It was a hassle on receiving my rental due to the people who used it before me not returning it back on time. Although I understand that was out of the control of the location, it would have been nice to have been updated on this versus going in and having to wait on the phone to figure it out an hr later after my reserved time.

Online return experience was pathetic.
Sumanth SThe area where you return after hours was next to a trash dumpster in a back alley that smelled horrible. The space to park the truck was very, very tight. The actual location of the facility was convenient though.
Oliver DThere was no Personnel. It took me an hour to get the equipment. I waited on the phone for 15 minutes after being transferred to a different department. There were no pickup instructions on the website or the app, allegedly, because I was 10 minutes late to the pickup time. I had to upload my DL a second time although I already completed the check in. At the end there were no instructions on where to drop off the key. And my contract did not appear on my account. I did not have the best experience today.
JANIS DAll in all a very disappointing and time consuming check in/check out process. We arrived to find no one to assist us with the rental (at Devon's Self Storage in Sunnyvale, CA.) The process for renting the truck required nearly an hour in total, including pick up and return. Check in, take lots of pictures, get key, drop off, get lots of pictures, note mileage, return key. This cut into the time we needed to do the project for which we'd rented the truck, especially the pictures part. So we really only had the truck for 3 of the 4 hours we'd rented it for. In addition, we were not told that there would be no one on hand to assist. All in all a very cumbersome and time-consuming process. Had we known that this was going to be the case, we would have gone directly to an actual UHaul place with people to assist. The process also required that we enter a code which was sent to my email but was not accessible because I had the email from UHaul up via my phone. In order to access the code, I had to close the UHaul email, go to the code email, then return to the UHaul email, which made the code invalid. Thankfully we had a second phone with us on which to input the code; otherwise we would not have been able to pick up the truck. So, lots of issues. On the good side, the truck was clean and much easier to drive than I'd anticipated, especially when loaded with our items.
