I asked the agent if the tires were good before pickup, which he assured me it was. He lied. The one tire deflated where I had to stop every 20 minutes to inflate. I am going to write a review on Yelp about this

Overall experience was a solid 7 of 10. Several items could be improved upon: We reserved our truck using the app, which we were under the impression would save time. However, there was only one gentleman available to handle everyone and everything. Really needed support staff. After completing a counter transaction in front of us, the overall check-in experience was 45 minutes. There were two customers behind me when I left and I believe another lady waited for about 15 minutes and then left. The light in the cargo box does not work. Fortunately, with our cell phones we could see sufficiently, but it sure would have been nice if that was functional. There was no snow brush/ice scraper in the cab. It snowed/sleeted and I ended up using your emergency reflector kit to scrape the ice. Not a major deal, but a bit of a PITA. The last thing is actually something that I request be addressed. It was never mentioned at checkin that there would be a $3.99 credit card fee. I would have gladly paid cash. On top of that, an 8% fee is way above industry standard. As a business owner, I realize that there is a cost, but it must be brought to the customers attention. Our business provides this option with a 3.2% fee. Printer at the location was not working for a receipt, otherwise the person that helped me was great and drop off was fast and easy. Better signage on which entrance to pull into with the truck. Truck was great and drove fine.

trailer was not very clean. it seemed maintained well, and made our 1100 mile trip as expected without issue. the interior was scuffed pretty badly, and I was not walked through the trailer, or shown the condition or asked to complete a maintenance/condition check, as I was with my previous rental.

This isn’t specific to this site but to the uhaul company in general. I found it very difficult to ensure my reservation was properly updated. When I first reserved it, I couldn’t find a way to reserve for more than 24 hours. I then used the chat function and had to talk with 2 people before it was resolved. Turns out it wasn’t. I asked my pick up location to ensure it was updated. They said it was but then I got text reminders to drop it off the next day. I called the uhaul general line and the rep asked me to hang up and call scheduling instead. I did and they assured me it was updated for the 4 days and I’d be charged. I had told them I couldn’t return it until the late afternoon that 4th day. Then I get a call to remind me to drop off by 8am the 4th day. I then called the drop of location and they assured me they were okay with that. All in all I could drop off when needed but there must be a better way to get multiple days when first booking or at least ensuring all systems are actually updated when you make a change. The drop off and pick up locations were not the problem.

Change your program so a reserved truck is available when customer arrives. If a truck reservation will be cancelled, call the customer BEFORE he drives 90+ minutes to find NO TRUCK!!! I reserved with location, completed required forms online, (on my way to location), and truck was gone, with NO NOTICE. A quick call BEFORE releasing the 17' truck with ramp, (and sticking me in a 10' truck with NO RAMP), should be required, as a courtesy to your customer. I made reservations, U-Haul dishonored the reservation, and never called to inform me. Unacceptable business practice. I'm handicapped, a ramp was required for this move, as I barely walk - let alone LIFT everything into the truck. U-Haul should NOT expect good reviews from customers whose reservations are dishonored without notice. I liked the location, equipment and people at U-Haul. Corporate policy let my family down in a rain/snow storm, on the 1st day of winter. INEXCUSABLE CORPORATE PRACTICES DOUBLED THE WORK FOR HANDICAPPED CUSTOMER AT U-HAUL. How's that for a headline?!? Stop the online check in garbage. My phone was malfunctioning during the time of my reservation. I seriously don't have time to play picture tag with my uhaul vehicle. Honest to god if this is an issue next time I rent from Uhaul, I will be leaving and never coming back. I am VERY dissatisfied with your new program. What the hell happened to dropping the keys in the box with your contract? I live in Wisconsin I stood there for 20 minutes in the 20 degree cold weather attempting to check my truck in. I'm Unbelievably pissed off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The man who serviced me was terrible. He was quite overweight and seated and he was very impatient, rolled his eyes a few times and acted like he didn't want to be there. I noticed when I returned the van 3 hours later he was not there, hopefully the manager took note of the encounter, it was the worst.

The details of the potential overage costs were not explained. When returning I was overcharges $12 for not returning the fuel tank to its starting line. Used the truck for 49 miles, estimated 8 miles per gallon times 6 gallons = 48 miles. The truck had 135,000 miles on it. Inside was dirty. Tires were bald. It was only a $90 rental, same day. but there was no reason to up charge the $12. Also, I volunteered and donated $3 to your helping program at the time of rental. I want my $12 back. Keep the $3 for helping the world be a better place. Paul

Couple of things... A) When arriving, the parking lot was completely blocked with idling U-Haul trucks at 8:15 am. So I parked wherever I could, the only convenient spot. Upon going inside one employee asked "Is that your black truck?" Clearly it was, as they watched me exit my vehicle and enter the building. I said "Yes." Then he went on a childish tirade about me parking in a location where he was moving his trucks. Seeing how he reacted like a child, I ignored him and didn't respond, I just moved on to the counter to pickup my reserved trailer. He then sarcastically said "Thank you, sir." Wow... is this is the customer service that I should expect at this U-Haul location? Perhaps he shouldn't have blocked where customer park with four idling cube vans in the first place. What a monkey's ass, I'm glad I pissed him off. B) I filled out my reservation on-line and had to provide all the information I provided on line at the counter. Oddly she had the same personality as the computer - NONE. Slow, seemingly uncaring and gave a feeling of not wanting to be there. C) The trailer had issues. It was missing one of the diamond plate steps, and the driver side tilting fender on the trailer had lost its bolt on the rear portion - I replaced that for U-Haul. On a good note, I can't say enough about the gentleman who assisted in hooking up and unhooking the trailer when I rented and returned it. He was efficient, friendly, cheerful and genuine. He did his job well and was a pleasure to work with. I wish I could recall his name. I believe it may have been Jose.

Your employees offered a discount due to inconvenience at pickup location and continually called after hours. When I called back to respond to a voicemail left at 5PM, your representative at 800-242-9231 LIED and said they called at 3PM. My phone shows the call was made at 5PM and a voicemail was left. This is a business we are unable to tend to the phone after 4:30. This will be the last time renting U-Haul trucks, as this experience created a lot of inconveniences and unnecessary stress. Your business is unreliable.
