I would like to know why Uhaul have over charged me for the use of there trucks. Plus, I paid more for a 15' than I paid for a 20' truck. How long do it take for Uhaul to refund your deposits payments?

We rent twice a year for a mission trip to transport supplies to the airport. This year our first trip we were over charged on the gas when returned and today the truck wasn't even ready. We were on a time schedule and it took way too long for us to checkout. They couldn't find the keys, then they had to move several trucks to get to the one we rented. We weren't too impressed this year renting from this location.

Took me an hour to check my uahul in. Had an issue with my paperwork that only the assistant manager could fix who took 1 hour to rent a truck to the couple in front of me. Was more interested in making casual conversation than doing his job. In the time it took him to rent this couple a truck the other gentleman working the counter rented out 5 trucks. Once it was my turn I had to have him turn the monitor around so I could guide him through the problem. Basically resolved the issue myself. Beyond frustrating.

The booking and pick up processes were both fast and easy. The clerk who helped me during pick up was knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. The only problem I had was when I went back to drop the truck off. My scheduled drop off time was 5pm. The clerk told me at pick up that they closed at 5pm as well. I arrived at 4:53pm. The clerk who was in the store at that time (different from the first one) did not want to check the truck in because "they were already in the closing process". He suggested I just leave the truck and they'd check it in and do the paperwork in the morning. I said that was fine as long as I didn't get charged for an extra day, as I had made it in before the pre-planned 5pm. He begrudgingly, with an eye-roll and a huff, went ahead and checked the truck in and finalized my paperwork...which took him all of about 3 minutes. He barely spoke to me and did not thank me for my business, tell me to have a nice day....nothing. Terrible customer service from this particular clerk.

It just took.a long time to get.. over an hour.. some was not technically their fault.. but when someone comes to the wrong uhaul pickup place,they should be told their vehicle is at another location the one they have the reservation at.. so I had to wait while they cancelled that one.. got another one then they bought all kinds of stuff and it just took for ever.. you reserver a vehicle for several reasons and pick a time to get in and out.. not wait behind someone at the wrong location..

I made a reservation for a van a couple days in advance. I picked the location closest to my home but I got moved a few miles away because the cargo van I wanted wasn't available at the original location. Ok, no problem- it'll cost a couple extra dollars in millage- but whatever. I arrived at the second location a few mins before my reservation and it is very unclear where to park. Also, the driveway involves a u-turn between freeway on/off ramps-- super dangerous just FYI. Anyway, I parked and walked in to the office where 2 parties were being helped by the 2 attendants. It's obvious none of the customers are amused and both the attendants are stressing trying to appease said guests. After about 7 mins one acknowledged my presence, which was about as awkward as being ingnored for 7 mins... Long story short: despite my reservation and being moved, the unamused couple ahead of me rented the last cargo van. I desperately explained (laced with superlatives) why I had a height issue and needed a cargo van to pick up some furniture because the last time I tried to drive a moving truck into my 8ft garage, it wasn't cute. Anyway I made due with a pickup truck. It wasn't ideal, but it was better than getting stuck in a 6 story parking garage. So what could you do to make the next person's experience more positive? Don't reserve trucks you don't have.
