an issue, this was my first time using them in North Carolina after moving, and it will probably be my last. I had time & money wasted from my initial experience, and have wasted far more time and energy simply trying to get a manager from Uhaul on the phone to make this right.

This was an absolute nightmare. I had to modify my reservation for a tow trailer because my son had to get his car fixed before he moved to GA. So the person I spoke with (named Sapphire) said no worries, she would just change the reservation the next day. (I was only being charged $59 through the current reservation as a one way tow from Asheville to Atlanta for 2 days). The next day, the girl at the pickup location had no idea how to enter changes into the system. So she cancelled our reservation entirely, then re-entered it with the promise that the charges would drop since we were only renting the tow trailer and not the truck for a one way tow to Burnsville (approximately 35 miles) and for only 1 day. It wound up costing us $109 for a single day, one way tow! Does that make sense in any universe? I could have paid someone to tow the vehicle to Burnsville for $150 - but because of shoddy customer service we were stuck with this scenario. I definitely DO NOT recommend this location for anyone moving from that area. Extremely dissatisfied customer.

my reservation was never finished at the Garrison Road location. I had to actually find another dealership with a pickup and had a crew of folks waiting for me to get the reserved truck. U-Haul completely messed up my reservation and my day

Our reservation with uhaul somehow got messed up for the time of pick up and drop off, as we noted on the confirmation message we received. On Friday, the same day that we originally had selected pick up, but had been given the next morning instead, I called Allen's and requested the truck be available at the time we originally requested on Friday evening. They were great! We were able to pick up the truck just when we originally wanted to with good customer service over the phone, at the location of pick up, and when we dropped off the truck today. Much appreciated!

When booking the young lady was not very well informed and could not answer all my questions. After the initial experience, all was perfect. The truck was the newest, cleanest, best running vehicle I have ever rented from UHaul and everything was great. Only thing missing was someone besides us to load & unload! Would rent again - no issues.

I didn't know where I was supposed to drop the truck off (rented it one-way). Had to drive 30 mile round trip to drop it off. Location was a service station. Young woman didn't know how to complete my return transaction but her husband was very helpful.

Be sure people understand that if they are doing a round-trip, UHAUL HAS A STUPID POLICY THAT SAYS UNLESS THE TRUCK IS TAKEN BACK TO A DIFFERENT UHAUL LOCATION YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR MILEAGE!! RIDICULOUS!!

Chrystal was very helpful in sorting out a conflict between the gas level in the truck and the indicated gas level in UHaul's computer system, as well as identifying that the computer showed the truck's odometer was 20,000 miles LESS than the actual odometer. Thank you, Chrystal!
