The whole ordeal was very up in the air. When I made the reservation online it said I had confirmed a particular vehicle at another location and then got a call from the St. Clair location. Then they contacted along with headquarters I assume multiple times giving me 3 or more times I could pick it up. I just gave up trying to figure it out and arrived at opening to attain the vehicular. The rest was fine, however setting it up was not pleasant at all!
I went to drop off the trailer and the lady told me to back in a slot and unhook the trailer. As you know trailers with a heavy tongue weight can stick on the ball. I asked her if there was anyone to help me lift the tongue off my hitch and her response was â€œUHaulâ€ doesn't have us do that- it's your responsibility to unhook and get the trailer off your truckâ€ she basically said. It's your problem not mine.
We ended up not needing to haul to Festus, but were made to drive an empty truck 45 minutes away to Festus instead of being able to return it to the location we picked it up from.

Put a reminder on gas tank to fuel after trip unless completely nessary. I lost _30 because I got fuel before trip. Got too much. No credit for fuel really sucks!!
No help on making sure trailer is hooked up correct.
It wasn't the storage facility I had the issue with. It was Uhaul. I needed to pick the truck up at 8am. I did it through mobile sign- in and expected it to be quick. But instead I finally got it at around 9am and I people(helpers) waiting on me. The whole selfie is kind of ridiculous and took longer that needed to. I set up an account a few days prior to speed up the process that didn't work. I figured that is why you sign in using a password, to use that password to get the truck. Not take a selfie and wait for an approval that took way to long. I will not use Uhaul again. And to finalize my complaint just a few words...password, password, password, password, password, password, not selfies!!!!!!

When an appointment time is set be ready for the customer, be prepared for them don't make them wait 30 minutes. People are renting trucks because they are moving and don't have time to wait for you to clock in. This is also after they had to change our pick up location because there was no other places with a truck within 15 miles and that already pushed back our desired pick up time an hour. This is not a cheap expense, the least they can do is be on time.
While trying to rent it asked for a scan of my drivers license they didn't have a scanner. they had to call St Louis MO to get help with the rental. two people tried to do it and both got it wrong had to call back a third time and the women looked at the rental on the computer and said she didn't know how they got it that messed up. she had it fixed in two minutes I had been waiting one hour. If they need to scan your license U Haul should furnish scanner's to all their rental locations if the had a scanner I could have be done in ten minutes.
Send trucks out with a full tank of gas. The gas gage was broke or not working correctly and ended up filling the tank up instead of putting it back to where it was. That being said what should of cost maybe $80 ended up being $135.
Put tongue jacks on your trailers some one is gonna get hurt trying to lift the trailer on and off the ball
No one helped hook up the trailer and I couldn't do it by myself so I had to leave and come back with help. Trailer needs a crank on the front. Also lights were not checked to see if they worked & they blinked on and off.
I had a little trouble with getting to the link from my phone. I'm not sure what the problem was but other than that, I was very pleased with the service and equipment. I will use U-Haul again next time I move!
Uhaul ripped me off. Took money off my card twice even though I paid in advace. I am reporting Uhaul to the Better Business Bureau!!!!! THIEVES!!!
