Waited for 2 hours for a customer to return truck then had to go get trailer at different location 15 miles away they changed locations of pick up 3 times if I wouldn't have called I would have gone to the wrong place they need to get it together better management people that can do things I kept hearing we can't do anything we don't have a manager here only assistant manager who can't make decisions or he wasn't really concerned with the horrible wait any of it he was right next to the guy checking me in and did not a thing never uhaul ever again I would rather pay an extra 100 it would have saved me in the long run because I had 5 workers waiting they don't work for free

I wish you had plug rentals for the lights on the trailer I had to buy one which made the cost go up. Also $19 for a few hours of use seems a bit much for a trailer. People were friendly, wish the original location on watt had what I needed.

Steering was horrible, almost to the point of dangerous. Truck only had 1/4 tank if gas at pick-up, guess they don't plan in you moving very far before you need to fill up. Drop off person was rude and uncooperative. Fund another location for your U-haul needs.

I was left waiting for 20mins to return the truck. I finally went in and let them know I was waiting and a u-haul representation told me he knew I was out there and I hadn't waited that long. Good customer service would have been to let me know they would get to me as soon as they could. And not challenge the wait period, act like the customer matters....

This has been among the worst experiences I've ever had with a company, and I will make sure that anyone who ever mentions moving house in my presence is aware of what u-haul did to me. I ordered a small truck at 5220 Auburn Bl because my wife and I needed to walk to the location get the truck. They called me and offered me free miles if I would drop it off at a different location; on the phone the woman and I discussed the locations, myself with the aid of google maps. I agreed with u-haul on the phone that I would pick up the truck at 5220 Auburn Bl and drop it off to a different location, also on Auburn but further away. Mere hours before we were due to pick up our truck, I got notification that we were expected at a Roseville location, far too far to walk. I called up, expecting them to fix this mistake, and this is where the experience went from being an unfortunate mistake on u-haul's part to being a disaster. Firstly, they refused to even acknowledge that I felt they had made a mistake. Not "they refused to acknowledge their mistake"; they refused to even agree that I was making a complaint. They treated me as though I had simply changed my mind at the last second, and that they were doing me a favour by trying to get me the vehicle and location I wanted. Desperate because my wife was practically already on the way, and because we were moving house that very day, I agreed to take a van from the correct location (the only vehicle they had). I said to the man on the phone that since a van was too small we'd need to make multiple trips, and that it was a good thing we had been promised free mileage. This is where he should have said that wasn't happening, but he didn't, so I stupidly assumed that the same deal was happening. When my wife (who was picking it up) called me to say that they had made her sign a contract that didn't get free miles, I called them back to demand an explanation. The explanation boiled down to that we signed the contract, so tough love, and feel free to complain to u-haul. I did - I went through the channels and left a detailed message explaining how not one but two verbal contracts had been broken by u-haul and how every step of the way we were treated with distain and condescention by the company by being treated as though we had no complaint and that our shoddy treatment was our fault for changing our minds, since it obviously isn't possible that the woman I spoke to initially made a serious error when processing our agreement - but no one ever got back to me. No call, no email. I'm a former customer service agent. When a mistake this kind is made, the right thing to do would be to apologise and to bring us to a truck - it wouldn't have been hard to put us in a taxi and send us to the location they wanted. It would have been annoying, but mistakes happen. But this complaint isn't about the initial mistake; it's about they systematic refusal to accept responsibility for seriously inconveniencing t
