We had to wait 5 minutes for someone to come out to the truck to check us out. He then told us they charge $25 if the blankets aren't folded properly in the back of the truck. I told him that is ridiculous since they must have to be washed anyway and I have never ever had to do that! .We folded them so I could leave without anymore stress but that is BS! I assume the management told the kid he had to fold them and he didn't like doing it so he made up that story. Either way I will probably not go back to that location.

The truck was not clean to start with. It has a soda can in it and spilled soda on the pull down center seat. Additionally, the windshield had not been cleaned and made visibility in certain lights extremely difficult. The truck hitch was not operational and we spent 2 hours with a loaded truck waiting for the hitch to be replaced. Because of this wait, we missed our evening commitments. We have used uHaul for all of our moves and this is the first time that I have been disappointed in the experience. I feel as though we should have received a discount on our $1300 move for the missed connection and inconvenience. I asked for one but was denied. Extremely disappointed and will not be recommending this location to friends and family in the area. That is bad business.

The Wake Forest franchise location was fine, however, the overall experience was terrible. I have been using UHaul for many years. I had the worst experience this time because the mover did not show up, Dyers Professional Movers, LLC. I spoke with him and confirmed prior to the move and then day of move he did not show up and would not answer calls or even call to cancel. I held for over 30 minutes to get Uhaul customer service who was not empathetic and said I had to call Moving Help and that Uhaul is not related to Moving Help or it's movers. They were also rude to me. You can tell me they are a subcontractor, and that Uhaul is marketing their services, i understand that, but please do not have your Uhaul trained customer service personnel tell me that Moving Help and its movers are not affiliated in any way with Uhaul, and that Uhaul has nothing to do with them when I contracted for the mover through Uhaul and paid for the mover through Uhaul, and then offer no advice on how to solve my issue. I then called Moving Help and after holding for over an hour, drove back to the store and while holding for Moving Help, they could not help either. My family, who had come together to move was completely left hanging and treated very poorly overall by Uhaul. I finally had to hire another mover to load and unload the truck. I also had to cancel my credit card due to the fraudulent charge. If I do not get my money back for the Moving charge, I will be contacting the CEO, CFO, or General Counsel for Amerco to address the issue because customer service did not seem to be able to do anything. By comparison, VRBO, Home Away, and AirBNB do not permit contractors to continue use their platform if they double book or falsely advertise their rentals. Why would executives at Amerco continue to allow this? Seems like there a huge revenue opportunity being missed by not policing this better. Their system needs to be reliable for customers to continue to use it. I would be asking the unit executive in charge of Moving Help why this is being permitting. We were planning 3 more moves and need a storage rental for at least a year. I was very disappointed in my experience.

I appreciated all of the online research I was able to do, and appreciate the efficiency of the confirmation emails and the hand held scanners the staff uses. But in none of the email notifications and reservation confirmation did it list the facility's address. Please add the address to the emails, which would allow people to easily use their mapping tool and find you quickly and easily.

The trailer I rented was mechanically sound and made the trip without an issue, but it had not been swept, so I had to put tarps down to protect anything I did not want to get dirty.

We reserved a 26 ft truck for 8am and got a call saying it would not be ready until 1:30pm. We had to call and reschedule our movers. When we arrived to get the truck they only had a 20 ft truck instead of 26 ft truck like we reserved. Our paperwork from the original reservation stated we had the truck for 3 days and it was due back July 3rd.

A little customer service would be a large improvement. They did not return my drivers license and when I brought the truck back I asked about it. The girl said it wasn't there. I had a flight out of state in a few hours and I was a wreck. After I got home I called and they said " It's right here on computer.I drove all the way back and I asked manager who was passing by why they didn't call me as they had my number. He answered " you have it now, don't you!.I'm 80 years old and 3 trips back was exhausting. When I said I was 80, he said 'yeah, and i'm 35". That's BAD service!!! Capital Blvd. Wake Forest, N.C.
