When I returned the truck the lady who served me wasn't good. Customer service was poorROSTAND M.
The overall in-store customer service was pleasant and I was highly pleased with the worker who helped me! However when I returned my U-Haul truck to the site, the website stated that my session expired and the link was invalid. I returned the truck around 9:30 p.m. I also tried to submit a â€œforgot my passwordâ€ request to prove my checkout but the site never sent my password reset to my phone or email. I called customer service for immediate assistance. I was on hold with customer service for 42 minutes waiting for a representative to answer the phone. The staff member seemed uninterested to help me. He reported that he would notify the location that I dropped off the U-haul early but when I received my statement it reported that I dropped off the truck at 1 a.m. I think that the database should be checked for maintenance to ensure that the customer followed their contract and returned the vehicle on-time.Kiera K.
Great experience. I believe the young mans name was Chris. Please check. He was amazing. He helped me figure out what I needed and even booked me for another reservation a few days afterwards. He also Walked me out to my vehicle and was extremely polite. When I returned my vehicle the location was closed. A guy walked out to his car, saw me trying to scan to check in. He obviously saw I was having problems. I believe his name was Andy; he's a young African male. He asked me if I needed assistance and I looked around and said you're off of work aren't you? The place is closed and he told me that it did not matter that if I like he could help me. I was not able to check in with the app and he actually did it for me on his phone. I told him again he didn't have to I can figure it out because I knew he had just got off work and he told me that he was glad to help me and wanted to make sure that I was OK. He asked how the vehicle that I rented was and how it performed and asked how my service in renting it was. As I left and got into my vehicle I thought, my gosh who does this, this was amazing. Great service from someone who worked all day and was off the clock. I will definitely continue to use U-Haul and not Penske. Two great employees. Wish more were like that.Joshua R.

Every phase of the equipment rental was seamless. From the online reservation, in store paperwork, pick up and drop off.William B.
I tried to make reservations online on Sunday April 18, 2021 but was unsuccessful. I arrived at the uhaul at 10am on Monday and was told the reason i was unable to make reservations online was because to system was down. So a transaction that should have taken 15 mins took almost a hour and a half. There were only 2 employees working, Chris and Shannon. There were marvelous!! Despite the stress of trying to assist customers under those circumstances they maintained their composure, worked together, and remained professional. Although i was there longer than expected, it was not their fault. They keep apologizing and tried to make best of situation.RYAN C.
The hand truck was not in the truck like we requested and when we calles customer service to let them know, they said they would take it off, however, when we returned the truck, the charge was still in the bill. It has since been corrected, however, the requested item should have been in the truck when we picked upRobert B.
It was a ridiculous ordeal getting my order filled. I placed it in Dundalk, MD where they did not have even 1 box of the 32 ordered. They seemed surprised that anyone was coming to pick up boxes that they clearly did not have. They offered no explanation as to why there was no notification given to me. They offered a refund, which was no consolation with a complete lack of notice. They called the Golden Ring store to check availability and then sent me there saying they had "some". When I arrived at the Golden Ring location, they had 4. And again a refund was offered. This time no help was even hinted at, as apparently they have no ability to check the stock of other stores. Nor did they have the inclination, since at least the Dundalk store bothered to call this one for me. For a business of U-Haul's size this is a gross deficiency. It didn't matter though since I was able to Google the next nearest store, and check the stock of rental boxes. How this feature isn't implemented in store computers is beyond understanding. Customer service was able to give me the phone number for Booking, which was able to move my reservation to the Gwynn Oak store. Another thing that Dundalk was able to do before I went to Golden Ring, but they would not do for me before going to Gwynn Oak. The final stop of my round trip 4 hour tour of the Baltimore area's scenic U-Haul locations was Gwynn Oak. They were helpful, quick, and even loaded my vehicle with me. 5 stars for them, 3 for Dundalk, 0 for Golden Ring. And my apologies to the Gwynn Oak store since this review will almost certainly hurt them, but this has to go somewhere.Bryan B.

The truck which we took was not that clean but yeah there were some trucks which were clean as wellTHENAPPAN S.
Excellent sales staff. Very friendly and hard working. However, my 26' truck from 1970s was not safe to operate. The steering had a quarter turn slop, where turning the wheel did nothing for a quarter turn, then it would engage and turn hard. Truck followed every crack in the road and was very hard to control at highway speeds. It shook like it had Parkinson's even when fully loaded. Under full acceleration the truck blew white smoke out of the exaust. This means the head gasket is failing. I am surprised that this death machine is for rent. It needs serious mechanical repair.Roman N.
