I am very happy with U-Haul.
I put more gas than the U-haul chart showed and the gauge was higher than when I rented. Was still charged extra for gas.
Unfortunately the owners are very rude and irresponsible. I needed a truck for a day, I paid the full day rate ( for 24 hours), but the owners kept saying how I am only allowed to keep the truck for 7 hours and if I return it after 11:00pm on the same day, I'd be charged a penalty fee. Also when I received the truck it was really dirty and smelly, the owners don't care about the sanitation of the cars which is critical these days for Covid-19. I cleaned the trunk and sanitized the steering wheel before returning the truck. The store location even has no sanitizers in the store for customers, and the owner don't care about the social distancing rules and limits.
Great online checking in/out experience - so seamless. If you can make collecting the keys contactless, that make it even exceptional.
I was charged an extra 32$ and I do not know why, I dropped off the uhaul Saturday. I did leave a lock on teh back accidentally but I took that off Sunday morning. My total experience with uhaul this move was horrendous
Aucomm Car Rental were so rude. You should not let those people represent uhaul. Very poor customer service, no cooperation at all, will not recommend to go there ever. Horrible experience. He told me the fuel is full and i should fill it full. it was 3/4 , i told him so, he said fill it to 3/4, so i did fill it more than 3/4. in the end they charged me about 9$ for fuel. i called later, he did not take any responsibility and said i should call uhaul , I did and they said i shall email the picture i took for the fuel, I did send the picture to the given address, I still did not get any answer..
Customer service level is very low and slow.

DO NOT USE U-HAUL. This was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever been a part of. There were a number of different things that went wrong 1. the day before, I was informed that they changed my reservation 2. I had to return my truck to the same location 3. They charged me for returning it a day late, even though I did not and 4. they charged me an extra fuel charg, again even though, I returned it at the same fuel level. TERRIBLE customer service
Rude and very unprofessioal. The reps., told me tgatbit was my job to inspect the cargo trailer light and frame. I drove off and made it to the Wendy's near keele and 407 and the cargo trailer fell off and it my rear bumper. P.s. I had my wife and 4 small children in the car. I'm pissed off and contimating suing uhaul fir the reps., negligence.
The location charges hidden charges that are not disclosed to customers. For example they charge $20 for returning the vehicle after hours. I drove the truck for 5 miles, added gas to the tank and the location charged me $50 for refueling charge. I complained about my bill and have not heard back from anyone. This place is fraudulent and would not recommend this to anyone.
Clean the vehicle and use air freshener.
I was charged extra because of a fuel issue that was not accurate They have not reversed the billing yet or replied to my email outlining the issue
This was by far my smoothest rental experience. We were in and out in 5 min. The vehicle was in very good condition and we paid exactly what we were told we would. No hidden charges
Make sure the vehicle is clean. There was a used mask and other garbage in the front when I went to go drive it. I already sent a picture when uhual texted me to confirm the vehicle I was getting
Everything was great except for the ease of picking up the truck. It was not complicated but I just spent too much time to find what to do. Also, when dropping it, I was on the phone for more than 20 minutes because the interior room light in the cabin did not turn off. It could certainly be shorter to get to someone that tells me what to do or just leave it as is. The good part was the car. It was in a good shape and very clean. The help line was relatively quick to get to someone but one of the operator just kept me waiting too long. Location was great and overall a good experience.
Inside the van in back was dirty, some kind of an oil or something was spilled
The storage area of the van needs a little more attention it is not been cleaned properly. Normally I would clean it, yesterday I could not because of how dirty it was. ( there was toilet paper and oil spill). just a little attention is needed. i have a picture if needed.
I drived only 5 kilometers,they charged me 21 dollars for gas!!! It's not acceptable ðŸ˜Ÿ
i reserved 10 foot truck and when i was at the location i had to rent 9` semi dirty truck, needless to say they dont have any covid related concerns. the person who give the keys, he is very rue and unprofessional, you have to understand that people need these trucks in strict timeframe, overall its a very bad experience and i dont recommend anyone to use uhaul, the customer experience shouldnt like this.
At reservation, the website indicated the ability to pick up truck before opening hour, they didn't set it up. I ended up wasting hour and half waiting for the store to open, and the guy in the store just said they got alot of key stolen, so they didn't do pickup outside business hour. I don't know why he wouldn't just tell me that when I try to confirm that the day before. At return, the online return site also glitch out, and went directly to last page, which instruct me to drop off the key. I needed up needing to call into customer service after I notice the return never closed. U-haul really needs to fix their website, and Aucomm needs to change their pick up option, if they aren't going to have 24/7 pick up service. Other then I wasted alot of time that day, the customer service reps are polite and helpful, the guy in the store was apologetic, and truck is decently clean and pretty good condition, at the end they over charged a few km more, but whatever.
I didn't receive dolly's got charged for it and now I charged for missing item poor service
