The man, Lee, who claimed to be the manager when I asked to speak to one was rude, unprofessional and uninformed. The worse rental experience I’ve had. First time using the app to expedite process. One example of how bad this experience was: When I asked if the dolly and pads I ordered were in the truck he said, “No. you get them yourself.” I had to ask where they were. He asked, “What kind of dolly did you order?” When I told him I didn’t know. He said, “You don’t what kind of dolly you ordered?” This wasn’t asked for clarification, it was asks in a rude, sarcastic tone. He never did get up from behind his computer the entire time, instead asking one of the employees who was working with another customer to “go get him a dolly.” More could be said but I won’t waste my time. Feel free to call me if you’d like to know more. But I cannot emphasize enough how unsatisfied I was with this experience, including the coordination between online app and service staff at the physical location.

I was given 2 receipts. One from the previous renter, that had my current receipt attached to it, stating a $0.59/mile over my estimate. The second which was actually mine, never got anything attached to it and was put in with the other, showing a $0.89/mile over my estimate. Of course I assumed that it was the lower, because that one had the papers I signed attached to it, only to find out on return that it was the higher price. That's bad business. Thank you for this opportunity to tell you to go fuck yourself. I will not be a return customer. Please get back to me and confirm your bad business practice if you like, but I doubt you will.

I obtained 3 bags of used furniture pads from a different U-haul location. Some were of terrible quality and stained some pieces of furniture. Future customers should be warned. I'm sure it is not the fault of that particular location; it's just a practice that should be terminated or done with more care.

The guy that hooked the trailer to my truck did not lock it down on the ball. I was hooking up the chain and he told me he took care of the rest. When I went to load my car on the trailer it came off the ball and the tongue almost hit my friend and then the tailgate of my truck. Prior to that I drove 90 miles, at any point the trailer could have come off and caused who knows how much damage. I’m addition, when I tried to back the trailer up a small paved incline the brakes kept locking up. There was no way to lock the tongue from moving back and engaging the brakes so I had to stick a piece of wood between the lock and the tongue to keep it from engaging the brakes. When I asked the staff about it when returning the trailer I was told no one knew how to keep that from happening. I have rented from uhaul many times in the past and this was by far the worst experience I have had.

I made a reservation for 11:00. At 10:50 I received an email that I could not pick up the truck until 3:00. When I called to ask why, I was on hold for over 30 minutes. When someone answered, I was told the truck I was assigned to was returned with headlight damage. I had family that had traveled 1.5 hours to help me move. The person told me they were unable to help me locate a truck for an earlier time. Family members called other locations while I sat on hold with national customer service for 45 minutes. A family member finally located a truck. No apology or discount for the inconvenience was offered.

The only minor issue was when I pulled up it told me to wait until a representative arrives to finish everything. After a few minutes I had to go inside in order to get someone. Other than that, everything went very smooth.

I reserved a 15 foot truck a week in advance and I got a call the day before my reservation saying they didn't have any 15 foot trucks. I should have been informed earlier. They also moved the location where I pick up twice. The second time they moved the location they never called me or informed me at all that it moved. So when I went to the location on bluemound rd, they had no idea why I was there. They had to look us up in the global database to tell us that we got moved to this location. When we got here, there was only 1 person working on the last weekend of the month. You would expect more people to be helping on a busy weekend. Once we finally got our reservation, we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come hook up our trailer to our truck.

I am currently being charged twice for an amount other than was listed on my receipt which is causing another payment from my bank account to be an NSF. We chose to use the online check in and pick up so that we could avoid too long of a wait. The online agent told us we needed to go to the counter to retrieve our key which added 30 MINUTES to our check in process just standing in line for them to hand us the key to our vehicle. Use of the vehicle was great, however, the after service of the double charge and not even the correct amount is making this whole experience completely negative.
