Went to go to my unit inside the main building…was told that my unit was not even in the building and would need to drive across the street to the sketchy building. Drove across the street and started moving all our things in only to realize there was no lock provided for the unit as promised in the rental agreement. Had to go back across the street and ask for a lock. Was advised UHaul was out of locks. I asked how I was supposed to secure my things and that there would need to be a lock provided. The person working had to get one off the sales floor and give it to me since they were out of them. Very disorganized process and not at all what I expected!
Amber W. | Online Move InI reserved an 8X10 unit and when I got there to move my things in there were no 8X10 units available. This was so stressful, I hired a moving company and the movers were ready to unload my furniture. My reservation was in the system but my reserved unit was not available and there were no other 8x10 units available. I ended up having to purchase a 10x10 unit that just so happened to be available. I asked the associate at the counter what happened to my reserved unit. He said that the system double books the units and that this happens all the time. This is unacceptable! Moving is already stressful enough. Imagine showing up with movers and a truck load of furniture and being told there are no units available, after reserving one! Then being told that this is common! I’m lucky that there was a 10x10 available. What if there were non available?
justina h. | First ImpressionsGot storage unit with truck rental they put charge on my account could tell me what the charges where for so I didn’t keep the unit but a little over two weeks don’t need the hassle when it was free for 30 days .my bank is having to look into the charges .

I had to call customer service and they contacted the location to have the unit released. It was resolved but it was definitely an inconvenience.

On the first visit to get something out of storage my entrance card had been voided. The second time when I went to clean out the storage the same thing happened. The office needed to call Joel at home to let me in. Someone needs to explain to them what free month means.

First time I went to make a payment they couldn't even find my name causing me to drive over to the unit to go make sure my stuff was there and then August 29th when I went to check my unit and make what I had planned to be my second payment there was a red lock on my unit. I was so infuriated I called a relative and moved my belongings out of the unit. This location is very dysfunctional and it appears to stem from the manager Joel or whatever his name is. This was the first and definitely the last time I trust using a storage unit. I would expect something like this from a local storage facility but not a corporate entity. Extremely dissatisfied and will highly recommend that all of my family and friends to avoid this U-Haul facility at all cost. I can't remember the name of the employee who attempted to rectify the situation but I would strongly consider him as a replacement for the current manager.
Michael L. | Overall ExperienceI was supposed to have a free lock left inside my unit according to the offer I used thru the website. It was not there. The site also said 24/7 access but unless you want to pay even more, then the building I am at, you can only use between 7am and 10pm, which is extremely inconvenient for me and is not listed on the site anywhere. I tried calling the property GM multiple times and no one ever answered nor returned my call. The unit is also MUCH smaller than I thought it would be. I would expect a 5x8 to be just that. The 8 is apparently the height and not the depth like most storage facilities so now I am going to have to find time to get a different unit and move what stuff would fit at the time all over again. It'll do for the moment but inam less than impressed with the overall situation. I've had storage units before and this is by far the most inconvenient experience of them all.

brenda h. | First ImpressionsWe were customer for almost 2 years..during those years we saw numerous managers come and go,several issues with the facility for example lighting struck close by or possibly even the building which resulted in the system to crash and the units to not be secure for several weeks or months,our keycards stopped working,even though we paid extra for access 24 hours during this time we only had access during office hours and 2 times shortly after the problem was "fixed" we accessed our unit after 7 pm and the police showed up thinking we were robbing the building..we moved out several months ago into a different facility where we don't have to pay for 24 hr access and still have security and I turned my keycard into the manager and told him we had moved out the day prior to my rent being due and was told he had put us in as moved out but you all have continued to call email and send letters about rent for a unit we longer have..

Betty G. | Overall ExperienceWe've had a challenging experience with U-Haul throughout our move. Mandy was fantastic! She was very helpful trying to solve a problem that was complicated. However, when we arrived at U-Haul months earlier our reserved unit was not available and the only available option was more expensive The then manager gave us a discount that is no longer valid and we are now being charged more. we are offered a free month rent to compensate this however the start date is different and essentially is only 10 days free. I am waiting on a call back from Joel this store's manager where hopefully we can resolve this issue.
