I had made the reservation 7 days prior with a pickup location of Salem Mini Mart. They said they did not have my reservation and that I would have to travel to Troutville (30 extra miles out of my way). This caused me to be delayed over 2 hours for my move! Before going to Troutville, I went to the Salem Mini Mart and found that they DID have 20 foot truck there!!!!!! BUT, I could not have it....Someone ELSE was picking it up at 6:30p.m. that evening.....WHY????!!!!!!They have me NO explanation even though I made the reservation 7 days prior!!!!! I feel as though I should be COMPENSATED for their inconveniencing me!!!!! I have to rent another truck for this coming Saturday, December 22nd in Salem, VA.....I DON'T plan on renting it from them! Are you going to COMPENSATE me for this upcoming rental? If so, how much? I will be making reservations today for that 15 ft truck for this coming Saturday. Please advice and thanks.

This location went, what I would consider, above and beyond. They called to "check-in" during my trip. They wanted to be sure I knew where they were located, the hours of operation and wanted to know if the equipment was operating as expected. Upon arrival, I was greeted, asked if the trip went ok and again if the equipment operated ok throughout. UHaul should take lessons from this location on how to operate across all locations.

My son was lied to about the gas fill up. I was cheated at this location. And charged 20.00-25.00 more then I should have been. I will he contacting U-Haul to file a complaint. It may not do any good but word of mouth to possible future customers will be warned. And I thought you were nice honest people!! Should have known.
