Tell customers that one way rental means 1 way, give a vehicle that is clean and safe, vehicle had lots of water inside cab from rain, front end felt like it was falling off

I had an accident with the truck. I thought I did the right thing by purchasing the safe move insurance. Upon returning the truck and paying the $150 deductible, I was told by the manager that my responsibilities were taken care of. “You’re good” he told me. 2 weeks later I was contacted by repwest (Uhaul’s) insurance company saying I was responsible for the property damage from my accident.. even though I purchased the insurance. I thought it was very underhanded and I was just told what I wanted to hear by the store manager.

Other than the tail lights Not having driving lights only brakes lights, I was glad I didn’t have to use this at night!! Overall good experience!!
My only complaint would be the computer system being down and taking a long time to be able to register and rent a van

The manger that work at west Babylon location is unbelievable rude nasty I can’t believe what I how to go through while having a truck was hell I hope no one has to go through or been through what I’ve been through there no words for him calling me on his personal phone like is that normal? Worst experience EVER would never go there Again or any uhaul for that matter he even went to the level or threatening me as well as harrissment unbelievable and so wrong hopefully Someone will do something ASAP with this good luck to anyone using them especially that location

Stop pushing that self mobile checkout garbage. The last thing I want to do after a terrible 12 straight hours of heavy lifting and moving is fiddle around with uhaul log ins and photos. And on top of that I did do the whole thing and got an error message anyway. I did the gas filling, I just want to hand in the keys and walk away.

Upon Return of this vehicle, I was told I had to do the return on my phone because it was after hours......Absolutely Ridiculous..Who has the time, what if I forgot my phone home or did not have a phone or it broke..THE TRUCK WAS GIVEN TO ME WITH LESS THEN A 1/4 tank of gas........Also what,... No white employees? If this continues I will not be using Uhaul anymore....My rating is based upon this...The truck was clean...that was it, and it should be clean..... but not full on gas..,That's Unbelievable. This review doesn't really give enough of a breakdown to evaluate my last individual experience. My past rentals have always been flawless and pleasant. This past experience was loaded with blunders, whether the fault of U-Haul itself, or the employees working there are up to you. First, upon my arrival, I wasnt able to check in and get my vehicle on my cell phone. This forced me inside. There were 2 gentleman working on this day. The first man had a difficult time with my reservation that was made online. He told me I should cancel that reservation and he would process my rental as a walk-in, so I did. Over the next 10 minutes, he would have trouble with the credit card terminal. He then asked me if I could still access my online rental, but it was cancelled. I proceeded to try to make a new rental on my cell phone at this point because this was taking too long. I did, and when I had the res #, my rental was still unable to be checked out on the mobile app. The associate used the new reservation but still couldn't get the card terminal to work. He finally moved me over to the other associate on the other terminal. The second gentleman seemed new as he kept needing instruction from the first associate. working together, after 30 or so minutes of trying to resolve my issue, my card was processed and we headed outside. I noted level before we walked out. The second associate showed me to the van, opened it up, and claimed to verify the mileage and gas level. He confirmed that the gas level in the van matched what was on the paperwork. When I got into the van, I happened to double check it and it was about 1/8 of a tank less than what was stated on the paperwork. I had to head back inside to attempt to get this corrected. I spent another 10 minutes getting this fixed until I was on my way (roughly 45-50 minutes after my arrival). The next day, I would return my van. Usually, I would just drop the key but because of the fuel level issue the prior day, I decided it was best to have it closed out in person. I entered the U-Haul facility, doors were unlocked. Noone was there. I walked around the inside screaming "Hello?" but noone ever answered. After about 10 minutes of waiting and noone coming, I called the U-Haul 800 number and explained noone was there. The tried contacting the associate that should have been working. More people would enter to wait. It would be another 15 minutes until the first associate from the prior day would come back in. He tried to get me to just drop the key but I reminded him of my fuel issue from the day before. He would close my ticket ensuring I wasnt overcharged for fuel. This experience is NOT what I usually get there. I will rent there again, but some of these issues may need to be addressed on some level. This experience alone prevented me from giving the location 5 stars. Thanks.

I told the guy that took care of me that I wanted to return the vehicle at a different uhaul location and he assured me I can do so but when it was time to return the vehicle the uhaul location alerted me that I was in a local contract so I will be charged more money if I dropped he vehicle at the college Point location where it was more convenient for me and I needed to drop the vehicle where I got it from to avoid these penalties. So I had to drive back 35 miles to the other location and pay for the extra mileage. The guy obviously didn’t know what he was talking about and gave me the wrong information. Worst experience ever never will I ever come back to this location!!! Waste of money and horrible for the holiday season !!

Overall had a great experience. My only concern is they should go over the rental vehicle before leaving the lot to verify any damage and how much fuel it has.

It was not explained that when we returned the truck that if I had already stated the process online they would not be able to find our info on the computer so it caused a huge delay in completing the return process. I was told it would be 3 clicks to check in... um no. I had to take pics of the mileage and gas gauge which I was having trouble doing because it was cold and snowing and I was exhausted from moving all day. So an employee had to come out and help and he left us standing in the snow with no explanation of what was going on. It took almost 30 mins to check in.very bad service

The mile charge is costly when competitors are offering flat rate or unlimited mileage. This has nothing to do with the service I received which was excellent and speedy. Thanks.
