Your Santa Rosa location was terrible for service. You had people at the front desk running fork lifts. Everything was disorganized and convoluted. Horrible customer service although your employees tried their best. How bout recognizing your employees and understanding their position in a huge inhumane company environment. Buying Door to Door Moving Co. didn't help your efficiency or reputation at all. It just confused things and made a poor working environment for all your people. Your customer service UHaul on Old Seward Highway sucks too. Dealing with such an unorganized huge corporate Company as UHaul was the worst experience of my moving!

I feel that when I rent from uhaul, there are always extra costs not mentioned until you are there to get the truck. I was told the insurance would be $10.00 fr the 24 hours I had it; however was charged 20,00. Then there are two environmental charges, these add up so in reality it is not just the 19.99 for truck and .99 per mile, which by the way is ridiculous. I have rented uhauls in AZ and the mileage was unlimited. THe staff were great, the way time very appropriate, it is the built in cost that are disappointing.

The truck smelled like old alcohol and sweat. I drove with the windows open. When I picked it up, the staff was not welcoming at all. She was mean and pushy. I'm glad it didn't take long to leave. When I returned the truck, the staff was friendly, disorganized. the guy reached around the customer he was helping, took the key and said I would receive an email with my receipt. I left town. I got back to Anchorage and had a message on my phone, from Karen, looking for the truck I was supposed to have returned "yesterday". I called first thing Monday morning, to talk to Karen. She documented my statement, yet couldn't find the truck. She said she would try to resolve the mix-up and call me back. I called back 3 hours later and talked to "Tracy". they still had not located the vehicle. I then got off work, picked up my child from childcare, and drove there to talk to someone in person. The gentleman said "he checked me in and that my "credit" would be back into my account soon. I DO NOT THINK I SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED. I could not focus on my work, because I was worried that I would somehow be charged for this incident. I think they owe me, the trouble with their customer service, was Karen just did not believe me, that I returned the truck Satuday--BEFORE my 24 hours was up!!! ugh !!

Pick up was great! All hours over the phone is very nice and she was very informative. The pick up at the location was great. I believe Brianna helped us. She didn't mention much about drop off however... Drop off was less than satisfactory. The "my uhaul" website would crash after each photo was taken, starting me back to the beginning. Glad I showed up 30 minutes early to drop of because I sat outside for that time trying to return after hours on the website. After no prevail I called (thank goodness someone answered!!!) and she was very helpful in walking through. Called a few days later for an explanation of charges and the general manager (forgot her name, sorry) called back within the hour to explain. Thanks for the help!!

I was very impressed with how well and smooth pick up and return went. One of your associates, John Spratt was very helpful to me. It's people like him who cause people like me to use you again. If I could change one thing, I would prefer that the vehicles be full of fuel before you leave and returned full. This would take the guesswork out of the equation for the customer. It would be the fair and proper thing to do. Thank you again, Chris
