Reserved a vehicle almost a week prior to pickup date. On the date of pickup, they say they don't have a vehicle for me.

I reserved 2 furniture dolly's because I needed them for my move. When I showed up they told me they had none available. Apparently they only have 3 total at the location and gave them away that morning even though I made sure to reserve them. This caused me to waste 2 hours finding and buying dolly's elsewhere and messed up my entire day plan. Why offer reservations if they wont be kept? And if they know they wont have the equipment available, a courtesy call would be expected so I can start my search for the equipment asap. Attendant was unsympathetic and my experience was very sub-par.
This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. The truck I booked over two weeks in advance was scheduled for a 9am pick up. It was changed to 12pm at a different location and I wasn't notified about the change. The 12pm truck was not even available when I went to pick it up at the other location. I needed a 26 foot truck and they gave me a 17'. I had to ask them for a discount and they gave me a very minimal discount. Customer service was poor, nobody cared or were trying to make something happen for me. Just an overall awful experience. I will no longer be using U-Haul and will definitely not recommend U-Haul to others.

we had booked an appliance dolly, when we got there there was no appliance for us. that created a lot of problem with our moving, had to pay extra to the help we got to move.
I'm not sure you could improve, they had me checked in and out in all of about 20 minutes.
Rented a truck to be used and the check engine light was on. I had the codes checked for my safety and there were two serious codes. I can't understand how this truck was â€œready for rentalâ€
Your employees must warn people renting truck/vans that if you're not going to refill gas back to the level there will be convenience fee of $30, so my exact 30 miles with 10mpg resulted in $46, as I didn't want to go gas station with a trailer.
We received a truck with the gas light on, and claimed in the paperwork it had 3/8 of a tank.

Made reservations online for a pick up truck and 1 furniture dolly. When I arrived I had the unfortunate luck to have Jose Bautista check me in. He immediately told me I could not have a furniture dolly. He would not explain why I couldn't have one, even though the website and reservations said I could. I told him if I couldn't have one then there should be a notice on the website or it shouldn't be an option to select. He offered no explaination or any other options and completely ignored my question of why I couldn't have a furniture dolly. Upon completion of payment he handed me the keys and contract. He did not inform me that i would be receiving a text message with a link to audit the vehicle before use nor did he tell me where I could find the vehicle on the lot. Fortunately the lot was almost empty so it didn't take me long to find the truck at the back of the lot. I called the customer service number and filed a complaint. If this employee can't provide basic customer service perhaps he should be reassigned to a department he doesn't have contact with customers. The only redeeming moment in my experience was returning the vehicle and dropping off the keys. The employee who assisted at that moment was friendly, helpful and a relief.

The after hours drop-off process was fantastic!! It was not a hassle and the process took only 10 minutes to complete.
The truck I reserved was not available. I did get a smaller truck but it made the move very difficult.

The online experience renting the trailer was excellent. Picking up the equipment was terrible. I had to drive from one Uhaul location to another without taillights on the trailer during rush hour to buy an adopter. They connected the adopter and walked away. Fortunately I tested it before I left and the lights were not functioning. They fiddled with it until the lights worked, but I left the lot with zero confidence in the trailer. The moving blankets I ordered were not provided. The trailer did not have a spare tire or chock blocks. This is unsafe and should at least be a highly recommended option on the rental page.
