I was billed an extra thirty five dollars for mileage because the pickup location was changed after confirming the rental. It was supposed to be up on East Washington Avenue instead of the North Bristol location. The suspension on the truck seemed to be damaged as well. Is there a way to be reimbursed for the mileage difference?

It was not the location! It was the worst customer service I have ever seen over the phone. I had to call over 5 times and wait approximately 45 mins every time to get to a scheduler after the first scheduler did not tell me that the location I wanted did not have a truck available at 8am she scheduled it for pick up at 11am when I told her I need it for 8am for 24hrs!!!! So I had to call back 5 times just to get through and when I did I had to go far from my house in another town to get a uhaul and I had to pay more mileage to go get the truck and take the truck back then for what I needed the truck for!!!! This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had!!!!!! YOU ALL NEED BETTER SCHEDULERS THAT DON’T LIE AND GIVE WHAT CUSTOMER IS ASKING FOR AND THE RIGHT SCHEDULE!!!!! THE HOLD TIME WAS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My original U-Haul reservation was mishandled. I received a text from U-Haul 48 hours before my original pick-up, with a different location, time, and truck size. I called Jerry at Bristol Motors, and he got me the right size truck for the time I needed. He went above and beyond with customer service, and was direct and honest in all communications. I really appreciate Jerry/Bristol Motors' service, and would highly recommend them again.

Pick up location is a pretty scrubby-looking used car lot and the office is workable but no chairs, very dirty, small etc. The proprietor, however, was very nice, efficient, and got me underway right away.

Nothing against the Uhaul franchise other than it being a dump. The location was way out in the boonies. I put on over 150 miles picking up and returning the trailer due to its location. It was definitely not the location I selected when I reserved the trailer.

#1) This dealer location is a salvage dump and you could barely get into the lot with a larger vehicle with out running over scrap metal and plastic in the driveway. #2) I didn't have a trailer 4-way flat plug to so the guy let me drive off with out lights hooked up. When I got home and attached the adapter for a flat plug the rear trailer direction and one running light did not work. I replaced the directional and the light still did not work (must be the wiring) I called UHAUL customer service and was told I COULD NOT exchange the trailer for another one at a location... I was told " It will be daylight soon and it shouldn't be a problem to drive it that way" It is against the law to not have working lights and especial a non working directional !

The gentleman that hooked the trailer up to our vehicle scratched the bumper twice. They aren't small scratches either. I wasn't a fan of how he dropped it on the vehicle as well. We may be following up for damages. Aside from that, he was the only person working and clearly needed another employee to help. Had to wait 20 minutes for something that should have taken 5.

When I read my reservation I saw the street address was on Hyw V. I’ve gotten equipment there before. When I go there I realized I was at the wrong location. They had a trailer and I took it. That left my existing reservation at the other location. I need to cancel that reservation. The number is 22375518, can you help?

Bristol Motors was at least better than our originally scheduled pickup location, Conifer Storage in DeForest. When we got to Conifer, the place was a mess, from the grounds to the office. The office, in fact, was a disorganized disaster. I'm not sure how they were able to find ANYTHING in there. After being given our contract, we were told that the 15' truck we'd rented was on another part of the grounds, with the key tucked into the visor. We drove there, but only found a 10' truck. When we went back to the office to inquire, there was a lot of forehead slapping, and we were told that someone who'd arranged for a 20' truck must have taken ours by mistake. They then noted that a woman who had rented the 10' truck--the one still on the lot--had taken the 20' truck earlier that morning. So, the guy who'd ordered the 20' truck must have taken ours by mistake. Well, if they knew the 20' was gone, why did they even send the second renter over to take a truck, knowing that the only two trucks there were now the wrong size, and that he would undoubtedly take the larger of the two? I think they just hoped we'd just mistake the 10' for the 15', just like the guy before us mistook the 15' for the 20'. When we didn't make the mistake they hoped, they did at least find us a 20' truck at nearby Bristol Motors, but told us where to find the place in the most unprofessional of manners, noting that it was across the street from a "gentleman's club," which the one of the guys then made sure to clarify was a "strip joint." Classy. We'd have preferred to just be told an address, thank you very much. When we got to Bristol, the place seemed almost as dirty and disorderly as Conifer. We'd been told we could have the 20' truck available there for the same price as the 15' truck we'd rented originally. But the gentleman who helped us, as nice as he was, couldn't seem to figure out how to make that work. So, we ended up paying at last $10 more for a whole lot of inconvenience and had to drive further for that inconvenience, as well. While I give higher marks to Bristol than I would have given to Conifer, I still wasn't that impressed. When I rented a truck a month ago at Ace Hardware in Delavan, WI, it was a whole different experience. Those guys were organized, professional, and even walked us to our truck with a key they kept behind the counter until it was time to hand it over to us. Seems like that system avoids a lot more mistakes. Gee, what a surprise..

I requested a furniture dolly and I was given a utility dolly. While it still got the job done, it wasn't what I ordered. When I checked in at 7am, my scheduled time, I was using the mobile check-in and it told me my equipment wasn't registered to that location. I called the on call person and she immediately asked if I had contacted the people at the location. I was using the mobile check-in because I had to get the truck early and they were still closed. She eventually got me squared away and rolling.
