Christopher Winder was a great employee and represented UHaul amazingly well. He had a great attitude and demeanor, worked well with all the customers, and kept cool as he was getting pulled in multiple directions on a busy afternoon. You need to make sure you keep him on staff as long as possible. We were impressed with the entire staff and the process for rental and check-out. On the date we got the car trailer connected, the team was getting frazzled because it was busy and it didn't look like there were enough staff to help everyone.

Make sure that you have enough staff coverage or a place to sit instead of standing in the line for 15 to 20 minutes. Some people have health issues.

The 800 number was very useless. They couldn't guarantee the trailer we needed until I was transferred three times. I kept asking for the actual location to see if they had the trailer (6'x12' w/ ramp) and they "couldn't do that." Now I have the actual store front location's number and will call them directly. I recommend updating the 800 number's policy(s).

Everything was fine regarding my pick-up location except for my interactions with the gentleman whom I worked with. Rude and belligerent. And seemed to imply that I had complained only because his "face" looked different than mine (his words). An odd statement to make, to be sure, and implied that the only reason I had complained was somehow related to racism. Utterly ridiculous and infuriating, and terribly poor customer service. I certainly won't be returning to that location.

The store did not have the equipment that we needed and has on reservation. The rental took over one hour to process because the attendant had NO IDEA how to work the computer... He ended up giving us a larger trailer than we wanted even tho I SAW the trailer we had reserved out in the lot ready to rent! He even charged us more and said he could not change the price and could not honor the U-Haul $50.00 guarantee. I paid more for equipment I did not want... Terrible U-Haul Experience!

The location at Capital Blvd was great. We originally reserved out Uhaul at Beryl St. When we showed up at our reservation time, they said they could not help because the lady was out of the office. We called Uhaul at the last minute, and Capital Blvd quickly helped.

I have been consistently overcharged for a 30 day rental by not being given the 3000 mile rate + .29 Cent Rate for any miles over 3000. I have been overpaying by being overcharged at a standard .59 Cent per mile rate, no matter how many miles I drive or how long I rent for. This is unacceptable and I will need to have all of these contracts retroactively be adjusted. I have been renting from Uhaul for 4 years now and have been overcharged even at the old .49 per mile rate. I will be seeking either a refund on these contracts or I will take in free monthly rental until the adjusted contract amounts are satisfied. I first eent to the millbrook location. The first 20 ft truck they tried to rent me was filthy. The second was too. It was a long way to walk. The woman was nonapologetic. She said wsit here and I will clean it. That would have taken over an hour and I had movers on the click waiting. She looks at me and says I dont have any other trucks like it is my problem. She did not offer me a different size truck. I had to suggest pick up at the atlantic road location. At atlantic road the customer service associate apologized several times for the inconvenience. He told me that if the truck at his location was dirty to let him know and he would clean. Unfortunately it was so late that I couldnt eait and accepted the truck as is. In March I rented a 26 ft truck from the capital rd downtown location and it was immaculate. I will go back to that location from now on.

Advise the your Branch Manager to let corporate know that they should remove Smith's Movers and Shakers as moving company. They broke my travertine marble table top by dropping it and were very unprofessional. I've been trying to contact the owner via phone/text and he doesn't respond. 1st- our reservation was incorrect. They booked an open trailer and not an enclosed trailer. So we had to go to another store to get the trailer. Then I needed to change it to drop off in Greensboro instead of back in Raleigh. I called the Capital Blvd. Raleigh location to change it and she said that is fine. That change apparently was never made in the system, so no one knew the trailer would be taken to Greensboro instead. So then we returned it to Greensboro Saturday about 3 pm, and it appears they didn't do on their end what needed to be done either. No one has been helpful on the phone. I spoke with Ghazi Samet this morning, and he was very rude and demeaning to me. I did not appreciate the way he treated me at all. I plan to escalate this further due to the poor customer service. I have now called about 8 times total, and my bank has been way overcharged for the equipment. It isn't resolved yet.

I would only recommend to a friend that it will cost twice what is advertised. I also had trouble receiving an email from Uhaul to begin with, and the .png receipt was difficult to download. The manager acted like he did not know us when we returned, and made us wait in the sun to be processed when bringing the truck back when we had to see him to reprocess anyway, because the solution of dropping off at the other end did not work for me. A better rate instead of a runaround would have been more helpful.

yes, the Spruce Pine store was fine, however, I was upset picking it up in Raleigh- I had done the reservation because it was crucial timing, and when I got there he said they had no trailer. I pushed and got someone else to investigate outside and they found it/one. He was not bad, only looking at his screen. It worked out OK, but PLEASE, when someone rents a unit, do make sure you have it or let them know IN ADVAN
