The general manager was awesome in taking care of and handling many upset customers due to the credit card processing systems being down. He was able to handle very irate and upset customers. Customers were acting irrational and being very rude but he maintained his professional demeanor and took care of everyone the best of his ability. the issues were out of his control and he handled everything great.

I reserved at a different location but was sent to this one. Just to find out there was no truck available there either. After about an hr they were able to find a bigger size truck for me which i had to pay extra for space i didnt need . It worked out in the end but way to expensive after all fees are applied.

Prior to my arrival I did the “pre- check in” that is recommended on your website. Upon arrival I began the process of checking out my rental. Submitted my ID, Walked around and found the designated truck the app said I would be getting, filled out all the necessary steps Including my credit card payment submission. Finally on the app, it displayed, “Get your keys”. I walked into the facility, told one of the two workers that I just needed to get my keys. He told me I would still need to wait in line, which was fine. When it was my turn I told him I had filled everything out. He said I would still need to be looked up on the computer. He asked for me respond to a text he sent my phone which asked for a pic of my ID. Again I told him I had already completed this part on the app and asked why I would be going through these steps again, he said “honestly I wouldn’t trust the app”. By now I’m a little frustrated wasting time on an app with steps I’m now repeating. He asks about the insurance, again I told him I had already chosen a package and he asks me questions I had already filled out previously. Finally he tells me what my total $ due would be. I tell him I already submitted a payment, he claims it didn’t go through. I open my banking app and show him it did go through. He claims that was an initial deposit that will credit back to my account. Having two charges I was frustrated but needed to get things going by now. We get the truck and I look in the back. There wasn’t any of the equipment I ordered/paid for. I had to wait for him to come back out and retrieve everything I needed. Once my move is complete and I turn the vehicle in, I open the website and sign in. I see (2) reservations for the exact same things I rented. (2) of everything! Now it’s clear to me that instead of looking up my name correctly the cashier worked off of another reservation instead of looking for the one I had Already paid for and submitted all the info needed. This is pretty frustrating, not only did the website app not work, the employee failed to help me out and re did everything I had already paid for and completed. Now I am sitting on two charges to me account and I would like for one to be refunded. Please advise Reservation #’s 24032962 (employee completed) Reservation. # 24032949- the one I completed and still showing as active. I was charged for both! Should only have been charged for one of them!

I had to upload my D/L pictures two times and fill out all my info before I even got to the location! Then I had to go through and do it all over again at the location??? This took another extra hour due to Uhaul Network issues, etc.??? I think Uhaul need to streamline the process so that customers do not have to go through so much problems just to rent a vehicle!

I reserved the trailer in Costa Mesa...it wasn’t until I arrived at the Costa Mesa location that I found out you changed my pick up location. I had to drive out of my way in the mix of bumper to bumper traffic. Not acceptable! Please alert people to changes in their reservations in a timely manner!

The guy who hooked me up did not know how to set the trailer on the ball properly. It was off and would not latch. When I told him he said “I know” and used the hand cart to lift the trailer and slam it on the hitch. Upon return it read return here and there was no one there. I went inside and the guy said for trailers that’s the wrong place. He was trying to back me up while on his phone.

My biggest concern is mileage. The odometer showed that I drove 72 miles, but I drove exactly 60 miles. That is a discrepancy of 12 miles. I also had to guess how much gas I used since there is no indicator of how many miles per gallon these trucks use I estimated at 15 gallons per mile, and I was way off... Apparently these trucks don't even come close, probably more like 10 miles per gallon. The mileage meter in the left corner is all over the place and inaccurate. I do feel somewhat cheated with mileage.

Really felt ripped off at this location. I've rented over hundreds cars/uhauls and I ALWAYS replace the gas. I have a system of filling up right next to the drop off location, and I ALWAYS monitor the gauge until the fuel is replaced. I did the EXACT same procedure here, but when I took it back there was only 1 person and he was very busy. I stood at the drop off location for about 10 mins before anybody even acknowledged me.... The attendant said he didn't have time to check me back in and would just go through the truck later and email me a receipt. I trusted him, but that backfired here....I received my final receipt and was charged for 1 gallon of gas. I'm disappointed that I didn't take a pic of the gas gauge when I dropped it off, but I can GUARANTEE I replaced the fuel and it didn't need any more. Matter of fact, I even noticed on this fill that I went a little OVER what I was supposed to replace. I feel ripped off by this location, they stole from me and ultimately UHaul had stolen from me as well. I don't plan on using Uhaul in the future and I plan to share my story with as many people as possible.

Your customer service is deplorable. I was lied to 3 times in one phone call. Outright lied to. If I could find another rental company I would never use Uhaul again. I am not th he only former customer that feels that way because I have asked several people about their experiences with your company. So no, I would never recommend Uhaul.

they overcharged me for one day, the truck was a piece of junk, it gave us headaches from the exhaust filtering to the cab, had a hard time going 45 on the freeway and the employees, both the guy who claimed it was his first day and the guy that should have been training him did not know what they were doing. Called customer support and the lady did not understand that they over charged me 39.95 plus tax and not billed me the difference instead of refunding it. Claimed the refund would be done right away and that the stores general manager would call me back but neither of those things have happened. I am very dissatisfied with this rental.

We always use Enterprise because the U-Haul cost per mile is too high thus not the best deal in town. Enterprise didn't have the van we needed on such short notice this time.
