I did not get the vehicle I booked, even though it was confirmed 2 days prior to be picked up at this location instead of the one I started the reservation at. I had to actually argue with staff that I booked a 15' not a 10' truck, showing them the confirmation email. They then made it sound like it was my fault as there was no pick-up time noted. Again I showed them the U-Haul confirmation email that clearly showed a 10am pick-up. Then I had to argue with them over drop-off location which was again detailed in the original contract to be Dundas and not a round trip drop-off. It sounds like they gave away my 15' truck before I got there despite getting there at the agreed upon time.Keith W.
The return online has a lot of technical steps and step 5 would not continue after taking the parked pictureon my Android.. lots of work that an employee should do... frustrating after an exhausting moving day. Call center for reservation was very messy, pick up time and length of rental was different than the rep told me on the phone..pick up location, time (causing extra driving time) and size of equipment was changed on me causing an extra expense of about $30 .. even with the reduction of 0.20 per km .. unfair. I ask that a refund to my Visa will be made. Truck worked well and in person check in was very professional and kind.THOMAS N.
To Whom It May Concern, Attitude adjustment by the staff, honesty, due diligence on checking to make sure the truck had more fuel than empty and to make sure it is in good operating order by not having the truck in tow mode for the customer. The staff was very helpful and professional. They managed to rent me a van, even with the computer system being down. I made a reservation online, for a 10' van. When I got there they said they don't have any 10' vans at that location. The reservation system needs to be updated.Robert C.
I arrived to pick up my rental and the system was down. I understand this happens and it was no fault off the young lady who took care of me. When I asked if there would be any competition for my inconvenience the associate called her manager and I was offered $5 dollar blankets for free.To me that was almost insulting! I have not received an invoice but did received a charge of pennies for gas. As a business owner myself I always put customer service first. I think I should have been compensated more than five dollars for my inconvenience. I look forward to hearing how you would like to keep me as a customer? To add the the problem the truck had a very strong odour of cigarette smoke. I had to explain to my young daughter rude individuals smoke where they should not. This location was 45 minutes away from my preferred location, adding 1.5 hours of driving to a day that would already include 4h+ plus loading/unloading. I find that to be unacceptable but What choice did I have?? The booking was made 2 months in advance. Also, I booked and paid online but had 21$ in additional charges on arrival. It is not the location's fault but something different should be done. The extra time and gas were a problem but What of people who dont want to drive on the highway with rental equipment and have no choice when one of the 5 local locations cant serve them??? The actual location was good and they did let me know that I could pick up the trailer earlier (as per my request since my preferred time was not granted and would have put me yet another 3 hours behind).Kimberley M.
Equipment very clean & reliable. Staff very helpful. Booking was very quick and easy. The only problem was that the key pick up & drop off locations did not match where it said they were on the mobile site. For example, the site said the key drop off was an orange box by the front door. It was actually a mail slot on the side of the building. It delayed us by a few minutes - not a big deal but process would be much smoother if the website descriptions/pictures matched the actual pick up and drop off boxes.Shantel L.
