Truck was dirty and smelled like smoke and had cigarette butts in the back was discussing. Fuel gauge had less that 1/16 fuel left in the truck when I got it but said it had 1/4 tank on my paperwork. When turning the truck in was told issues would be resolved and expect a call later that week because only one person was in the office so she couldn’t verify my complaints that the moment. Never received a call back from them addressing my complaints. Very disappointed and I won’t be renting from this place again.

Debbie FMy recent U-Haul rental experience was extremely disappointing. Not only was the manager unprofessional, but I was also overcharged for the truck I rented. Had I not taken the time to carefully review my bill, I may never have caught the error. The location charged me $80 for fuel even though I only drove the truck approximately 30 miles and returned it with more fuel than it had when I picked it up—actually filling it to full. Luckily I took pictures of the fuel gage and milage. The most concerning part is not just my experience, but how many other customers may have been overcharged and never realized it. As someone who pays attention to details, I caught the discrepancy. Many others may not. I have reported them to Fort Drum legal office and the proper authorities. I expect businesses to operate with honesty, transparency, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations.
