Staff were efficient as they can be - knowledgeable, helpful in explaining insurances and charges. One thing I notice every time is the gas gauge was at 7/8 mark - although I only used the vehicle for 4 miles the gauge dropped fast - I had to put in gas but still appeared below the mark when picked up. I put in more than 1 gal for 4 miles - Point is leaving the gas at 7/8 is not recommendable.

Under staffed REALLY busy trying to return trailer 1hr wait was told to unhitch and leave the trailer. Also trailer advertised was was expected, 6'x12' utility trailer with ramp but the entry is less than 5' wide and could not load the UTV wasted 3hrs of my time driving...not happy

I tried using the online service via my phone; very slow, too many steps and the online agent was unable to verify my secon or third contact. I won’t try that again, a waste of my time. U-Haul needs to understand that people don’t answer a call from an unknown number - so, the call to verify my contacts won’t work. You need to rethink the online experience - you are trying to automate an existing manual process. Wrong approach. Think of the online as a new way of doing business.

When we went to pick up my U-haul, it took over an hour to check in. The owner was there and apologized for the wait but it's pretty ridiculous to have 1 person working at any location. Due to this delay, it took us 7 hours to drive to Reno that night.

Check engine light was on when I picked up the truck and the dolly trailer's right light fuse would not work and no replacement dolly was available. More staff is needed at this location. Owner was more helpful that the other staff member.

Don’t use the online checkin. Took too much time to do. I would have been better off waiting in line. Not only that but I had to have my identity “verified” by a phone call to my mother by someone from out of state despite the fact that I have rented vehicles several times from this company. Will not use the online check in again. It needs to be streamlined to be more patron friendly.

1. Your Self-Pickup using a mobile phone is a horrible experience. I wasted 20 minutes trying to get that done, and gave up and had to go wait inline because they couldn't reach two people. Why do I want U-Haul calling and bugging my friends and family for a reference on a Saturday morning? No one even picked up. I don't personally answer unknown calls these days because it is either solicitors or robo-dialers, I think most people are the same way these days. If I had known this was needed I wouldn't have wasted my time. So after i gave up on this, I had to go in the store and wait another 20 min in that line. By the way, anyone who has half a brain and really wants to steal your trucks could easily get two phone numbers to verify, one easy way would be using google voice. 2. There were a few pieces of garbage in the back (used roles of tape). 3. When driving home in my personal car the tire pressure light in my car came, and when I got home I found a nail my tire. I have no way of knowing it this came from the U-haul lot but I would bet money it did. Even if it was this is largely out of U-Hauls control, but if U-Haul wanted to got the extra mile you could get a magnetic sweeper for their parking lots.
