UHaul computer was down, agent was trying to send me to another location but I insisted I had a prepaid reservation. It worked out in the end but took more time than it should have.

Computer was down so, didn't know when rented how high the fees would go as there was nothing I could read once I got there. I wish I had known how much they would charge for gas. I put gas in that showed I went over where the gauge was when I took the truck and somehow it was less when I went back to pay on Monday. Nothing written down for me. I wish now I had been more cautious and written every little thing down. I had to go back on Monday to get my change, little of it that there was. Turned out not to be worth my while for what I needed the truck for. Chalk it up to a learning experience. For my next learning experience I may choose a different route. I'm also going to talk to the owners of the whole U.S. U-Haul company as they are friends of mine where I moved from to Visalia. I had another not so great experience a few years back with U-Haul and just passed upon complaining. They are very wealthy and they don't need to nickel and dime people with weird stuff. The young man who was in the office was nice as was the woman on the phone when I booked the truck originally.

The interior of the truck was dirty, had trash under the seats and it smelled of cigarette smoke. The ash tray though dumped of ashes was not cleaned out. The front window was dirty and the windshield wiper did not work well at all, it just smeared the washer fluid.

Van was dropped off after hours so hard to be too critical but it took some time to figure out where to leave things. It was a little sketchy at night.

Our rental was for one way. Visalia, CA to Reno, NV Upon pick-up in Visalia we tried to confirm the drop off location in Reno. We were told "You can drop it off at any U Haul" When we tried to drop it off, we were told "You're rental has to be returned to the pick up location in California. Luckily the Reno location worked with us and straightened it out.

Hard to return item and had to wait for representative to show up. Also returned UHaul truck 2 days early and was told there is no refund for returning truck early but if you return it late there is a daily charge. Very poor customer service. Will think twice before renting a UHaul again.

I made reservations online for convenience because my terminally ill uncle can't be left alone very long. I drove 40 minutes out of my way to pick up the Uhaul truck but when I arrived there was no truck for me even though I was called 2 days prior confirming my reservations (I was even asked to come in 30 minutes early as the store was closing). I was redirected to a different site 15 minutes more out of my way. I finally got my truck but it took over an hour. I am not very happy with the services and the way reservations were handled. I wasn't given a discount for the inconvenience, which I felt that I should.

This location had a small sign beside the front door telling you to go around to the back of the building. Before I pulled out to move around to the back, a young man stopped me to do a quick inspection. He had me pull around back, I had to find a spot to drop the trailer as he was not out there to direct me where to drop the trailer or assist me with unhooking the trailer. When I was finished, he walked out with my receipt.

This was a total nightmare pickup. I picked up two 15' trucks. One had a tow dolly, one had an auto trailer. The 16 yr old employee behind the counter was slow and I was always wondering if he knew what he was doing. It took over an hour to check us in for each truck. We were the ONLY customers! We FINALLY went out back to get the trucks and inspect. We drive out of a very small exit, partly covered by a dumpster. I was very nervous about this. After we got to street, my husband wanted to check lights etc before we drove away. Luckilly he did, one light on my trailer was out. So he left, since we had 6 guys waiting at our house. At this point we are going on almost 2 HOURS!! I go in and tell this kid, he looks and says we will have to trade it out. I said can you please make it quick since we are now at the 2 hr mark!! So he says he issued a credit to my credit card and will recharge the card for a whole new contract. I said NO you cannot do that, it will reject it! It will see the same charge three times (2 charges + 1 credit) for the same amount. He said oh no, don't worry. It will be fine, I said NO don't do it, just switch out the trailer!! He said it was too late. So OF COURSE my card rejected it. There goes $1250 of airline miles!! IDIOT!! I put it on another card - but NO MILES. Then he is confused about something and call some one whom I had not laid eyes on up to that point (I saw no other employee) He asked this guy if he was able to trade out trailer and this guy says oh yeah you could have done that...I told him that!! I was absolutely fumed at this point. We are at about the 3 hour mark when I drive away. OH I also had to ask for wiper fluid for my husbands truck since it was out and the truck windows were filthy. He went into a back room and brought a half of a container of wiper fluid and gave me that. That was nice - but dont they check all that BEFORE I rent!!?? I have rented multiple times from UHaul and never had this bad of an experience. I requested to pick up at different location close to this shop - but was informed I had to go here. I cannot recommend any one use this place at all!! I did not feel confident in the employee, and the amount of time it took was insane.

Get rid of the employee named Felicia. She screwed up and didn't include the insurance in my contract - then said that I had call customer service to get the insurance added. So after I was on the line for 45 minutes with them, the Traffic department called her to fix the problem -- and then left them on hold until they finally hung up. Then she lied to her manager, saying she'd been on with Traffic for 2 hours to no avail. The worst so-called customer service I've ever gotten anywhere, anytime!!
