U-hauls policy is to let trucks go out with as little as a quarter of a tank of gas is not a good policy for clients. With the 26' truck with that amount of gas is used up in no time and is not enough to do anything. U-haul needs to up the minimum of gas to send out on a job. Best would be to require all truck are sent out with a full tank and required to be returned with a full tank.

This is a complaint with the phone customer service. I reserved a truck and on the day of received a call identifying that the locations system was down and they transferred my reservation to a new location. It wasn't my ideal location and I wanted to change it to some place closer to my work but was advised that the location it was changed to was the only location to accommodate my truck size (meaning they were the only location that had that size available) then I received a second voice mail identifying that my reservation was cancelled due to a no show! My reservation was for 5:00p but somehow someone changed it because Kenny (the rep in Sacramento ) said it was for 3:30p and was not sure why it was changed but he remembered me calling earlier and all written confirmation (text) identify reservation at 5:00p. I called back to complain about the inconvenience and got Janet (also in Sacramento) who was completely unfriendly and unhelpful. She identified herself as a reservation manager or supervisor and would not give me any of her information when I asked for it in the beginning of the call. After going back and forth with her she said she would put in the complaint, when I asked her for a reference of confirmation of the complaint she was very rude saying she wasn't done with the complaint. I ask once you're done is there a confirmation or reference number? Once again she went back amd forth with me. After about 3 mins she finally explained there wasn't one but I could call back to see if there were notes to the reservation. (Please pull that call) Since now Im frustrated and unpleased with her customer service, I contacted the 1-800 number and spoke to Shavon who was the most pleasant and helpful representative. She gave me a reference number 1353432 but I still haven't heard back from anyone about this horrible experience and poor customer service

When renting out a utility dolly you should make sure the truck they're renting has a ramp with it. I didn't even get to use the utility dolly since there was no ramp. My family had to lift the washer and dryer by hand into the truck. Definitely want a refund for the utility dolly since it wasn't used at the least.

Provide / Offer assistance to supply purchasing customer(s) in loading bulky items into customers auto. Also provide / offer sheltered loading for above type products purchased when there is wet (raining) weather at time of loading.

It would be helpful to include the wiring requirements for the trailers. I would have brought my adapter had I known the trailer required it. This added an extra hour of time to go home and get it to an already tightly planned evening.

Was a headache contacting the company to change the drop off location. Was on hold for 30 minutes waiting for the rep to find the correct number for me to contact to make the request. After holding for over 30 minutes rep still couldnt find the correct number. Hung up on her do to frustration and past time consuming just to find a number. Calles back talked to 3 different people just to be transferred to a number that kept saying there hours are from 7am to 7pm and to call back at normal business hours but was after 7 am when getting transferred. Horrible experience and very poor customer services. Reps need to learn there job and how tp do it to provide better services to paying customers. Should not be that much of a hassle just ro cuange the drop off location and still didnt get the location changed.

When the cargo van was picked up the gas gauge showed the tank was full. After traveling 13 miles the van took 3.6 gallons of gas to fill the tank Hard to believe that the 13 miles took 3.6 gallons. We felt that this was a one way to overcharge.
