Totally unacceptable. First, we had a reservation for a 4x8 trailer, which we had made a couple months earlier, to be picked up in Anchorage. The day before pick up date, we get a call saying they don't have a 4x8 trailer but they could give us a 5x8. We didn't want a 5x8. So we were told that there was a 4x8 in Wasilla but we would have to go pick it up. This was 100 miles, round trip, out of our way. When we got there, the wheels on the trailer were corroded and completely rusted out. We told the guy that we were driving to the East Coast. The guy assured us that the actual tires were fine and would not change them out. After getting through Canada, we were on the verge of a double blow out. Both of the tires cords were broken and were wore down to almost blowing. We thankfully felt something was off and stopped. Luckily we were close to another uhaul dealer, where they replaced both tires/wheels. They were shocked that any uhaul location would have let a trailer leave with tires like that. This could have been disastrous! Extremely disappointed with our experience with uhaul in Alaska.

Annett LThe location we finally used, while too far away, was great. Our problem was in the scheduling of a truck. The location for pick up was changed four times and over about three days. It got ridiculous. Why couldn't the truck we wanted be taken to the location closest to us (by 22 miles r/t)?
