Vehicle was cold and full of snow. I had to use my personal ice scraper to clean off the windshield as there was not one in the vehicle that I could find.

The pick up and drop off services were fine. However, for Corporate U-Haul, the overall experience of trying to return the truck, SUCKED! You idiots do not maintain an accurate data base of pick up or return locations. I had to go to THREE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS to return my truck, because the first two were either out of the U-Haul business, or had shifted to Penske. And the third and final location had an incorrect address, so it was only with VERBAL directions from the Penske location was I able to find it! It took me an extra 90 MINUTES to return the stupid truck. Get your act in one sock, Corporate U-Haul, and keep an accurate data base (or Google) to prevent headaches in the future. I should be given a partial refund for all the extra time and effort I had to expend!

Your online after hours drop off is not friendly. Could not find it for returning a trailer. Nice video on returning a truck though. Had to hold on until the office opened and come back to return the unit.

I have to complaints that I’d like your response to: First, the instructions on where to pick up the one-way truck were absent and frustrating. The online web site showed a truck available at a location quite near our loading point. Upon arrival, I waited several minutes while the owner was on the phone with U-Haul only to be told there wasn’t a one way truck available there (even though the on line confirmation directed me there). I had to go to another location several miles away. Then, at the right location, their computer link with U Haul didn’t work. The entire rental experience at the pick up end took about two hours out of my day (and the day out of the two fellas with me). I also ended up going 19 miles beyond the 127 allowed and had to pay extra. Some of the “extra miles” were a result of U Haul’s mis-information. Secondly, I was asked to return the truck’s gas tank back to 11/16th full (11/16th!!) How is anyone supposed to figure that out? It is a ridiculous requirement, and seems designed to take advantage of the customer. Most rental companies use common sense: give the vehicle to the customer with the tank full and ready to go; the customer then returns it full. The vehicle was ok, but the overall experience was frustrating, time consuming, and at times made no rational sense.

The strap on the dolly was frayed to the point it was almost unusable. An employee helped by taping the frayed end of the strap so I could get it through the slot of the winder. The Winder was dry so I asked for lubricant and got handed some penetrating oil and oiled it myself. The strap that holds the car on the dolly was frayed needs to be replaced to be used safely.

I was initially told the mileage fee would be .69 for a Sunday usage. I had to pick up the keys Saturday because the location was not open Sunday. The truck was picked up and returned on Sunday. When I was billed I was charged .99 per mile and told it was based on when it was picked up. I don't believe this is fair. The truck wasn't picked up till Sunday and don't see how it's my fault they are not open Sunday and charging this additional amount.
