I was charged for an extra day (hence the four stars instead of five) but when I called the problem was immediately remedied and the staff was very respectful and courteous.

The truck was clean but had over 100,000 miles and broke down in the middle of the trip. Not the locations fault. Truck should have been removed from service. The roadside assistance process is a nightmare--even though I knew the truck had blown a manifold and told 2 different people with the roadside assistance program--they made me wait 2 hours for an approved vendor to check it out. It was, of course, a blown manifold and the mechanic then had to work though the U-Haul phone system to report it (another 30 minute wait). Then U-Haul sent us to a store 26 miles in the opposite direction of our move when there were 2 stores within a mile of where we broke down. So we had to back-track, putting miles on the truck. I do not think any of this is the locations problem and do not fault them. This is a U-Haul problem--will not use U-Haul again.

This location could use more staff. There was only 1 customer service representative trying to do all the work. This made for long lines and slow check in and outs. The representatives was doing their best and being very patient and professional. I would put the blame on management for not having enough staff for the demand and for someone not stepping in to help when the lines got long. At check the lines were 5-7 customers long with long wait times. Customers were making comments about this issue.

The reason for the "average" rating was not b/c of customer service. In fact the guy who helped me was very nice and helpful at the Elkins location . What I didn't like was that i originally rented the trailer in Springdale much closer to where I live. The day before I was supposed to pick up my the trailer I was informed that I need to pick it up in Elkins. Alittle bit more of a drive than I wanted, but I needed the trailer that day, so to Elkins I went. What really annoyed me was I either had to drop off my trailer back in Elkins or pay an extra like $25 just to drop it at the Springdale loc where i originally rented it from. So guys at Elkins location, awesome, uhaul as a company, crappy customer service.

Nothing... great staff, fast service, returning the equipment is easy. I rented two trucks.., one last weekend and again this weekend. The tucks were clean and ran good. I won't go anywhere else for my moving rentals.

I am a Realtor and use this location often. On this visit, there was a shortage of trucks due to a flooding disaster in the area. I was given a truck, which I paid full price for, but was told it would have to be return in a few short hours due to someone else having it reserved. This was totally ok due to the circumstances in the area. However, I was told to return the truck on Full. I only went 15 miles total, yet when I added fuel, the truck held OVER 9 gallons, over $18.00 in fuel. This is a little much for 15 miles total in the truck. I told the clerk about this at check in that no way a truck used 9 gallons in 15 miles and that my fuel was almost as much as my rental. I told him the fuel issue and the truck only being available to me for a few short hours, that I thought the mgmt. should at least credit me back for the appliance dolly or something that I really got a bad deal this time around with UHaul. However, nothing was offered to help offset my issue. This was about my 3 or 4 time to get a truck from this location in the past few weeks, not to mention the moving supplies I buy often for my clients here.

Truck had an exhaust leak, made it sound like a clunker, steering wheel was way off center. Brakes Moaned, power steering moaned. Lots of rust on the wheels. Overall a worn out piece.

The lady was very rude. No smile . I was very upset that uhaul made me go to springdale which was an extra 12 miles one way so I was charged an extra 25 dollars (on my miles) instead of referring me to the Bella vista location that had the truck I wanted and we're I was moving to . U guys sent me to the one father away to get more money out of me that is very wrong.

I rented a truck for 19.95, put $6.38 in gas for what I used 3 gallons, rented a dolly for $7.and added the $14.00 insurance. So actual total was $41.00. My question is why I was charged $64.19. I paid the $6.38 out of my pocket. And only had it for 4 hours. What's up with that?

Bummed that due to weather (storms-lightning/thunder) we chose safety and to move our return date not to endanger ourselves or the trailer because of road and wind conditions. We were still charged for these days. I understand business is business, but customer (and equipment) safety should come first.

Rented the same cargo van twice within a week, both times the info screen said oil change needed. To go 129 miles used 1/2 tank, took 12 gallons of gas to fill from 1/4 tank to 3/4 tank. I have rented cargo vans from this location many times to drive the exact same route and mileage has always been great. However this time avg gas was 10 mi a gallon. Not good. Also, there is a crack going through the middle of the windshield.
