The van was quite dirty. It felt gross to get into it. Also, the van we were going to be given only had 3/16 of a tank of gas in it. We ended up getting a different van that became available, so we weren't directly affected. But sending customers out with so little gas is pretty bad customer service. I will say the young man who helped us was terrific--very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.

We were given a van with a broken sideview mirror. We didn't notice how bad the damage really was until we were on the highway, and could have seriously injured someone else or ourselves. When we returned, we asked why we were given this van when there were unused vans still in the lot. The attendant said he wasn't able to switch it on the site for us, so that was the van we had to take. Take the van out of circulation until it's safe to drive, man. We're all lucky we made it back in one piece.

The place is fine. It's UHaul's customer service that is poor. There was no key there so I called the phone number given. No answer, message to call another number. I called that, no answer. I called the 1-800 UHaul number. On hold for over 45 minutes before hanging up. Finally called the owner of the storage building who helped us. Terrible service on UHaul's part.

Everything is perfect at the Arlington location ! I just wanted take this moment to say Kevin at the location was great! He was very polite and personable. Although it was time for him to go home he stayed and guided me to the van and explained everything to me.

I stopped at the U-Haul at 230 St. East in NYC because I was lost. They were so helpful to me. The man at the desk was very kind as was the mechanic I asked again to check about the tires. He explained that whoever changed the tires neglected to put censors in those tires at all and that was what made the light to be on all the ride.

Mobile phone 24/7 pickup: When I arrived and signed in to my account, the website informed me that the equipment "had not been assigned" and that I needed to call a representative. The phone number's answering machine told me to call another number, and the representative did not pick up. Eventually, the representative responded by text message, and suggested that I call the "800" number for Uhaul. I was on hold for nearly twenty minutes, then spoke with the greater Uhaul representative about pickup at a different location. By then, the first representative called me back, and had been able to assign the vehicle to me. This process cost me an hour of time, and forced me to reschedule an appointment. I am very disappointed with how this went, and would advise anyone who needs to use 24 hour pickup to call the location, and Uhaul, in advance, to make sure your equipment has been assigned.
