I felt so bad for the ONE employee who was working solo on the evening I dropped off my truck -- he was managing a line of customers 10 deep and checking in and out people and equipment .... management should have more people on those last couple hours of the day -- he was a hero that day and did it all without a complaint or rudeness ... kudos to him!! (sorry didn't catch name )

There could have been 1-2 more employees available to service everyone's needs during such a period of high demand (back to school, students moving in, people relocating, etc.). I completed paperwork online to decrease my wait time and still had to wait about 20 minutes or so, defeating the purpose. The service was fine otherwise.

The line was 1 hour long. The computers were unmanned most of the time and the employee that finally sat down didn’t know how to use the system taking over 15 minutes to rent a $8 hand truck - absolutely ridiculous to wait over an hour to get a piece of equipment like that. At least the employee was friendly, but would never use this facility again.

When being told about the amount make sure it’s clear because sometimes we don’t read everything because our mind is on moving and with staff can be more friendly and open not oh it’s on the contract if a client didn’t know they didn’t know I will not be recommending this place and or renting again with this company

We realized we needed a trailer late in the day yesterday and arrived at the rental place just at closing time. Meghan, the U Haul representative, was gracious enough to stay past hours and rent us the trailer we needed. She was a pleasure to work with and represented U Haul very professionally. Give her a raise! This morning, when I dropped the trailer off, the U Haul rep (didn't get his name) was also very professional. Overall, a very good experience.

Have better customer service skills from your personnel when on the phone or in person. The gentleman who assisted me when I picked up the trailer was very helpful but when I returned the trailer the person who assisted me stated he was new and knew nothing. then he sent me inside to speak to another employee who told me there was nothing he could do to help and then shrugged his shoulders. I felt as if I was being given the run around.

At the last minute after friends and family back out on assisting me with a move. I logged into the U-Haul site and was able to secure a moving truck within 30 minutes. I arrived to the pick-up location and the services was excellent. I was a little scared to drive such a large truck, but it all worked out. Thanks U-Haul

There was only one representative working who was doing a great job with a long line and having no help but was having to do everything including showing people out/around the U-haul as well as working the store front. Took almost an hour for our pickup.

My 9AM appointment took me 47 minutes to get out the door and elminitaitng an hour of my rental time right off the bat, the truck was given to me with 1/8 of a tank of gas in it, and the truck had a dolly and furniture pads in it that they would not take out. I did not want or need them and was told just not to use them. It took up room in the truck and I caught my furniture several times trying to manuver down the ramp with large pieces. I was "whatever" about the situation until my footboard was scratched to hell because of that stupid dolly. Although, my return took approximtely 15 minutes and he was nice, which is why I rated below instead of poor, my overall experience was terrible.

There should have been at least one more person on board to help customers on a move out weekend for FSU. There were at least 10 to 12 people in line when we finished our transaction, and we waited 20 minutes to get to the counter.

I made a reservation for a pick up truck, a 5x8 trailer and an appliance dolly at the Lake Ella Uhaul in Tallahassee Florida more than a week ago. I received a text message yesterday asking me to call and confirm a reservation I had already confirmed and even pre-checked in for. I drove over 200 miles from Jacksonville to Tallahassee, only to be told that someone else had needed an appliance dolly, so they let them have the last one. I asked what solution they had for not honoring the reservation. The woman said she could call another dealer. She called and then hung up the phone and walked away. I asked what she had found out and she said, “ Nothin’, they ain’t answering the phone.” She then stated that we could drive to another dealer and “see do they have one.” I said that an appliance dolly would not fit in my small Hyundai Elantra. She shrugged. Her rude attitude and unwillingness to do anything to help after I had driven more than 200 miles trusting in the reservation I had made and confirmed, were appalling. I asked to speak to the supervisor, and she told me she was the supervisor, and indeed, her name tag read, “Jolanda Hicks, OWNER.” I asked her if she even cared how inconvenienced a customer had been by this and she stared at me and said nothing. My wife asked her what she could do to help us out and she stood there and stared at her. We left. We found another uhaul dealer on Capital circle in Tallahassee and and told the manager, Lacretia Smith what had happened. She logged onto her computer and found a third dealer who had everything that we needed AND FOR WHICH WE HAD MADE A RESERVATION, and contacted them and asked them to hold the van, trailer and dolly for us. This is the level of customer service we have always had at Uhaul, and which we expect in order for you to win and retain our business. We arrived at that dealer on Tennessee Ave in Tallahassee, and their Manager greeted us and had the paperwork ready for us and the items we needed. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes. It was pouring rain the entire day through all of this, and a very pleasant young man hooked up the trailer for us while getting soaked himself. I have him a nice tip for excellent customer service. Now I ask you whom you wish to be representing your brand? The first dealer? I think not. Ms. Hicks will destroy your reputation if she continues in her current manner with her attitude and total disregard for your customers. My solution would be in order for you to regain my trust, you would refund the entire amount of today’s rental to me and charge it fully against Ms. Hicks’ franchise. Perhaps such action would teach her there are company consequences to abysmal customer service. I look forward to your response. I will refrain from posting any reviews until I hear from you, provided that is within a reasonable time frame. Greg Frazier Jacksonville, Florida
