Booked a 17 foot truck. Got a 26 foot truck they said no oneway 17fter available ,there were 17 foot units on the yard. . The larger truck used more gas, could not get into smaller gas stations, the inside if the windshield was very dirty, the previous customer tried wiping the inside with their hands and left streaking you could not see throughl.

The purchase of insurance was a surprise expense that was not explained to me at the time I signed the rental agreement but everything else was great, I would definitely do it again. A very good experience.

My order kept being changed throughout the process. I came in several days prior to request a specific sized truck because that’s what I could handle as the driver by the end, I was almost forced in a 26 ft truck even though I reserved the 15 but luckily someone brought back the 17 ft truck. It worked out but the whole ordeal was very very frustrating.

Only one person working here at time of rental, guy was really good but trying to help 3 people and do ALL the jobs. Also I rented unit at another location online and they transferred me here. I did not read text properly and went to wrong location. Also got a call from someone who did not let e know about this, they just confirmed rental.

My first reservation I made three days ahead of time disappeared between selecting movers and checking out online, forcing me to scramble to find anything available the day of. My second reservation for a smaller trailer led me on a wild goose chase throughout Tallahassee as my reservation was shunted from one location to the next, leading me finally back to the place I had originally made the reservation at, with the size trailer I had originally rented (despite both the website and that specific location telling me they had only the smallest unit available). I ended up returning home AFTER the movers had already come and gone, having moved to their next order. Luckily they came back to help me move, but this entire experience was an enormously stressful disaster from start to finish. Unfortunately, due to the fact that tons of students were moving out the same day I was, and I had already sunk well over 200 dollars I didn't have into this move, I had no other choice but to deal with the nonsense thrown at me. The only good thing about the day was the amazing woman who called to confirm my reservation (while I thought I was picking it up); she stayed on the phone with me until she was 100% certain that there was something for me to put my stuff in to move.

One thing that could be improved on is wait times for customers. Even if there are multiple customers inside the store, there is only one staff member helping. There were three people in front of us and we waited almost 30 minutes because there was only one employee helping.

More people working at end if school year, when many students are moving. Would have been great if people doing work at counter didn't also have to keep going outside.

At pick up, the Tow Dolly had a damaged fender and trailer light. While I did not know it at the time, the damaged trailer light then blew the fuse for my trailer lights output on my car. When the attendant and I saw no turn signals or brake lights, at my suggestion, we tried another Tow Dolly without damage. Of course the fuse was still blown on my car so we had the same result. U Haul attendant was ok with me leaving the lot without working trailer lights, but wanted me to take the broken Tow Dolly since it was already associated with my reservation. Since this was a one way rental, I think they wanted to get the equipment off their lot. After 3 hours, on my own, I picked up a $50 set of magnetic trailer lights and found the blown fuse in my car from attaching to the damaged trailer. Called U Haul to let them know of my bad experience and what I needed to do. While they recorded the description of the issues, there was NO APOLOGY and NO ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE SITUATION. A $50 credit for the trailer lights I had to purchase because of the faulty equipment I had to buy would have been a nice start.

UHaul changed my pick up location at the last minute and this increased the mileage I had to pay dramatically.

Job knowledge at this sight is minimal at best. It was poorly managed and was not efficient at all. It’s During the busiest part of the season is no excuse to tell customers and do nothing to speed up the process. I waited in line for over an hour for an already reserved truck. Then when I brought boxes back in to return I got the third degree from them that they didn’t charge for them and weren’t going to buy them back which they clearly state that they do. Luckily an employee who doesn’t normally work at that sight came in an clearly had more knowledge of what was going on and fixed the problem. I would not recommend this sight to anyone. But I’m sure me stating my comments will not do any good since the manager of the store was sitting right next to the guy who “couldn’t help me” until James came in and corrected the problem.

I selected the location on Tennessee street 3 or 4 weeks ago but was redirected by you to pick up at the Lake Bradford Road location. What a disaster. After I literally leaned over the counter and told her how to check me in we went outside to find a trailer. One was full of their junk and the other was blocked with no equip. To move anything. I tried to help but the space where the trailers were was inadequate and we couldn’t even move one trailer to get the other one out. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Need to have more customer service agents working when busy. The agents need to respond with a sense of urgency rather than move in a nonchalant manner. Other than that it was a pretty good experience.
