When I got there they did not have the trailer that I reserved. So he gave me an 6 by 12 and charged me more money. He also changed my drop off point and didn't tell me.
The independent owner at this location is extremely unprofessional. He failed to meet/fulfill the time for picking up the vehicle and went on a continuous rant about how he is an independent owner and that U-Haul does not tell him what to do as he does what he wants to do. He continued on about how if he doesn't rent out any vehicles before his 10;30 AM arrival to work despite the fact that I reserved the vehicle for a 8 AM pick-up time at his location online. He continued that U-Haul has to clear those times with him before he rents anything out at that time and that if he decides not to do it, that he won't because he does not arrive that early anyway. He concluded for what might have been the 5th or 6th time saying it, "I an am independent owner. U-Haul does not tell me what to d because I do what I want to do. I don't answer to U-Haul for anything because I do what I want to do."
This truck needed servicing badly! Diagnosis was probably beyond the expertise of this rental agency. Truck had major overheating problems. I was without a/c throughout the AZ, and NV deserts! I was double charged w/ refund still pending. Was not shown how to attach the trailer by agent. But wonderful reception by agents! Still pending a call from rental agents GM as promised. I have video of the truck overheating. Please refund a portion of my rental fee for the awful experience!

I picked up truck at 9am and returned at 1:22 pm and was charged for 74 miles and did t use but 20 miles.. no one walked out with me to check mileage before I left and I didn't know I should have taken picture of mileage. I will not ever rent again and will put word of mouth out about this.
I am disappointed of the arranged pick up location. The truck overall was fine, I just wished that if there was an issue as far as having a preferred place to pick up the vehicle. Then uhaul would follow through on making sure the preferred location would have that particular truck brought to that place. Instead we had to add an extra hours drive just to make our planned trip go as planned. I am greatful that we didn't get charged for the extra mileage, but I would have preferred that uhaul would make sure the vehicle would be at that preferred spot. That was three hours longer than I would have want to do. Just giving some constructive feedback.
While the owner of the pick up site was awesome, we arrived and our equipment (17 foot truck) was not there, they happened to have a 20ft truck. The 20 ft truck was filthy and the back door wouldn't shut rendering the truck unusable. We chose to take the truck despite the issue bc there were no other options within 100 miles and we were moving a student into college. We were not afforded any other options despite the fact we had a $50 guarantee on our reservation. We bought insurance and protection, but that didn't matter. We called roadside assistance and they arrived T around 930pm. The repair person didn't finish until almost 1am. We lost an entire day in our move. The owner of the rental site gave us a reduced day rate and a deal on the mileage rate, but the condition of the equipment was unsafe and unacceptable...not his fault. I cannot express enough the stress this caused our family. I am very unhappy with U-Haul customer service. They basically left us without options and left us stranded without a solution. If it weren't for the owner, we would have been left without an option. Even though the option was broken equipment, at least he tried to give a solution. Kudos to him, but a huge negative reference for U-Haul. They just did not care about us and our predicament. They simply gave away our confirmed truck and offered not solution. I am extremely u satisfied with our experience. This should never happen to a family trying to optimize what is supposed to be a great experience for a student starting college.

I think it is unfair to the customer to be charged for something I didn't do. My rental was only 78.00 but you took 180.00 out of my account. On the contract it says to check yourself in or an attendant can check you in for 20.00. I wasn't given that option just all the charges which is a rip off. Anything could happen for the customer to not be able to check in on a mobile phone a person should always be available for assistance. Mr. Williams was very rude no assistance and it took a month to talk to him at the Albany,GA site. It is got to be a better way to assist the customers instead of trying to take as much money as you can from them.
I was moving out of town, the owner told me i couldn't leave the truck where I was going or he couldn't let me get it, said he had to take care of his in town people. The other uhaul place was closed so I had no other choice. A $90 trip turned into an $185 round trip, terrible.
The Spot does not have a business sign evident in the parking lot. It would be helpful if this vendor had a sign.

I had a flat tire that I noticed once the truck was loaded. It had a big screw in the tire that was probably there when I picked up the truck. it took 45 minutes on the phone to get approval for a simple $15.00 reimbursement for the tire repair. A small amount such as this should not require a customer service employee, verbal verification from the Uhaul dealer who recommended I fix it myself, an email copy of the receipt, and an OK from a district manager. Empower front line service people to make decisions for small amounts!!!! Also the truck I reserved did not get turned in on time by the previous customer. I was forced to drive 20 miles to the next nearest dealer to rent a truck. Flat tire and inconvenience from Truck not being available caused me about a 2 hour delay, and the customer service agent just wanted to make a big deal of me not calling roadside assistance. I got the tire repaired myself on the recommendation of the uhaul dealer. It was fixed in 15 minutes at a tire store very near Uhaul. After the delays I had encountered, I did not have time to wait for a roadside assist crew to come to me from an unknown distance. Fixing it myself was the only thing I could do that kept me from being further delayed.
Very nice folks! Had the truck we needed on sight. Rented directly from them as UHAUL sight kept saying there were no trucks that size available in Thomasville GA. Will definitely call the again!
