The woman I dealt with on the phone was one of the most hateful and rude people I have ever talked to in my life! She was outright lied twice, then wouldn’t listen and then hung up on me. We ordered a 26’ truck, ended up with a 15’ truck that we actually made three trips with and now have to rent another truck from somewhere else to finish moving. Needless to say it’s been a horrible experience that has led me to a decision to never use your company again!

Make sure your equipment is in good condition. For $675 for a 1 way trip I expected quality equipment. The trailer leaked water and damaged some of the contents. Now I'm getting the typical run a round, call this place or that place, no one is responsible, even with the extra insurance

This is the second time I have had dealings with Scotties. The first time they didn't have the trailer I reserved. Had to go across town to get another trailer. Second time had to wait 20 min to drop off trailer. There was no one around. They run an amusement park there also. Did not get a return receipt as promised, Had to call U Haul customer service to get it cleared up. Customer service was very helpful.

Requested pick up was at Axels Shell in Quincy, got no call the day before to verify so called Axels day of pickup and they said trailer hadn't arrived yet. So after trailer still had not arrived an hour after pickup time they looked around and said Scotties had one, and I went over there to pick it up. So pickup was delayed several hours, not sure what was behind the problem. Everything else went well.

This facility needs another computer for the U Haul service. We had to wait until a party before us completed the paperwork for their rental. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable apologizing for the wait.

I can see how the 24/7 capability is nice, but without the proper WiFi service it is impossible. I wanted to pick the truck up at 0730, but due to the poor service I wasn't able to get the truck until 0930 when an employee arrived. Totally unsat!

I’ve rented from U-Haul before, and we’ve always had a good experience until this time. Once I placed my order, I got several confirmations about the pick up location at Cane’s Automotive until just the other day when it told me it was going to be at Scottie’s Fun Spot. I had a reservation for 9:30 that had been confirmed multiple times. When I got there to pick up, the owner of the venue was approaching the door when I noticed it was locked. I said I had a 9:30 reservation for a U-Haul. He said “we don’t open until 10”. He was very rude even after explaining the situation. I wasn’t aware of their specific hours...I just know that I had a 9:30 reservation that had been booked for a week. I had family waiting on me to get the U-Haul to them by 10. By the time they were finally able to figure out what they were doing and after dealing with the rudeness of the owner, I finally left there at almost 10:30, nearly an hour after my pick up time. Not only was the owner terrible, but this was a very strange place to have a U-Haul location being that it has a skating rink, go-carts, a play-place, etc. I would not recommend this location to anyone else. I won’t be doing mobile U-Haul reservations in the future. Instead, I’ll simply be calling my desired pick up location directly to avoid this confusion.

I had bought a trailer hitch/ball during the checkout process and was instructed that it would be at the store for me when I arrived. It was not. The employee apologized and handled it professionally. The location is not near anythings, so I had to drive back into town, purchase another hitch/ball, then drive back to finish checking out. I asked the clerk to refund my purchase, but he said he couldn't. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a refund.

Don't rent out a reserved unit to a walk-in customer and hope that a customer that has a unit out will be returning it on time. I made reservations in Pittsfield where there was a unit in stock at the time. That unit was moved to Quincy the day after I made the reservation and I was informed that I would need to pick up my rental unit in Quincy. This caused me to drive 60 miles further than expected and it wasn't there when I arrived to pick it up. I am very disappointed in U-Haul at this point and doubtful that I will rent from U-Haul in the future. I was credited $50.00 after a lengthy process. I was told that it was my fault that the unit was not available because I was late to pick up the unit. I was told that the unit would be available from 11:15 am to 9:00 pm. I arrived at 7:15 pm and there was no available unit on site. That is no way to do business and is not excusable to blame the customer for this type of error. I don't believe that the error was caused by the staff at Scottie's Fun Spot. I believe that there are very poor communications between the rental reservations department and the rental locations.
