as i proceeded on my trip i kept hearing a klunking/rattling sound. having to brake quickly i was supprised by a thrust from the trailer. my first stop revealed the problem. no fluid in the surge brake master cylinder. no maintenence on this trailer, master cylinder was rusty inside. this could cause a serious accident. also your pricing is crazy. i rented the same trailer a month ago same pickup and destination but this last time had to pay 180 dollars more....,total ripoff. nothing but gouging.

The cleaning expectation was not well communicated, the insurance wasn’t explained, the drop off guy was rude and the truck was dangerous to drive. (And I used to drive a truck as part of a past job!)

     I made a reservation for a 20ft truck on Friday, July 13th and added my credit card to the reservation to "GUARANTEE" it. On the 13th upon picking up, I was informed that my reservation was given to another customer because I didn't pick up within 20 minutes of my scheduled time. This in turn, caused the loss of my initial scheduled movers (whom did not offer deposit refund) and the availability loss for a 20ft truck. The events forced me to settle for a 17ft truck which required additional trips to complete the moving task.      On Saturday, the 14th the upon my express check-in arrival (express check-in was inoperable) I proceeded inside and the lady representative at the counter was sitting, chatting on a personal cell and enjoying her meal with candy snacks. The business phone then rang and the representative dismissed her personal call to answer (while she continued tastily eating). I atrempted to make her aware that my movers were on the clock. When she completed assisting (the ABSENTEE) the phone customer 25 mins had passed . I verbalized my urgency and she rolled her eyes then continously slammed the contract on the counter as she spoke (still eating). My movers had to leave and I was forced to find alternate movers (non professional due to last minute) for a second time.      Dropping off the vehicle was additional unforeseen stress by that same female young lady. Once again speedy checkout was not an option. Express checkout turned into a 90 minute loss of time and I was late to work. The same representative was even more passive aggressive. That employee is a representative for Uhaul. Her actions reflect Uhaul az a UNIT. She caused me to lose over $500 additional.

Opted for mobile check in. Did all of the leg work for your staff on my mobile device but still had to wait 18 minutes in line just to obtain a key. Should be an express option for the customers who chose to do the mobile device since there is no signature or paperwork needed.

This would be hard but my appointment was for 10:45 and when I arrived at 10:40 there was a line and I was 5th in line. By the time I got on the road it was 11:20. The people behind the counter were doing an excellent job working with the customers but you really need more help on the weekends.

The trailer was too small for car and had a lot Of whipping,which if not experienced in trailering could have been dangerous for someone else, max speed to prevent whipping Was 50mph on interstate. That being said I understand the next size up Was a 5th wheel which we don't have a hook up for. So we were glad to be able to move the car a SHORT 30 MILE DISTANCE. I would recommend back roads. I admit the car was an old 1970 Buick Electra (huge) with a huge engine.

Be clearer about how much to refill the gas tank. Misunderstood agent to say "if between here is ok", but still was charged the refueling fee even being in the area but not the same amount when I left.

I was lied to about the trailer lights working. I dpuble checked them before I left the best I could. I found a light out at the top of the trailer. It took a half hour to change the light out. When I got home I had my wife check the brake lights. Both of the bottom brake lights were out. This is after I was told everything is good. When I returned it the woman said it can't get fixed because the shop was closed.

I ordered a dolly, but when i picked up my truck it did not come with a dolly. However when i dropped my truck off I was charged for a dolly that i never received

First, when I went to start the truck the gauge read empty and the light came on. After alerting the tenant at the pick-up location, he just told me that I should return the truck with 1/4 tank and it will be okay!!! After being on the road to start my journey to Florida, I noticed the gas gauge was inoperable. The needle in the gauge stopped just after the 1/2 tank when I filled it up. It took a while to realize how far I was able to drive even after filling it up. I called the customer service line and she had to annotate my concerns on the contract since the pick-up location did not. Not very good business ethics if you ask me..

The front desk rep was not very informative nor was the rep that checked us back. Not shown where the level for fuel, was not told until we returned that we needed to hose the truck off, when I was told to do so, the rep walked away with no instructions on where or how to work the water system and repeatedly called me hon and sweetie. unprofessional.

Have vehicles that all of the equipment works. It was 97 degrees outside and the trucks AC was not working, after moving beds and furniture I was looking forward to a cool drive. Unfortunately this was not the case.

Do nit rip me off by saying the truck had a quarter of a tank in gas in it when it was clearly below an eighth. Then I put over $70 in gas in it ( full), drive to Jersey City, drop it off with a quarter if a tank and they say it is less than an eigth of a tank. Clearly a scam gane being pulled.

I received a call after 4:30 pm the day before telling me they had overbooked and my rental would not be available at the designated time. Fortunately, I was able to adjust. This is not my first U-haul rental...In general the vehicles are not well maintained, but that may be a function of the whole rental experience. The staff on site were great/helpful.
