I reserved a car dolly at the mills station location and without my consent the reservation was changed. The lady assistinf me was in a bad mood and vocalized it, cursing and complaining. I was first providers a dolly with a broken chain hook. Then i was privided another with a bad light(turn signal/brake) and I was told that it worked(it didnt). The website states that I am owed $50 since no didn't get the reservation that I got. How can i claim by $50?

The Assistant Manager that helped me through the process of checking out and the return deserves recognition at the highest level. Uhual had made several mistakes throughout the rental process, as I was to rent at a different location close to home and found myself with no alternatives but to drive an additional 36 miles roundtrip to pickup the truck at this location. Appreciated that this location provided excellent service to help offset the overall expierence.

I was referred here: 5220 Auburn Blvd when my original reservation FAILED at: 1650 El Camino Ave, Sacramento, CA 95815. I waited a long time with no representative helping me. Then they didnt have my reserved truck. Then they tried to rent me another uhaul truck that had damage. I was told to go to this location: 5220 Auburn Blvd. This location was OUT of the way from where I lived. I was told I would get a $50 CREDIT by mail. I hope that is true. I was not satisfied with service provided by U-Haul. I made a reservation via U-Haul's web site and paid the full amount in advance for a truck, car carrier, hand truck, furniture dolly, and pads. In my reservation, I specified the West Sacramento, CA location as my preferred pickup site. At 23 hours before my reserved pickup time, I was notified that my pickup would instead be at the Arden Way location in Sacramento, CA. Then at 17 hours before my reserved pickup time, I was notified that my pickup would now be at the Auburn Boulevard location in Sacramento. By sending me to Auburn Boulevard, U-Haul forced me to accumulate an additional 17 miles in travel distance, but U-Haul did not adjust the total mileage allowed in the rental contract. As a result, because of U-Haul redirecting my reservation, I exceeded the allowed mileage and was charged additional fees. In addition to the redirected reservation, the equipment reserved in advance was not ready when I arrived for pickup. My reserved time was 10:30 a.m. I arrived at 10:55 a.m. to find that the car carrier was not yet hooked up to the truck. In addition, the Auburn Blvd. site did not have the furniture dolly I reserved. However, they told my that I could go to a U-Haul neighborhood vendor down the road and get the dolly there. Excuse me?! I had an advance reservation, confirmed by telephone call the day before. If the U-Haul site did not have a furniture dolly then they should get one from down the road, not force me to drive, and incur additional mileage, to obtain the dolly myself. I doubt that I will use U-Haul again in the future and I do not recommend U-Haul.

Ipaid a cash deposit they told me ill get it back at there location but wen i got back they said i have to get it back were i dropped so i drove back to sparks .lot of ru around and loss in gas and mileage and i still have not got payed goin on 3 weeks or so terrible customer service??
