Took a minute to do it but it will protect items well. The box it came in was about the right size. Why wasn't that one on your site?!

We have a 59"x53" painting on canvas. It took two box sets but it worked and a lot of tape.

Michael C.
Rating:

These boxes used to be excellent but they were recently changed to a thinner, less rigid cardboard format so they are no longer a secure way to pack items. There has also been many production inconsistency issues with the newer boxes where some of the boxes are missing to corrugations and are just two thin sheets of craft paper essentially.

Hi there. I am looking for affordable shipping options for selling my large scale paintings. The largest ones are 30 x 40 x 1.5 and 48 x 25 x 0.75. Am I able to tape these boxes together and ship via USPS or FedEx or UPS? Do you recommend this or combining the large mirror boxes? Also, are your boxes made of recycled materials? Thanks!

–Ayla Zambrano 1/27/2021 6:53:15 PM

Hello, these boxes are suitable for shipping however, we recommend contacting the shipper to find out if they believe it will meet their guidelines for Artwork. No, the boxes are not made from recyclable material, however, they are recyclable. Thank you

–Frank 1/29/2021 6:07:47 AM

I have a wood framed mirror 51-5/8" x 35-1/2"". Will this work and leave room for bubble wrap at the corners to cushion and take up any extra space?

–Art 11/20/2020 7:17:32 PM

This box accommodates mirrors up to 40" x 60" x 3-1/2" That is the Length, Width and Height of the box. I would suggest bubble wrap with plastic wrap over. Thank you for your question.

–Frank 11/24/2020 5:59:31 AM

–Frank 10/12/2020 10:43:26 AM

does this come with the edge protectors or do those have to be bought separately? How bout in the picture boxes?

–liza 10/7/2020 1:16:26 PM

Hi Liza, So, the Four Piece box does not work with the packing. For that, you would need to go with the either the Mirror Picture Box or the Large Mirror box. https://www.uhaul.com/MovingSupplies/Packing-Supplies/Picture-Packer-Kit/?id=617 I hope this helps.

–Frank 10/7/2020 1:38:06 PM

–Savannah 9/29/2020 10:29:42 AM

Is this too big for a 16x20 photo frame?

–Cleo 9/2/2020 9:04:45 PM

Hello, Cleo! No, you could opt to use 2 of the 4 pieces to hold a photo frame that small. You may need to fill extra space in the box with a protective material like Packing Paper to keep the frame from shifting in the box. Thank you!

–Savannah 9/29/2020 9:49:00 AM

I have a 30x30 frame, I can use

–mauricio Almeida 7/20/2020 12:24:07 PM

Hello, Mauricio! Yes, as long as the frame is not thicker than 3-1/2". Thank you!

–Savannah 8/3/2020 10:28:12 AM

–Jackie Voss 7/16/2020 9:28:37 AM

Hi, Jackie! Yes, so long as the glass is not thicker than 3-1/2". Thank you!

–Savannah 8/12/2020 11:53:59 AM

I have a 49" x 41" x 2" painting I need to protect during a move. Can I tape these pieces a little bit further apart and make it fit? Are they flexible?

–Mary 7/1/2020 11:02:41 AM

Hi, Mary! You could use this 4-piece box set, but there would be some gapping where the boxes wouldn't be overlapping or touching. You could also opt to put together 2 of our Large Picture & Mirror Boxes together. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 7/1/2020 1:58:37 PM

I have an oval stand up mirror I need a box for moving. What is the best one to get

–Jennifer 6/8/2020 5:05:40 AM

Hi, Jennifer! The answer to your question depends on the diameter of the oval mirror, but any of our mirror boxes, including this one, will work if it will fit. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 6/9/2020 3:44:13 PM

I have a 40" x 60" canvas, will this box adequately fit that?

–Brian 5/3/2020 2:07:30 PM

Hello, Brian! Yes, as long as your canvas is not thicker than 3-1/2 inches. Thank you!

–Savannah 5/4/2020 3:43:00 PM

Will this work for a 50 in TV?

–Margaret McRorey 4/29/2020 4:10:52 PM

Hello, Margaret! We do not recommend this box for a TV. Please consider our Flat Panel TV Kit for packing your TV. Thank you!

–Savannah 4/30/2020 7:55:04 AM

I have a cast iron grate that measures 32 x 32 inches and weighs 50 pounds it is less than 2 inches thick. Will this box work or what do you recommend? I need to ship the grate UPS.

–Jane Maxwell Weyrich 4/13/2020 12:01:43 PM

Hi, Jane! The better option for your item would be our Large Mirror Box if you are planning to ship the item. If you feel your item needs extra protection, you may even want to opt for our TV Kit and a Picture Packer Kit. We always recommend using some sort of packing material such as Enviro-Bubble to wrap and protect the item in the box. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 4/14/2020 1:11:53 PM

Will this work for a decorative mirror size 46" by 48"?

–Teresa 3/5/2020 7:05:15 PM

Hi, Teresa! Unfortunately, our 4-piece mirror box will not be quite large enough for a mirror of that size. You could tape together two of our Large Mirror Boxes, which would create 1 70” x 48-1/2” x 4-5/16” box. You will also need to consider the thickness of the mirror. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 3/9/2020 11:24:13 AM

If we pack by using only 2 pieces of this box, is there any crack on the top and on the bottom of it ? Will it be fit without any crack ?

–SEO 2/19/2020 3:46:06 AM

Hello! The answer to your question may depend on the size of the picture/mirror you are packing. Should there be any gapping between the boxes, you could easily cover them with tape. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 2/25/2020 1:40:48 PM

Looks good to protect corners, but what protection for glass in the picture frame? It would appear that cardboard and bubble wrap could easily be pushed or stressed in the middle and crack the glass.

–David Jones 1/23/2020 10:13:55 AM

Hi, David! If you feel that purchasing Enviro-Bubble to protect the glass in your picture frame is not sufficient, you could also wrap the glass in a Furniture Pad for extra protection. We also recommend filling all empty space in the box once the picture frame is placed in the box to ensure the frame does not shift while in transit. This can be achieved with something like Packing Peanuts or bunched up Packing Paper. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/23/2020 1:58:22 PM

Do these boxes have handles?

–AMR 1/8/2020 2:37:04 PM

Hello! No, our four piece mirror and picture box set does not have handles. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 1/8/2020 2:58:56 PM

Can i use this box for a 57x42x2 Frame?

–Mathieu 12/1/2019 8:17:01 PM

Hey, Mathieu! Our four piece mirror box would not quite be large enough for a frame of that size. We recommend using 2 of our Large Mirror & Picture Boxes. Thank you!

–Savannah 12/2/2019 7:24:59 AM

I have a metal sculpture/artwork. That is relatively lightweight hangs on the wall and measures 48"x 48". I need to ship it from Florida to Virginia would two of these boxes be able to protect it In the mail?

–Savannah 7/25/2019 3:33:20 PM

Would this box work for a piece of canvas art that is 65x30x3?

–Ann 7/16/2019 2:16:31 PM

Hi, Ann! Unfortunately, this box would not quite fully cover a piece of canvas art that size. Since we don't have a box that will work for that piece of art, if you are simply moving the art, we recommend wrapping the piece of art in Furniture Pads and securing the pads with Stretch Wrap. Thank you!

–Savannah 7/22/2019 1:38:57 PM

I have a 15.5" x 63" mirror - any suggestions of a box that would work?

–Donna Jones 5/6/2019 6:31:36 PM

Hi, Donna! For moving a mirror of that size, we recommend wrapping it in Furniture Pads and then securing those furniture pads with Mover's Stretch Wrap. We do not have offer a box that would work. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 5/8/2019 7:09:18 AM

I have a 17X 26 frame two of them, can they fit in one of these and i wouldn't have to use all four pieces right?

–MB 5/2/2019 6:51:47 PM

Hello! Ideally, you would use 2 of the 4 pieces for each frame, thus using all 4 pieces. Each piece measures 22" x 31" x 3-1/2". You may need to add some extra padding such as Enviro-Bubble to pad the frames and to fill in any extra space to keep the frames from shifting. Thank you!

–Savannah 5/6/2019 10:13:05 AM

I have a 48 x 48 inch glass table top. What do you recommend to pack this

–Tom Strifler 4/19/2019 8:57:57 AM

Hello, Tom! For glass tabletops, we recommend wrapping it in multiple Furniture Pads and securing them with Mover's Stretch Wrap. Furniture pads secured with stretch wrap may be sufficient as long as the glass tabletop is handled with care. If you would like an extra layer of protection, you could also opt to wrap it with Large Bubble Enviro-Bubble before wrapping with furniture pads. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 4/23/2019 3:24:45 PM

I have artwork 34x42x3.5" can i use this box? or maybe you have a smaller one, if yes where can I buy?

–Nira Chorev 3/31/2019 7:55:35 AM

–Savannah 4/1/2019 9:52:28 AM

Where is the closest store to manning SC 29102 to be able to pick up my order and how long does it take for the store to receive my order

–Cathy 3/13/2019 4:45:24 PM

Hello, Kathy! Based on your zip code, it looks like the closest store to you that has stock of our four-piece mirror & picture box is Main Road Self Storage. Here on the product page if you select "pick up in store" you will be able to place an order online to pick up your items. They will be ready in as little as 2 hours if the order is placed during business hours. If placed after business hours, you can pick your order up the following business day. Thank you!

–Savannah 3/14/2019 7:25:49 AM

I have a piece of artwork that is 60” x 60” - if I bought two of these, would I be able to use the larger pieces from each set to accommodate?

–Jodi Patterson 2/14/2019 8:26:36 AM

Hi, Jodi! All 4 of the included pieces are identical, so what you described would not be possible. Unfortunately, we do not carry a box that is large enough to accommodate a 60" x 60" piece of artwork. If you are moving the artwork, you could opt for simply wrapping it in Enviro-Bubble or Furniture Pads to keep it safe while in transit. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 2/14/2019 2:46:38 PM

I have a 72"x96" mirror to move. It is fairly thin but actually very heavy because of the size. What type of boxes or products would you recommend for this? Thanks!

–Corey 1/17/2019 10:17:31 PM

Hi, Corey! We don't have any boxes that could accommodate a mirror of that size. If you're moving it rather than attempting to ship it somewhere, we recommend wrapping it in multiple Furniture Pads as well as Enviro-Bubble to keep the mirror protected. You can secure the furniture pads or enviro-bubble with Mover's Wrap or some tape. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/23/2019 4:09:43 PM

I have a 60" x 34" x 2" piece of artwork. This is adjustable. Wouldn't the four piece picture mirror box work?

–christy 8/29/2018 4:48:55 PM

Hi, Christy! Unfortunately, we do not offer any boxes that would be large enough to accommodate those dimensions. We recommend contacting the mail carrier you are planning to ship with to see what options they have for you. We apologize for the inconvenience!

–Savannah 8/30/2018 8:01:43 AM

I have an glass oval tabletop. It measures 48 by 90. Which box will work for protecting it during storage and moving.

–Val 8/23/2018 6:27:32 PM

Hey, Val! Unfortunately, we do not offer any boxes that could hold a glass tabletop of that size. One alternative option would be wrapping the glass in furniture pads (you will likely need several to properly wrap a tabletop of that size) and securing the pads with mover's stretch wrap. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 8/27/2018 3:28:17 PM

Can I use this box to ship a piece of art cross county?

–Bryna 7/8/2018 8:05:42 PM

Hi, Bryna! Although the four piece mirror & picture box is suitable for shipping, we recommend contacting the mail carrier of your choice to determine whether it is acceptable for your art or not. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 7/10/2018 12:47:19 PM

Does the price cover all 4 pieces or is this price for one piece?

–skip 6/30/2018 8:47:40 AM

Hi, Skip! The price includes all 4 pieces as a set i.e. $7.95 USD gets you all 4 pieces of the Four Piece Mirror & Picture Box. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 7/2/2018 7:17:24 AM

I NEED TWO BOXES: 30 X 32 X 10 inches, can I get it on this size

–AMPARO 6/25/2018 10:44:18 AM

Hello! We do not offer a box of that exact size. The closest we offer is the 41-1/2” x 38-1/2” x 15-3/4” Box. This box is slightly larger than the dimensions you seek but may work. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 6/25/2018 11:55:03 AM

Would this box be suitable for shipping an electric guiltar?

–499lake. 6/9/2018 1:39:50 PM

Hello! No, we do not recommend using a four piece picture/mirror box for shipping an electric guitar. We recommend using a Sport Utility Box. Ideally, the guitar should be inside of a case before shipping it in a box. It is also important to ensure that the guitar/case are cushioned and isolated by using as much packing material as possible. Pack the guitar/guitar case by wrapping it in a couple of Furniture Pads and filling any empty space in the box with Packing Paper or extra furniture pads. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 6/11/2018 7:55:20 AM

Hi, Jill! It looks like the U-Haul Moving and Storage of Joplin has the four-piece picture/mirror box in stock. At this time, they only have 3 sets left in stock so we recommend placing an online order to pick up in store so you can have the boxes held for you. Do this by selecting "pick up in store" on the product page, entering 64801 as your zip code, and selecting the U-Haul Moving and Storage of Joplin as the pickup location. Thank you!

–Renee 5/30/2018 5:11:10 PM

Hi, Renee! If you buy two Four Piece Picture/Mirror Box sets, you could accommodate your 42" glass table top. Thank you!

–Savannah 6/1/2018 1:23:32 PM

Do you get all 4 pieces for $7.95, or is it $7.95 per piece?

–Susan in Corvallis 4/7/2018 4:11:10 PM

Hello, Susan! Yes, the sale price includes all 4 pieces as a set. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 4/10/2018 12:52:23 PM

I need to move a 56" round glass table. Would this box work somehow!? Suggestions if not?

–Boroba 8/11/2017 6:58:49 PM

Hello! We recommend wrapping the 56" round glass table in a couple of quilted pads and using the four piece picture/mirror box. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 10/2/2017 5:02:07 PM

Do any of your stores in the Toronto ares carry the 4 piece mirror/picture boxes?

–Clint 8/28/2016 2:21:50 PM

Hi Clint, if you enter your zip code into the area provided above you can probably find a location even closer to you in Toronto that carries this box, but we found this one when we searched a general zip code in the city.

–TIMOTHY 11/9/2016 9:41:43 AM

Do you have any ideas on how to assemble a box or how to pack special items such as mirrors, TV, etc?

–GnPinks 7/27/2016 6:28:30 AM

STEP 1 – Assemble the four sections.

STEP 2 – Slide one section horizontally onto the bottom corner of your item.

STEP 3 – Slide second section vertically over the opposite corner and secure the pieces to each other with tape.

STEP 4 – Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the top two corners of the item and secure all sections with tape.
I hope that's helpful!

gross weight says 65 lbs, i assume that's what it can hold. how much does the actual box weigh?

–maggie 5/9/2016 5:45:04 PM

The weight of the box is 1.14 lbs.

–Joseph 5/10/2016 8:35:46 AM

I have a 44" X 44" mirror. I don't see any boxes large enough for this. What do you suggest for something this large?

–Ron 4/12/2016 4:21:49 PM

If you use two Large Mirror Boxes telescoped together, they will create one box large enough for your 44" x 44" mirror.

Please see the Large Mirror Box product page to see images of how telescoping works.

–Joseph 4/21/2016 2:56:46 PM

Does the box only cover the front, or it covers every part like normal boxes do?

–M. J. 7/16/2015 1:35:59 PM

It covers all four sides just like a normal box!

–Joseph 8/31/2015 2:24:23 PM

I have two mirrors that will fit in a four piece mirror box, but they are heavy. What weight will this hold?

–Karen 4/16/2015 10:24:47 AM

The gross weight limit for the 4-Piece Mirror Box is 65 lbs.

You may also want to look at the Mirror Box which can be used alone or two can be used together. The gross weight limit for the Mirror Box is also 65 lbs.

–Joseph 4/17/2015 4:52:04 PM

I have a 43" diameter glass table top. It looks like the 4 piece box would not be big enough. What would you suggest I use to protect it during move.

–Karen 4/16/2015 10:19:14 AM

We recommend using two Large Mirror Boxes together. When two are used (telescoping one into the other) they measure 66" x 48" x 4" (measurement is with no overlap).

These boxes with Furniture Pads and/or Large Bubble should be a good combination for protection.

–Joseph 4/17/2015 4:51:02 PM

Took a minute to do it but it will protect items well. The box it came in was about the right size. Why wasn't that one on your site?!

We have a 59"x53" painting on canvas. It took two box sets but it worked and a lot of tape.

Michael C.
Rating:

These boxes used to be excellent but they were recently changed to a thinner, less rigid cardboard format so they are no longer a secure way to pack items. There has also been many production inconsistency issues with the newer boxes where some of the boxes are missing to corrugations and are just two thin sheets of craft paper essentially.

Is this too big for a 16x20 photo frame?

–Cleo 9/2/2020 9:04:45 PM

–Savannah 12/2/2019 7:24:59 AM

Would this box work for a piece of canvas art that is 65x30x3?

–Ann 7/16/2019 2:16:31 PM

Hi, Ann! Unfortunately, this box would not quite fully cover a piece of canvas art that size. Thank you!

Thank you!

–Kathy 1/16/2019 3:47:05 PM

Hi, Kathy! Yes, our four piece mirror & picture box would be perfect for a piece of artwork that size. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 1/17/2019 6:43:31 AM

–claudia gjertsen 1/4/2019 4:14:58 PM

Hi, Claudia! Yes, when you purchase one quantity of the four-piece mirror & picture box, it will include all 4 pieces. I hope that makes sense!

–Savannah 1/7/2019 9:31:40 AM

I have a cal kind bed frame I need to ship. Two seperate boxes needed. Demensions #1 301/2 x 801/2 x 3, dimensions #2 151/2 x 83 x 5. which boxes would best fit these two items. Thank you

–skip 6/30/2018 8:47:40 AM

Does the Joplin, MO 64801 store have these in stock?

–Jill Thomas 5/30/2018 6:55:40 PM

Thank you!

Do you have any ideas on how to assemble a box or how to pack special items such as mirrors, TV, etc?
