Only negative is I had reserved a drive up unit a month ago and it wasn't available so I ended up with an inside unit down a couple of hallways which increased my unloading crew time and I had to pay for an additional hour. Otherwise the service and facilities are great!

However, we were disappointed that when we needed to move out only 6 days after the monthly payment due date, NO PARTIAL REFUND at all was allowed. THIS INFO SHOULD BE MADE AWARE UP FRONT INSTEAD IF TELLING US AT THE TIME WE MOVE OUT THAT U-HAUL POLICY IS NO REFUNDS. When we then placed a call to customer service, it sounded as though the general manager could make the call as to whether any of the amount could be prorated if he chose, but since he heard the conversation and didn’t offer to assist it was obvious he would not choose to to. The employee told us they would have given a full refund up to 3 days past the due date, but NO amount prorated after that. TERRIBLE POLICY U-HAUL!

Joel is a talented and skilled manager. He doesn't simply manage but surpasses that in his being a leader and guide to his staff. His employee, Todd is a shining example of Joel's success. Todd hasfrequebyly met my particular needs in a being a customer. He has met a few very unconventional need I have had and put in motion his sharp problem solving skills and found solutions. I appreciate and I'm grateful for everything that U-Haul on W. State St. has done for me over the course of my two or three years of doingbusiness with.them. They get a gold star.
Martin D | Overall ExperienceWell I want to start out with there was no list of rules and regulations handed out from the word go. And two the staff they need to go to school and learn what customer service is all about. And three they change the access hours to the storage building at any given time they would change it I mean I got pictures I don't know exactly the timeline on how they would change it how fast whatever but it will change it seem like from I want to say month to month if not ever 2 months to change. I am now this is directed to corporate you know sometimes people run into a little hard spot and a little bit late on paying something it was as long as you got your money and get your money for the end of the calendar year it doesn't hurt to work with people from you know they might be a little bit short you know what I'm pay you so much in catch you up for about a month or whatever as long as it all caught up by the end of the calendar year but you people won't work nobody you let greed get in your way and I can understand not doing it for people with the poor payment history with you as far as not paying you at all but if somebody's making Force the effort to pay go to work with just a little bit I mean it ain't going to kill you as long as I said you get your money in full by the end of the calendar year. And you got one business day to get your stuff out of our unit well sometimes you got to find help somebody you know to help you not just threatening you know one day then I'm going to lock you out and throw your stuff out like I got threatened at that facility and you're to give a discount instead of raising the rent for people that pay their bill.
